My family has been going here for years! Always super sweet and have the food ready in minutes. I love the Shrimp Lo Mein, sesame chicken, and sweet and sour chicken! The lunch Buffett is great as well!

Good chinese food with quick service. Vegetable soup is killer if you like simple broth/vegetable mix. The diet specials are also great and with the extra ginger, add a little dimension to just steamed veggies and shrimp.

My favorite Chinese place. My go to is the crab Rangoon and the shrimp chow fun. Food is always hot and price is great.

Best Chinese in the area… hands down. Super friendly, fast and we’ve never been disappointed with anything we’ve ordered. As the other reviewers mentioned, best for delivery or takeout and yes, she remembers what you order. Highly recommend.

Probably the worst Chinese I’ve ever had. There are few deliveries on this side of town but you’d do better to open up a box from your freezer. The sweet and sour shrimp was soft and not crisp. The crab Rangoon was overwhelmed with onions. Everything was chewy and tasted like it was from a can or frozen. Nothing tasted fresh.

This review is based purely on a delivery experience. I don’t think I’ve even noticed First Wok even though I have driven past it hundreds of times, and I haven’t dined in or done takeout yet. However, based on my first experience with FW, I will become a repeat customer because from the food/service/speed/price, FW was the BOMBDOTCOM. The menu is what you would expect from your typical Chinese American takeout joint. My daughter LOVES Chinese, it isn’t my favorite because it’s usually so greasy with dubious meat quality. However, I felt sick all day(ie., missed a Unilocal event in the afternoon and had to cancel dinner reservations for my kiddo and I at Via Vite for that evening), and once the kiddo came home from playing all day with a friend, I decided after some serious Deep Couch City TLC all day, that we were both ready to eat. I checked Unilocal for the nearest Chinese delivery and FW popped up, both near my house and with good reviews. MAN, I’m glad I called! I couldn’t stop ordering. The gentleman on the line was super friendly, he repeated my order back for accuracy and promised the food would be at my house in 30 minutes. 20 minutes later, delivery was at my door: the food was piping hot and fresh, perfectly packaged, and everything was as ordered. The sweet-and-sour chicken was crispy and fresh; the General Tso’s chicken and broccoli was delicious and not drowning in nasty sugary sauce. The egg drop soup hit the spot and was one of the best I’ve ever eaten. And the crab rangoons were all the crunchy, cream cheesy goodness that you would hope for. All in all, one of the best Chinese meals I’ve had and all for $ 23!(Not including tip, but tip for sure if your delivery is this prompt! And a $ 1.50 delivery surcharge). Yummy in our tummies, we CRUSHED, and such a lifesaver that day.

Super quick service. Appreciate the lady who remembers my usual order, which is a tad specific. It always comes out correctly whether I take out or dine in. Great value for the price!

Have eaten here many times. The lunch buffet is a bargain at under 5 dollars. Few tables to eat at. Most people do carryout. We have had good meals as well as disappointing meals. It really depends on the chef. Check your bags before leaving. Too many times we were shorted. Coupons in the Buy in Anderson book and card. Crab Rangoons and pit stickers are good. Dragon and Phoenix and subgum wonton are my favorite. I dont recommend beef dishes. Too many times i have been disappointed in quality. Overall one of better Chinese places around.

Not sure what’s going on here, maybe cost of good food gotten too high. Last few times quality has been awful. I’m not sure about all that indentured servitude, just looks like they are living the American dream… but the food needs to return to the previous standard. Right now it’s not good.

Fast food, but I love the food, and that I am helping families have a chance to live in America. Indentured servitude is a great way for these families to come and be able to have children as they see decide to. Seriously, this is more than good food and friendly service, this social justice in action. I don’t live a shallow life, so when I find a chance to do good while treating my family to some good food, it is so much better.

The other reviewer nailed it when they said, if you go to a restaurant for ambience, don’t come to First Wok. I do come to restaurants for ambience, depending on the situation or occasion. If you’re more into getting good food at reasonable prices? I’d go to First Wok. New to the area, we went there based on J.M.‘s review and we’re glad we did. We got takeout and we’ll be back.

If you are looking for somewhere to eat with a lot of atmosphere, keep looking. But, imagine you knew a place where the cook would make you literally any combination you could dream up, picking and choosing from a long list of ingredients. Now you know of one. Think of the traditional, printed menu on the counter, virtually identical in every fast food Chinese place in the U.S. as just the start. Want a dish with a brown, spicy sauce? No problem? Love peanuts, but hate vegetables! Just ask. They will make it — at a reasonable price. And, after a couple of tries, and you get your dish just the way you love it, the woman taking your order(it has been the same person for the years I have been going) will ALWAYS remember it when you come in to order. Despite the lack of ambiance, I encourage you to sit down and eat there to get the ‘breath of the wok’, not possible by the time you get home.
