My favorite tea place! I love how well the employees know the tea. When I’m in the mood for something different I tell them what I usually get and they recommend something. I always love whatever is suggested. Can’t get enough of their tea!

When you go to any Urban Teahouse you can tell the employees truly love their jobs. They greet their regulars by name when they walk in the store. As a first time guest at the May Ave. location, I felt just as welcomed as I do at the 23rd Street location. Both locations are very friendly and incredibly informative. They take the time to answer your questions, learn your flavor profiles, let you smell each tea in which you have an interest. I have not tried any of the delectable treats, but all of the teas I have tried, I have loved. I am currently enjoying enjoying my newest citron oolong purchase, as my friend read that oolong is the best for allergies. Apparently, white and green are also good for allergies, black tea is not — something I learned from my visit to the May Ave. location. Tea is a great alternative for sodas and coffee without the side effects. I encourage everyone to go to either location and find some new products.

I love this location of the Urban Teahouse. The décor is spare and clean, but the best thing is the wide variety of teas and the knowledgeable staff. Just let them know what you like and they will brew up a delicious cup of tea. There are also tasty baked goods and a Keep It Local discount.

I’m not a really big fan of this place. Jill and I went to this place. Jill didn’t like her drink and my chai tea was kinda of weird tasting so I don’t think I would try this place again

If u even vaguely like tea this is where you must come. You’ll find the staff knowledgable under the tutelage of owner Christi, a tea savant. She is truly passionate about every cup of tea that is served here. You can have your tea hot or cold, in or to go, large or small. And you can take your favorite leaf home! My only remaining wish for them is they could be sustained by after dinner business so I could have a lovely cup of tea after dinner at the relaxing shop. Oh and I really like new location especially!

This is a really cool tea shop. I’m glad they’ve opened uptown on 23rd(backside, near parking for The Drake). I wish the location was down in Bricktown or somewhere a little less obscure because I’d like to see this place thrive. The staff is great whether ordering made to order iced tea or loose leaf. Very helpful in explaining how to brew at home. I now brew a lot of my own tea but still go back to support the business and buy my loose leaf!

Sometimes you just need a lavender Earl Grey sugar cookie to make life better! This place is a gem. From the amazing hot and cold tea selections to the yummy goodies, this place makes me happy. Some of my favorites are the white strawberry tea and the passion fruit/strawberry green tea. If I stay in store to enjoy, I drink it hot. If I’m running around, I like the teas cold. Both ways are equally awesome. By far my favorite thing to do is look at all the cool and unique tea pots and assessories they have. It is a great place to pick up a gift for a friend that enjoys a great cup of tea. Make sure you go visit and don’t forget the sugar cookie!

I think this is one of those hidden gems within the okc area. I came here since my cousin recommended it to me because I’m more of a tea person than a coffee one. I had to wait on my cousin to arrive so I asked the clerk if they can do special types of blend such as mixing various tea. I ask because I got these loose leaf tea mix from Korea and I wasn’t able to find any when I went back to the country. The clerk notified me that the owner is really good and making these blends and I should just bring the loose leaves for the owner to sniff out and she can make it for me! Totally plan on going soon to see if this is accomplished or not. Behind the counters seems to be multiple tons of tea and they seemed pretty knowledgeable. This place is one where you pick your tea(white, black, green, oolong, hibiscus) and you can add milk and sweeten it up and decide if you want hot or cold. I don’t live in this area but I do plan on coming often!

First time here after having this place bookmarked for two years! Me and the bf got the white peach blossom tea. He got his cold with level two sweetness and I got mines with level three sweetness. They offer agave, local honey, Splenda, raw sugar, and possibly more options which was nice since, I prefer raw sugar. You can also add local milk, regular milk, and non-dairy options as well. Loved the baked goods and the nice employees. Can’t wait to go back! This is my favorite tea shop now!

Love, love, LOVE this place It has been my friends’ and my «go-to» place to hang out for a few years. Some other reviews say this place is expensive, but compared to other teahouses I have been to, I think this place is great! I get bulk teas from here, and I find myself refilling my tea tin once every few MONTHS, and each time it is roughly $ 16. Granted, I don’t drink tea EVERY day, but I drink it at least on a weekly basis. I like what they have I like their prices And I like their ambience/staff It is a great little place to check out

They have a wonderful assortment of teas! Best in town. Just because of the selection and the owner, they now have a lifelong customer. They have plenty of brewing devices for everyone and don’t overwhelm you with all the extra stuff places like Teavana have. Everything you need is here. The owner and employees are exactly who you want to be selling you tea. The polite, interested, and friendly demeanor they posses makes just the stop worthwhile. They don’t strictly push the most expensive teas and aren’t throwing all kinds of teas at you to try or buy. I don’t like being force fed opinions or products. They allowed me to think for myself and choose a tea I wanted since ultimately everyone has their own preferences and should try things at their own pace. The recommendations were tailored for me and not by marketing majors, which I have plenty of experience with. The Hors d’oeuvres selection is a nice touch since who doesn’t love a biscuit or a scone with a cup of tea! The variety of tea they have can seem a little overwhelming, but do not fear! They are all grand and they will tell you which goes well at certain times of day, which are good cold, which you may enjoy, among any other situation. It is a wonderful place to go to study as the ambiance is nice yet not distracting, they provide wifi, and you can drink as much tea as you like!

The hotter it gets outside, the more I think about t, An Urban Teahouse’s iced tea. Specifically, the pineappley coconutty flavored tea. Iced. Or the moroccan mint. Or any of the other flavors, because I like them all. I love the ambience here. So peaceful. Tranquil. Quiet. I can get some work done. I can chat with friendly staff. Everyone behind the counter is just so, so… nice! Friendly! Warm! Hospitable! They take the time to get to know everyone by name!

I’ve been on a bit of a tea kick lately as I try to drink less and less coffee. They have such a broad selection of tea here, I’ve tried a couple different types so far. My favorite has been the black vanilla tea, iced. It’s very subtle tasting, but very, very tasty. The atmosphere is really nice, filled with great art for sale by local artists. It’s very quiet inside, which I appreciate(especially when I’m trying to get a little work done) and the staff is so smiley and friendly. Highly recommend you try!

Their tea is great, what more can I say? The peppermint tea is my favorite. Also, glad that the hipsters haven’t populated this place yet, it will be sad when they do. The staff is humble and the drinks are great. Will come again.

Like Madea once said, my soul cries out, HALLELUJER! thank God for saving me. The saving here is referring to hipsters. Praise the LAWD for the lack of hipsters at this joint. There is nothing pretentious or hipster about this place, which is very refreshing. Many of the coffee spots in the city are infested by hipsters, and I’m soooo glad this place has caffeine without the hipsters. This is one of my favorite businesses in the city. It’s something different from the more popular hipster coffeehouses. It’s a simple laid back place with a great playlist. There is always artwork on the walls for sale by local artists. One of the only places with a decent variety of tea. The proprietor is clearly passionate about tea and loves the business. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask. She’s always willing to answer any questions, and just a pleasant person. I love masala chai, and this is the closest thing to masala chai served by a non-Indian place. I went here between classes because I was too lazy to drive home to make myself chai. It’s not exactly like Indian masala chai, but much better than the crappy chai tea lattes offered by other places. I’ve only tried the Shimla and Assam blends, which are similar to the strong Indian teas. Since masala chai is served in milk form, I recommend getting it as a latte. You have the option of choosing your milk, and sweetness on a scale of 1 to 3. On a side note, why do people keep saying chai tea latte??? Chai=tea, so it translates to tea tea latte, which makes no sense. It’s like saying hamburger sandwich…

They have delicious, albeit expensive, tea; a small sweets case; and an outlet at every table. The staff are friendly and ready o assist you. I gave it four stars for the atmosphere, which is found wanting. Tables are uncomfortable, and chairs are metal and noisy. From a tea-snob point of view: I was disappointed to find out that they serve your tea while the leaves are still steeping. It would benefit them to either pre-steep it so it comes out perfect and ready, or to give you a timer so you know how much time is left for the tea to get to its sweet spot. Overall, I had a good experience here! The even had wifi.

The staff is SO great and didn’t make me feel dumb about asking about the different kinds of tea the way I often feel when visiting other local coffee shops. They have a huge variety of teas to choose from, and lots of easy descriptive words that I can understand when they describe the flavors to you. I felt like my drink was truly catered to exactly what I want. Location is great, and you can bring your bike inside so it doesn’t have to wait outside in the cold for you.

Talk about a down-right dreamy place. Oh hello, Chamomile and Peppermint iced tea recommended to help calm my newly prego self down. Oh hi, DUDE Sweet Chocolate treats! You all make me very happy. Really, this is just a happy place. Local art rotated through the walls, the art of making fine tea mastered by the staff, treats and WiFi make for any excuse to run in or stay for a few hours. If they open a location in Tulsa, I’ll probably pee my pants with excitement. Until then, you bet whenever I’m in OKC this will be a stop for well, all kinds of happiness!

Why do I devote so much of my time to Unilocal?Because Unilocal helps me find little gems like this one tucked away in places I would not otherwise notice. Lucky me was introduced to this teahouse at this year’s Unilocalies, and I could not be happier with the discovery. My son has a favorite tea, which is picked and packaged in Hawaii. We moved here one year ago and brought a nice stash of this tea, but in recent months the tins have begun to empty. With no trip home planned for the near future, we have been on a hunt for a teashop that could recreate the flavor. I explained this to Kristy during a lull at the Unilocalies event, and she assured us that her staff would do what they could. Sure enough, the moment we described the tea, and then let them smell what remained in the canister, the wall of massive tins of tea started moving. 100+ teas altogether, but only a few made it to the counter in front of us. Within just a few moments the young man who had stepped up to help had created a blend which is much closer than anything else we have found on our search. The only reason it is not a perfect match is that some of the ingredients simply are not well known outside of the Polynesian cultures, and so are not easily available. We have spent the last few weeks brewing this lovely blend, and are all looking forward to a return trip so that we can add even more variety to our tea cabinet.
