I’m a burger junkie. This is true. So heed my words when I say Tuckers has a great burger. The top 2 in OKC, and only because I like to leave room for a place I may not have tried. The burger was massive. But it was also very juicy. I always get a little extra mayo on the side in fear that a burger may be a little dry, but I had nothing to worry about with a Tuckers burger. Go, feast, nap, enjoy. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is because they did not have ranch for my frys. I’m serious about that ranch. Obviously.

Having heard much about Tucker’s Onion Burgers, my girlfriend and I decided to try it for lunch. We arrived around noon, and the place was packed. We were lucky to find seating after we ordered, but I suspect the lack of seating was only due to the lunch rush, as the place was nearly empty when we were leaving. I ordered a single onion burger with cheese, mustard, and pickle, my girlfriend ordered a single onion burger with cheese, ketchup, lettuce and tomato, and we shared some french fries and a chocolate milkshake. The total came to about $ 20. Tucker’s will give 10% off for a Keep It Local cardholder. My burger was decent. The flavors and texture was how one would expect. The beef patty was thicker than what I expected it to be, which was nice. I certainly would not have needed a double burger. My girlfriend’s burger was not nearly as good. The onions were burnt, which left an off-putting charred flavor. Additionally, the produce was soggy, which gave her burger a bad texture overall. The fries were average. A bit overcooked, and lightly salted. They were not special, but also not terrible. The milkshake, which is made with Blue Bell ice cream tasted great. Quantity wise, I think you would get more at Braum’s for the same price. Overall, I find Tucker’s to be average. In my opinion, The Garage provides a better overall product.

For out-of-towners, Tucker’s is a modern little burger place with a small delicious menu. It’s pretty much burgers, fries, milkshakes and the one salad for THOSE people. You know the ones. Lunchtime is nuts, but the line moves quickly and the awesome staff keep things rolling as smooth as possible. You order at the register by customizing your burger, pay and then wait to hear your name called. There are long tables, tabletops for 4 and a long bar along the wall, but peak times will find you seatless. We prefer to eat-in when the weather is nice and we can enjoy the few outdoor seats. Otherwise, we just take it to go. The buns are huge and buttery, the meat + ingredients delicious, and the fries are similar to Five Guys in look and taste(though much better). Tucker’s is a Good Egg Dining group concept who also own Cheever’s(across the street) and The Drake(down the street), so they know what they are doing. It is my favorite burger in town!

After living in Texas for quite sometime I had been disappointed with the burger joints here in OKC/Norman metro area… that was until I ate here at Tucker’s!!!The burger was fire!!! Tender, juicy, flavored right and loaded with grilled onions, jalapenos and cheese just the way I ordered it. Their beef is never frozen Oklahoma angus and will have you wantin to slap yo momma!

I’m hungry for a tuckers onion burger on New Year’s Day I call the phone number I check the website I even look on their Twitter where they are bragging about winning some lip sync contest but no information on whether they’re open. The only message on their voicemail says open every day from blah blah blah blah blah. Drive over there and of course they are closed. I guess I’m heading to the Garage. They are open.

The best Oklahoma Fried Onion burger. The buns are incredible and different than your normal ol burger bun. Made to perfection, I could eat here daily with no regrets. French fries are perfect. Make this part of your regular eating out location!

I absolutely love onion burgers. I had really high hopes for this place and they were certainly met. I ordered one double onion with everything except ketchup and mayo. I didn’t realize how big it would be. My husband and I ended up splitting one double and taking one home. The flavor was amazing and the fact that the burgers had jalapeños was a plus too. I will definitely be back. Maybe next time my husband and I will try to tackle the mother tucker.

I’m obsessed. They have the best onion burgers I have ever had. Watch it for their jalepeños. I love spicy food, but they are too hot for me. Pro tip: keep their cups and bring them for discounted refills. They are dishwasher safe. Bring your keep it local card for 10% off. They just started doing loyalty cards too!

This place is PUNCHYOUINTHEFACE good! So if you don’t think you can handle fist to your face then this place is NOT for you. This place is for tough men like firefighters and SEAL team 6 snipers and kick ass women who boss around men of a lesser caliber, and kick ass. You come here to get charbroiled happiness in a bun and maybe a chocolate shake to go, or to stay! Your choice! This is the kind of burger our country was founded on, meaty. The kind of meat that gets seasoned with liberal-vegetarian-pansy tears and then DEVOURED by carnivorous barrel chested freedom fighters! This place is so good, I ate the napkins, and the cup, WHAT!!! Enjoy! ‘Merica

Average. The food was good, but the taste was a bit off. I am not sure if the grill just needed to be cleaned or if the grilled onions were burnt. OKC has some good options for local eats, this one just seemed to be average. Food=3 Cleanliness =4 Friendliness =5

This place has a nice little atmosphere; reminds me of a local Five Guys. I got the turkey burger and it was so juicy and flavorful, my mouth is watering now just thinking about it. They top the burgers with plenty of finely shredded, caramelized onions that will string out with each bite you take like melted cheese. The onions absolutely make the burgers; they add amazing and varied flavor. You can also top your burger with lettuce, tomato, pickle or jalapeño, which I did, minus the jalapeño. The fries are shoestring and crispy, lightly salted and pretty satisfying. I would come here again to try the regular beef burger and maybe order extra onions as well.

better than shake shack, not as good as in-n-out ~$ 5 for a burger is a little steep

Disclaimer: I am basing this review solely on the milk shake I ordered. I have this 3 stars because I figured their burgers are pretty good and I’m willing to give it a try in the future. However, id give their milkshakes a 1 star rating because it is first, overpriced at $ 4+, and nothing even close to the quality of Braums… Or even other fast food joints! Disappointed in the blue bell/milky mixture of melted down ice cream in a cup!

On my drive from Austin to Chicago, I stopped in for some grease. I had a double onion burger with cheese and topped it with everything except ketchup and mayo. The roll in particular was great. It tasted really fresh and held up well with so many ingredients inside of it. The tough part of an onion burger is the onions can overwhelm the beef, but they still had a great flavor. Excellent fries, fresh and crispy and a ton of drink options. I don’t know when I’ll be back in OKC, but I would definitely come back.

The onion burger was invented in Oklahoma as a way to stretch the beef supply. Over time it became an art form. Tucker’s has nearly perfected it with local beef, fresh ingredients and attention to detail. I’ve eaten here many, many times and I’ve never had an incorrect order. The burgers are fabulous and the patties are thin and the onion burgers have fantastic flavor. Jalapeños are a regular topping, so no upcharge. The other ingredients(pickles, lettuce, tomato) are tasty and quality. Tucker’s has recently added bacon as a burger option and to that I say, yes please. What I enjoy about Tucker’s is that quality is not exclusive to the burgers. The fries are some of the best in OKC. Their shakes are fabulous. Their menu is not extensive, which is a plus. Do what you do well and do it better than anyone else. If you’ve not eaten at Tucker’s, do it. Great burgers, fresh fries, great shakes and cold beer.

Admittedly this was my first onion burger but as a burger fanatic it ranked very high on my list. I’m a huge fan of greasy spoon type burgers and this one is delicious. The quantity, thinness, and sweetness of the onions is a great touch. I got mine with pickles, jalapeños and mustard. The fries are fresh and great too. They use all fresh and high quality ingredients and the price is very attractive. If you are in OKC and want to try a great hamburger with an Oklahoma twist come here.

One of the best burgers on the metro. Definitely one of my top 2 places in the area to grab a burger. My favorite is the Mother Tucker(shut your mouth). Just a note this is an onion burger. Also love the fries here. I feel like I have reviews this before. Must be the Classen curve location. Either way great place to grab a burger.

My son and I stopped by on our way home. It was the first visit for both of us. What a tremendous Oklahoma establishment! I had the double onion burger with cheese and we shared fries. The fries are cooked in peanut oil; delicious. The double burger was way too much.(That’s what I get for ordering hungry!). Bottom-line: it was great food. We will defiantly go back!

Wow! That was a great hamburger! Stopped in last night before closing due to the Unilocal reviews. Boy, were they spot on! Ordered the single onion burger w/o jalapeños and the regular fries with a soft drink. About 10 minutes later the food came out. The burger was awesome. I love those smashed cooked onions on the patty. So flavorful. The cold lettuce and tomato contrasted with the hot meat patty. This is one of my favorite burgers. I live in Houston and wish they would open stores down there. I also like the fries. The order of fries was enough for two people to share. The asst. mgr. came out to check on me and told me a little about the company. They definitely have a winning formula and I predict much success. When I return to OKC I will come back to eat here!!!
