I had their daily special. It was a burger with a hot link, egg, and apricot jam. It was very good. The parking in that area is difficult at best. Service was good. I recommend you try this place out. I believe you will enjoy it.

Had to give this place a shot after seeing it on so many best of burger lists for Oklahoma. The burgers themselves are mostly your good olé fashioned style which is fine for me. I like it but there are a lot of other options just as good if not better around. However, the side items and the service here really shine. I would suggest giving this place a shot.

When you visit a family oriented restaurant and there is not a changing station in either the men’s or women’s restrooms it is unacceptable. Who wants to change their child’s diaper on the nasty unclean floor. This place has slipped over the last few years. We won’t be back. Very disappointed. I can’t believe in the 21 century in a major metropolitan area that a restaurant doesn’t have a changing station. If you can’t provide a safe, clean and sanitary place for your patrons I can’t imagine what goes on behind the kitchen doors. I am surprised this isn’t a code or health violation. It should be.

Burger was ok but nothing great. They charge extra for condiments. Ridiculous. Waitress was knowledgeable but acted goofy. Probably won’t return.

A delicious stop for a quick bite! My first time here was on St. Patrick’s Day and the service was awesome despite them being in a busy and popular spot like midtown! I like their crisp fried okra and chili cheese french fries. The burgers are decent. Irma’s is a great burger shack to bring your family and the kids. The menu has a variety of items for everyone.

Great local, casual spot. If having a burger, go for the ‘No Name Beef’, it is definitely worth the up charge. Burger of the Month is always worth a try too.

In search of patio dining we’ve found this gem. Awesome patio HOWEVER, my dining experience was ruined when the gentleman right next to our table lit up. I asked the waitress if smoking in a restaurant was even legal, according to Irma’s it is. Super disappointing that my kids and I had to finish and leave quickly to avoid the stink. What a waste of a patio. The food was average not good enough to sit in smoke.(I’m an ex-smoker I get it but YUCK)

Very tasty burger! I had the California burger with the avocado, bacon, and Swiss. It wasn’t so big that I was over-stuffed. It was perfectly sized, and the beef flavor was wonderful and fresh! Also had the tried pickles which were great, and the fries, and had a cold Boulevard wheat. You can’t go wrong with this local burger joint!

Considering the overwhelming number of happy reviews, I’m convinced that we must have come on an off day. How else would one explain the aloof, even disinterested, service that we received even when the dining room was more than half empty? Perhaps the handful of waiters were feeling stretched thin by a larger than usual lunch crowd? Maybe that is why we should also forgive them for our black bean burgers that were mostly lukewarm and still cold in the middle(seriously — the center was just thawing when it was placed on the buns), because grill space is at a premium when there are too many people waiting for their meals. Kudos to them for having a non-meat option for vegetarians but forgive me for believing that it should, at the very least, be properly heated. I sprung for avocado on my burger for an extra dollar, and it was a good thing because it helped add a much-needed layer of freshness to an otherwise mediocre burger… but I couldn’t help thinking that surely the four quarters that would get me a whole avocado at the grocery store would get me more than than the three thin slices I ended up getting here. The fries that were so highly hailed here on Unilocal were as disappointment to us as well — tasty and well seasoned but already well on their way to the flaccidity and cold pasty taste that marks fries that have been out of the fryer for some time. No matter how many ways we tried to explain away the discrepancy of our meal with so many others, it’s never a good look for a restaurant when one must play devil’s advocate on their behalf on multiple points of experience. Suffice it to say we were not impressed and were sad that we never got to understand the hype.

Burgers are decent, but small and way overpriced. Did not even fill me up. The $.99 burgers at 7 – 11 are better tasting and more filling. Not to mention far less $$$. Fries are awesome though, pricy but friggin awesome. My only compliment. Still not really worth the $ 10 w/undeserved tip. It is unfortunate that the sub-par food could not come with partially decent customer service. I was unfortunate enough to be blessed with an arrogant and condescending hipster kid belittling me as though I was beneath him or something. Pretty strange actually. Because of him, I will never return. I mean NEVER, EVER return. Keep up the awesome work. The brand will be damaged in no time kid.

The wife and I met with my parents at Irma’s in Midtown last night. I liked the old, historic building(Always a sucker for that) and my burger was good, not exceptional, and my wife enjoyed the slaw dog. I’m not a big fan of the fries, they were okay… BUT… my mother thought she had a hair in her burger, but when she pulled out the offending item, she lost it… so she wasn’t sure. A few minutes later, she pulled out another one. I know bad things can happen at the best eateries, but something like that really puts you off, and this is probably the case based upon most of the reviews here.. Doubt we will be back.

This place is legit on burgers! They have a wide variety of burger choices. My family of four ate here and we all had different burgers. They were all very tasty indeed! The waitstaff were very attentive and friendly. They all had smiling faces, so I would assume they enjoy the place as well. I recommend you give this place a try if you are hunger for a juicy burger. They definitely made this fat boy happy.

I met some friends for lunch at Irma’s around 12:30 on a Saturday. It was not busy at all, we sat right down. But, there remained a steady stream of people throughout our lunch and post-lunch conversation. They clearly do a good business at this location, but they had plenty of employees to take care of everyone. Service was good throughout our lunch, we did not wait long for drinks or when we asked for the check. Irma’s is large, with both counter seating and tables. The restaurant was very clean, including the restroom. We were approached immediately by a friendly server. Irma’s serves beer, but not on tap. They had approximately 10 selections the day I ate there. They had some local favorites(F5 and Anthem’s Arjuna) and some national big names(Blue Moon). There was something for everyone, including seasonals. For not having beer on tap, they had a decent selection overall. The burger of the month was the«Okie,» a NoName Ranch patty served with cheddar cheese, bacon, an onion ring, fried pickles, and hickory sauce. It came with your choice of side for $ 10. I went with the special, and had onion rings as my side. The burger was out to the table in around 10 minutes. I’d say this is fine for a Saturday lunch service. The burger was clearly just made, it was hot and fresh. The patty was cooked beyond the medium I ordered, which was a little annoying. But, it retained a lot of juiciness and flavor. The bun is standard, but it held up to the ingredients well and was soft. The hickory sauce needed more spice, it was severely lacking in that department. But, it was warm, which I prefer. The onion ring and pickles were crispy, they had clearly just been fried. The bacon was thick and had a nice crispness to it. I would absolutely order this burger again. The onion rings were fantastic; maybe the star of the meal. They are not completely coated, but the breading is very crunchy and flavorful. There’s not heat to them, but there is a kick of flavor that was noticeable. I would have eaten another order if they brought them. The table shared a side of okra, which was good, but typical fried okra. Nothing compared to the onion rings. I’ll absolutely return to Irma’s and try some customization on my burger next time, but I don’t regret going with the special. It was a solid burger, and Irma’s is deserving of its reputation.

Had the Okie burger… It was GREAT! Made with local beef, it exceeded my expectations. The fries weren’t such a home run tho, kinda limp and didn’t taste that good. The service was great and prompt with refills.

Tried the chicken fried steak dinner on a Saturday evening, bad decision. It was over breaded, over fried, and over done. Stick with the burgers, my dining companions loved them. The mealy French fries were a disappointment, and the side of Asian Cole slaw was tasteless. Cannot recommend this joint as a Saturday evening visit.

After checking out of our hotel, we were looking for some lunch. There were several options within walking distance from our hotel, so we decided to give Irma’s Burger Shack a try. We walked in and were seated immediately. Our server was friendly and made suggestions and told us about the daily specials. I ordered a Sweet Tea at first, but asked for something else due to it being pure liquid-sugar. For my meal, I ordered a Mushroom Swiss Bacon Burger with Onion Rings. Our food came out pretty quickly and the burgers were cooked to order. The Burger had a good helping of sauteed mushrooms and a thick slice of swiss cheese. While it was very good, the best thing I had were the Onion Rings. You could tell they were handmade and not frozen. All in all, the food was very good and it was also a great price. It was not the best Burger I have ever had, but the Onion Rings were definately high on the list.

I’ve said it before: I am not a burger gal, but I do love burger places and Irma’s is high on that list. I love that I can get anything as a turkey or black bean burger and they have one of my favorite black bean burgers in town. The fries are just as greasy as you want them to be(just barely) and the beer selection is good. My book club has started meeting there because it is central and reasonably priced, and they are always patient with us sitting there a little longer than the average table. So here’s my complaint, and this isn’t at all isolated to Irma’s but I’ve run into this three times here: There is no changing table in the bathroom, meaning I have had to change my son’s diaper on the disgusting tile floor every time. I always bring a disposable changing pad since this is a common occurrence, but it just disgusts me. If you have a kid’s meal and a little kiddie drink cup, you should have a changing table. Next time, I may just change him in a booth and see how much you like that! OK, I wouldn’t do that, but I have considered it. But let’s end on a high note: Service has always been good(not over the top, but the kind of helpful but distant enough to not hover kind of service) and the food always comes out fast. Overall, I like having Irma’s on my non-burger eating burger rotation!

Happened to stop by today at lunch along with a group of my co-workers. We had started out for another restaurant that was undoubtedly packed during the lunch hours, so we decided to head over to Irma’s. This location has an adequate amount of seating and the service was above par. They were really quick and quite friendly. I had the Irma Burger and an order of fries. The size of the burger was just right, not too big, especially for lunch. One doesn’t want to go back to work overstuffed!!! The fries were okay, a bit room temperature, but still good to eat. One of my co-workers had a turkey burger and they mentioned that it was good as did everyone else. The only thing and it has nothing to do with the restaurant directly, but the parking was a bit scarce and the area was a bit congested but that’s to be expected during that time of the day. I would visit again.
