Buttermilk Crispy Chicken was not worth $ 5. It taste good, but only good and not much better then their $ 1 chicken sandwich. It was very small and not juicy… not Chic-filaish.

well, since my encounters of the screw the customer, damn the torpedoes, full steam ahead kind… always here at this nw 23rd and broadway location, I have put my Research Cap on… and got Debbie The VW in gear. checking out other McDonald’s, around okc and ALSO on the road to Dallas, around Dallas… and back up here… this is my method: I pull up to the speaker and ask the fresh, kindly voice «May I have a medium sweet tea, with some ice, please?» I pull around to get it because in this heat Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate! is my mantra. They take my money, hand over the tea and I ALWAYS say «May I ask you a question?» of course «do you charge 19 cents for extra pickle on a hamburger?» «do whut?» «do you charge 19 cents for extra pickle?» «Lord, no. who does that?» «The NW23rd and Broadway independent franchisee in OKC does. and fights you for it, telling you McDonald’s has ALWAYS charged that for extra pickle, you just weren’t bright enough to notice!» «Well, honey, that’s just a lie! We’ve never charged for extra pickle!» so goes it all across America, as I ask friends who live in Compton. San Francisco.Des Moines.Chicago.Paris.Honolulu.no.nope.no. only our own little charm shoppe at NW23rd and Broadway does, here in OKC… So, there’s my final update on this toilet… call me stupid, lie, and treat me like an old stripper well that produces 5 barrels a month… no.nope.no.

Everyone in America knows what McDonald’s is, so I’m speaking specifically about this location. Fast and friendly service. Consistently good food.

UGH this is easily the worst McDonald’s in OKCIMO. Although I’m not proud to out myself as a person who was at a McDonald’s, I’ve been here a few times when I was dying of hunger or in need of a soda. There is always a HUGE line, it is INSANELY slow, and the service is not very friendly. You will always be competing with a lot of traffic because of the Capitol and just the general location next to the highway and on 23rd. If you have to have bad fast food, do yourself a favor and go across the street to Taco Bell or something. Do not get stuck in the line here(for 30 minutes!)

George Orwell reviews McDonalds: «It was a bright cold day in April, and the clocks were striking thirteen. Winston Smith, his chin nuzzled into his breast in an effort to escape the vile wind, slipped quickly through the glass doors of McDonalds, though not quickly enough to prevent a swirl of gritty dust from entering along with him. The foyer smelt of milkshakes and stale fryer grease. At one end of it a coloured poster, too large for indoor display, had been tacked to the wall. It depicted simply an enormous face, more than a metre wide: the face of a clown of indeterminate age with a blazingly red wig and pallid, ghostlike features. Winston made for the counter. It was no use trying the drive thru. Even at the best of times it was seldom worth the annoyance, and at present the lanes were jammed during the lunch rush. It was a result of the publicity drive in preparation for McRib Week. The line was seven deep and Winston, who was thirty-nine and had a varicose ulcer above his right ankle, went slowly, resting several times on the way. With each step, opposite the register, the poster with the enormous face gazed from the wall. It was one of those pictures which are so contrived that the eyes follow you about when you move. OVER300BILLIONSERVED, the caption beneath it ran. From the drive thru a fruity voice was reading out a list of items which had something to do with the McRib Combo. The voice came from an oblong metal plaque like a dulled mirror which formed part of the surface of the right-hand wall. Winston turned away and the voice sank somewhat, though the words were still distinguishable. The instrument, could be dimmed, but there was no way of shutting it off completely. He moved over to the window: a smallish, frail figure, the meagreness of his body merely emphasized by the blue overalls which were the uniform of the party. His hair was very fair, his face naturally sanguine, his skin roughened by coarse soap and blunt razor blades and the cold of the winter that had just ended. Outside, even through the shut window-pane, the world looked cold. Down in the street little eddies of wind were whirling dust and torn paper into spirals, and though the sun was shining and the sky a harsh blue, there seemed to be no colour in anything, except the posters that were plastered everywhere. The Crimson wigged face gazed down from every commanding corner. There was one on the house-front immediately opposite. OVER300BILLIONSERVED, the caption said, while the demonic eyes looked deep into Winston’s own. Down at streetlevel another poster, torn at one corner, flapped fitfully in the wind, alternately covering and uncovering the single word MCDONALDS.»

Its McDonald’s, nothing special. Just quick burgers and fries. If you don’t have time there’s always fast food like this. If you do have time, go somewhere else.

On the dollar menu @ McDonalds is a hidden burger! For only $ 1 I promise after eating a couple of these ingenious burger creation for fastfood, you won’t see paying $ 10 for any other burger joint. Nothing against burger joints but McDonald’s has a more affordable grilled onioncheddar burger. Is it really worth paying $ 8 to $ 10 for a grilled onion burger and no fries or drink included??

(With chain fast food, I’m looking at execution of the corporate concept, not the food. We all know about the food.) This McDonald’s seems pretty well managed. We parked here on Marathon morning while we studied the race map to find somewhere to cheer our friend. Upon further reflection, we realized we were actually on the race path already and we’d have runners coming past our car in … oh, there’s the first group now! The staff was friendly, we got our coffee and a breakfast snack(I’m so ashamed), it was very clean, and they were fine with the occasional runner breaking off the course to fix an issue. So as far as McDonald’s’s(what’s the plural of a possessive adjective when a company adopts said adjective as its proper noun name?) go, this is as solid as you can expect.

Really quick and easy to get to. Also, its very clean, especially for the area. I don’t care that much for McDonalds, but this one is not half bad.
