What a great place off the beaten path!
I bought a Groupon several months ago. it was expiring soon. I am so glad we came… we will be back. the food is awesome .the wait staff. .super, and the make a great dirty martini!

We don’t drink, so we ignore the bar.
We’re not huge fans of fried chicken, either.
WE GO FOR THE BRUSSELS SPROUTS SALAD.
Oh, yeah, baby.
This has to be the best damn salad in all of Oklahoma.

LOVED-​Waited years to try chicken/​waffles not really understanding the concept. Loved it. Good beer and food.

Please leave the neighborhood. First off, way to not join in on the western ave improvements. Second are there lights in this place? Just about went blind from how dark it is. Third, this is the south: how is your fried chicken so bland? Try tossing in some garlic, salt pepper and hangs the cook oil for cryin out loud! You could taste how old it was. Sorry but skip this place if you’re on western.

The chicken was good but not as good as eischens. However the green beans were the best I have ever eaten. Through service was very good and friendly.

Honestly don’t know why this place has below 5 stars. The main purpose of this restaurant is for some chicken and waffles, which I love. So I ordered with my wife the waffles and whole chicken meal. Before that, ordered the chicken nachos, which were very tasty and hit the spot. Wife had an upside– down pineapple cocktail, which literally tasted exactly like the cake and I had a beer and shot combo for $ 5. Once the meal came out, the chicken was hot, crisp and fresh without the heavy batter on some others fried chicken recipes. The flavor was great and add the syrup and some hot sauce, I couldn’t be more satisfied. The whole chicken and waffle meal was definitely enough to leave us both full, plus you save about $ 6 instead of ordering two half chicken and waffle meals. I’ll definitely recommend to anyone who loves this southern comfort meal.

Ended up here on a business trip during Memorial Day and was a caught off guard.
Atmosphere: Sports/​dive bar with, you guessed it, a drum theme. There looked like there might be live music
Service: Really bad. There was next to no customers yet the waiter did not bring us our drinks until our meal came, including water. 15 minutes after we ordered he told us he forgot to put our order in and asked us what we had ordered a second time. I will say that he did gives us a small discount for forgetting.
Food: Decent. I had chicken and waffles and they were not excellent but they were good. The waffles are made with a sweet batter and come with 4 medium to large size pieces of fried chicken thigh, wing, and breast.

Had the ½ chicken & waffles, it was very good !!!
The drinks were so so.
The décor was «meh»
I will return, I want to try the chicken nachos next

Food was so good! The food came out hot and fresh! The drink I had was so great and the staff was friendly. Great environment!

After a long day at the zoo with my lady, we stopped here to replenish our bodies. There was construction on the main road so we had to go around to get here but it was worth it. We got 8pc’s of chicken and a waffle. This fried chicken is so good, I could’ve eaten more. I also decided to get some potatoes and gravy, they were delicious as well. Our waiter was very friendly and met our expectations. The building is a little small but I’ll eat here again when I’m in the area.

I avoid eating fried chicken as much as I can but sometimes I make exceptions for the Drum Room. I love everything about this place, and I have never been disappointed. I usually stick to their chicken and waffles because it is always delicious. I appreciate that there’s not too much batter on the chicken but it’s still perfectly crisp. The service has always been very friendly and accommodating, and it’s a very hip place in general. I like the ambiance and the look of the place very much, but it’s the food that keeps me coming back!

The drum room is definitely giving Eischen’s a run for its money and you don’t even have to drive all the way to Okarche!
My husband and I shared the fried okra which was hot, crunchy and delightful! It was served with chipotle aioli (which threw me off because it was a green color and chipotles are red) and ranch. We also shared a whole bird fried chicken which came with a waffle. The chicken was some of the best I have had but the waffle was just another waffle and nothing to rave about. The whole bird was $ 18 which was cheap in my book as we couldn’t finish half and took most home! We also tried the side of mashed potatoes which were good but the star was the crisp green beans with caramelized onions.
The drum room has great beer selections and drinks specials, we will definitely be back! The reason is gets 4 stars instead of 5 is bcause the inside is a little dingy and run down, it could use some more lighting for sure. My husband thought it was perfect as it’s not supposed to be fancy, it’s a dive bar all about the fried chicken and cold beers.

My Bartender was a very cool guy, laid back & gave great recommendations & good service. He suggested the green beans as a side & they did not disappoint. I was in town for my Mother’s surgery & needed to get away from the Hospital & grab myself a bite to eat & a strong Cocktail & this place was perfect. LOL The chicken had good flavor and tasted fresh.

— in my opinion, I believe this is the second best fried chicken in OKC next to eischens but the convenience of not driving to Okarche m back, having dark meat only option, half price happy hour… Drumroom much better option eischens
— sides= ³⁄₅ fries and okra really suck, as in they are bar food level I would not get them, also their waffle unless you’re going to drown them in honey

The Good: I’ve never had fried chicken that literally exploded with juices when I took a bite! Fried chicken was truly on point. The green beans and fried okra were good too, but you MUST order the aoli sauce lot ranch with the okra. Liked the ambiance and décor, nice little pub spot with good drinks (well Margarita was really good)!
The Not so Good: a little overpriced for the food. Wife ordered the chicken wrap and it wasn’t anything special, just a normal chicken wrap and it was $ 11. It was supposed to have ranch but didn’t and the toppings were all on one side.
The fried chicken nachos were good, but could’ve used more chicken and a little less cheese. I will say, for the amount of cheese they still managed to keep the chips nice and crispy!
Overall slightly above average, Definitely go and order the fried chicken! The other choices just seemed average.

The sweet tea is where I’ll begin, because it’s not often I find a place that I drink the sweet tea and think it’s sweet enough. The sweet tea is perfect here. I could’ve dipped my chicken in it it was so good.
But obviously the star of the show was the chicken. After a small internal conflict between ordering the drumsticks or ordering a chicken and waffle sandwich, I went with the drumsticks (with a side waffle of course.)
The breading on these bad boys was incredible. The entire restaurant smells of fried chicken, it was intoxicating in the best way possible. I was a little hungry when I walked in the door, but the aroma of fried chicken increased it tenfold. When I tasted the chicken, and the delicious breading, it was incredible.
To top this all off, the meal came with a side, and I chose okra. The bowl of okra that came as a side could’ve doubled as a meal– it was giant.
Let me go add a bookmark to this place because I’ll be back verrrrry soon.

Decided to venture here for a quick bite to eat. Nice service from the bartender, and I like the décor of the place.
I was underwhelmed with the food though. There was nothing special about anything I ate (which was their chicken & waffles sandwich). The batter for the waffles was average, the chicken was average, and the bacon and cheese were kind of lost. The side of sauce helped give it some flavor, but I’m a believer that a good meal doesn’t require extra seasoning just to be memorable. Sadly, for the price (12 for the sandwich plus a small side) I was unimpressed, and have no need to return. I was happy to experiment, but I can’t say this place is anything special at all beyond a unique menu, and OKC is overflowing with way too many places like that as it is.

We were excited to try a good ol fried chicken place, but honestly, the food wasn’t bad nor great.
In summary: the fried chicken tastes like normal fried chicken really.
Nothing special to it. No unique flavors, no unique sauces nor unique sides. I hate to say it, but it tastes very similar to KFC or a Popeyes. We won’t be back here as there’s nothing special about it. Thus, 3 stars will suffice.

Not sure I was blown away by the chicken at this place as some others are… I mean have you been to Okarche? Note that the chicken here isn’t bad. Actually it quite good. Just not the greatest thing since sliced bread. If you want good chicken without the drive for great chicken try this place. Don’t get me wrong this is a good place to eat.
The fried Okra was like a time machine for me. Taking me back to my grandmothers kitchen. I don’t think I have had fresh okra this good in 30 years.
Also consumed on this visit was the chicken nachos. I felt these were way over rated and a little over priced. Not sure appetizer is worth the 10 bucks for limited nachos and limited chicken.
Last but not least the chicken waffle sandwich. This was all sorts of yum. I would come back for this and the okra any day.
Last but not least the service was a bit shaky my visit. I sat at the bar and my glass was empty once for well over 5 minutes until i asked for a refill. As well the okra didn’t come out with the meal. After finishing most of the meaI asked again about the okra, which had been forgotton about by the waitress. Almost missed out on getting to taste that awesome okra.
I will back i am sure, as this place seem like a good place to catch a ball game, have a drink and get some good eats.

Ate here, 17 Jan for dinner. We sat at the bar, the bar tender who was also taking orders seemed overwhelmed at first, but settled down.

I saved the best for last, the fried chicken came out piping hot, along with the okra.
The chicken was so seasoned, and juicy! This has to be the best fried chicken I have ever had… I had leftovers 18 Jan, and it was still good. the key is to warm it up in the oven on 400, until hot. Still flavorful, this my friends is my new favorite spot.
