My favorite place for snow cones! My favorite flavors are Thunder and Cake Boss. They have several locations around the city including Edmond, Expressway, and May Avenue that I know of. They have punch cards that you can use when you purchase a snow cone. For every 10 snow cones, you get a free smoothie or small snow cone. The location in Edmond opens year round and service is great! Everyone who works at Shimmers is always smiling and friendly.

We used to frequent Shimmers quite a bit but got addicted to Island Ice at NW 50^th & Meridian (now closed!). So we thought we’d give it a try again and…
Not quite as good as they used to be. The flavors seem a little diluted and the ice isn’t the same. Also, they’ve gone to using a Swedish Fish-like gummy bear… it’s just not the same.
Of course, the drive thru line is a wait, but they almost always are at any sno cone stand. Maybe we just came on an off day. Will try again later and update…

Sometimes it can be a long wait but that’s because they make the best snocones. The ice is perfect and they have a large variety of flavors. One of the only stands that takes cards.
