I’m sorry, but I do t know why everyone raves about Teds and you never here much about the amazing Pablano Grill! This place has better food, bigger venue and the best MARGARITAS! I have yet to have a bad experience here. It’s always fast service, fresh food, and great atmosphere. I love a restaurant that has enough spacing that doesn’t make you feel crowded and can barely get out of your seat without fear or hitting someone with your purse! So I’m doing my civic duty and giving Pablano grill 5 stars, totally worth everyone of them!!!

Flavorless watery salsa. Steak tacos which tasted just like the ones from Taco Bell(which are not good) Flavorless margaritas(a store bought mix would be 100 times better). Typical basket of «corporate» tasting tortilla chips. I am from Chicago so perhaps I am biased when it comes to Mexican food but this was just bad food no matter what you want to call it.

I tried the one on Douglas a few years ago and did not have a good visit. We usually give a place three tries total befor counting it out. We tried the on on May this last weekend, and all I can say is they will not be getting a third visit. Food was flavorless, wait staff I would mark as so-so not the best but not the worst. My son who is 17 always hungry willing to eat just about anything that doesn’t eat him first did not even eat half of his burrito(«it sucks and what little flavor there is tastes bad») Daughter had the tamales(«to much masa, no meat, no flavor) Wife ordered the«fresh guacamole» came to the table partly frozen. When ever they could they tried to use heat to cover the lack of flavor.

Poblano is one of my favorite Tex-Mex restaurants in the area. There used to be one right by my parents’ house, and we ate their on the regular. This location is not nearly as convenient, but we were over this way one night so we stopped in. Free queso and salsa to start out, and we had $ 5 margaritas, which I think is a special all the time. $ 3 for a small and $ 5 for a large. Definitely worth it! I had the fajita enchiladas, which were yummy. I would suggest foregoing the standard rice and beans for the corn and/or mashed potatoes(yay starch) because Poblano’s are delicious. We finished up with complimentary sopapillas, which were delicious and how could they not be? Decent Tex-Mex, definitely worth it if you’re craving some Mexican and in the area.

Had a great dinner here with my wife on a date night. Everything was fresh and tasty. I’m not a huge fan of Texmex, but Poblano gives me plenty of choices of meats, cheese, beans all with or without too much spice. The open spacious dining room is very nicely decorated and comfortable. It’s a great place for families, too. Everyone from the hostesses to the wait staff to the people bringing chips was friendly and smiling. This was our second visit after a nice lunch a month or so ago and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

This is my favorite place to get chicken fajitas. The queso, salsa, and sopopillas(sp?) come with the meal which is a bonus. The staff is always friendly. Food arrives quickly. Restaurant is clean and décor is attractive. I’ve been going to Pablano Grill for years.

The food is always good. We tend to get the same things Taco lunch with corn and potatoes, chicken enchiladas with rice and beans, and fajitas. Love the tortillas and the chips. The prices are good. Sometimes it just seems like the wait staff may be stretched a little thin. I do not feel ignored only that the server is so busy they are unable to properly take care of the table. This happens often. Always nice. Always good. Maybe an extra server or 2.

Seeing as the original Danforth location holds a special place in my heart(It’s where I fueled up before asking my wife to marry me all those years ago.), I was eager to give the Memorial spot a try. After being seated quickly, we poured over the menu before getting the chips and salsa and ordering the beef fajitas for two.(How romantic!) As usual at a Mexican style restaurants, I ate way too much of the chips, salsa, and queso, but when they are this good, who can blame you?! After an appropriate amount of appetizer gluttony and conversation, the fajitas arrived with all the sour cream, guac, veggies, shredded cheese, and tortillas needed. The meat was perfect, and I wasted no time making my culinary Picassos on each tortilla that landed on my plate. It’s nice to know that this place from our past may have moved locations but still has delicious food!

Better than Ted’s! You must try their sopapilla(sp?) because instead of honey they use a warm sugary icings and it is to die for!

I wouldn’t even give this place one star but this app requires that you leave at least one. Terrible food. Terrible service. Poor management! Very small portions of food and way overpriced. Save your money. Everyone I know says the same thing too. It will be out of business soon.

I went in for lunch with a friend on a friday. It took awhile for someone to come seat me. I said there was going to be 5 of us and I was taken to a small booth… Kinda confused, I asked to be seated at a larger area(who wants to squeeze 3 people into one side?) When we were all there we ordered our food and it came very fast! I was shocked and happy cause I was starvin’ like Marvin’ gurrrl. Food was good, we had nachos and fajita tacos. It wasn’t out of this world but it was still good.

Everytime I come to OKC, I end up here for at least lunch. Love the setup they bring out, chips and salsa, tortillas, and some queso dip. This place was pretty packed. I had the chimichanga for my lunch, it was full of yummy. I also like to take the queso they bring out and smother the chimi. Pretty decent sized meals and a great price. And yes, I did spill Queso on my boss while we were there, it was too close to the edge and I bumped it… no wonder why I didn’t get the promotion. :D

Absolutely the worst restaurant ever, can get drinks right. Food is bland no flavor and waiter just wanted to help tables with women in them. Never coming back

I had no expectations, so maybe that left me pleasantly surprised… I found Poblano Grill to have some solid Tex-Mex fare. Also, I feel fat. I think the location may be hurting this business some. I say this not because I have hard evidence; it’s all anecdotal. There have been a few times when I was driving North on May, caught the Poblano’s sign(and the entrance) just a little too late, shrugged my shoulders and looked for some place else to eat. Sure I could have turned into one of the parking lots, turned around and headed back South on May, but ain’t nobody got time for that. The restaurant seemed really empty for lunch time, which made me wonder how many others were like me who couldn’t be bothered to go through the hassle of turning around. Anyway… Pros: + The chimichanga(from the lunch menu) was one of the more enjoyable chimichangas I’ve had to date from a Tex-Mex restaurant. Nothing mind-blowing, but the flavors were on point. + The complimentary tortillas are delightful. Delightful I tell you. Very soft, but also a bit of the occasional crunch from where the tortilla had been toasted. I don’t know if that makes sense. But it was quite good. I had to stop myself from binging on just the tortillas. + Both the salsa and queso were enjoyable. I’m a huge fan of requesting the spiciest salsa available(Poblano’s spiciest is pretty enjoyable) and then mixing equal parts queso into it. Do it. Do it! + Portions are reasonable. I was entirely full at the end of lunch, but not to the point of bursting like I have been at other Tex-Mex joints(see Ted’s). + Free sopapilla. Because why not? You’ve already failed for the day by consuming so many carbs at a Tex-Mex restaurant. + Excellent, speedy, customer service. He had us in and out(a party of four) in 30 minutes or so. Neutrals: = The sides are forgettable, much like every other Tex-Mex place, but I don’t necessarily count that against them. = I could take it or leave it with the complimentary chips. Cons: — The price maybe? I don’t remember if it was high or not compared to similar joints. I can’t think of anything too bad. — Oh right, the server. Great guy, really fast, friendly, etc. He was wearing gloves and I thought, «That’s nice, I guess…» But then he kept the gloves on when he handled people’s money, which… seemed to defeat the purpose of wearing gloves. Amazing? No. Terrible? Also no. Average? Maybe, but I had a good enough experience(and a really enjoyable chimichanga), so [*][*][*][*] it is.

I live nearby and go here often, both for dine-in and carry out. I’ve never had a mistake in my carry out and I really appreciate that. Food is consistent and portions are large. I’ve never had bad service at this location. We love the pork street tacos with the sauce containing mango. Overall, they have some things that are different(such as my favorite cream corned side and my husband loves the potatoes) and I think they’re whole lot better than other nearby Tex Mex places. The thing I like the least is the queso, it’s not as cheesy and thick as I’d like. However, salsa is good and the flour tortillas are yummmmmmy! I hate it when Mexican restaurants have dry and flat tortillas, and it’ll make or break me coming back. We also get beef fajitas often and they’re flavorful and delish!

Good food and consistently great service keeps me coming back again and again. The menu has something for everyone and even several healthy-ish options. Don’t worry, they also have the artery clogging dishes too! For healthy-ish but very tasty I recommend the street tacos. You can’t go wrong with the chicken or the beef variety. My favorite part is it comes with four different salsas, ranging from sweet to sinus cleanser. For a true taste-bud pleaser I recommend the Pollo Fundido. It is a fried burrito stuffed to the brim with spicy marinated chicken then topped with loads of cheese and a pepper jack cream cheese.
