I actually didn’t eat here. Had reservations for my birthday here and after walking in the front door, my family promptly turned right around and walked out. This place smelled like mold and like something had died. Very unpleasant.

Went on date with girlfriend for Valentines Day. We had a reservation and when we got there the hostess took us to the wrong table, left us standing in the middle of the restaurant clueless before finally coming back to bring us to our table. The waiter also took forever to get to our table. When he did, he immediately asked what we wanted to drink with out ever giving us a wine list. Instead of having a nice menu to choose from(I wanted the Ribeye), we had a preset menu that we HAD to choose from. Of course the only steak was about a 6 – 8 ounce Filet Mignon. When I go to an expensive steakhouse I want to be able to choose my type of steak. I know this was probably a Valentines thing but just take that into account if you want to go on a holiday(Also no prices on the menu, kinda weird). The waiting staff is not trained well whatsoever. It felt like a catering company trying to serve a real meal. The food had its highs, but it was nothing spectacular at all. I heard they overcooked steaks so I ordered medium rare instead of medium. It was a perfect tasty medium steak, so take that into account when ordering. Overall, I would not recommend this sub-par steakhouse to anyone. There are so many better options to spend $ 200 on for dinner.

Service was absolutely horrible. Food took almost an hour and a half to arrive at our table with no apology. In fact, at 45 min we were told the kitchen was behind and the waiter ignored us until the food actual came out. No refills. No question on if we would like anything else to drink. No updates. $ 171 for an absolutely awful experience. 4 couples that came after us were on dessert or checks before we got our food. When the food came, the steak was delicious, the sides were cold and the sea bass was okay. But No apology made this a place we wouldn’t come back to. Highly disappointed.

Horrible service. Took over an hour to get our food with no updates from the wait staff. Food was great when it did arrive. No apology from the staff or acknowledgement of any kind.

Nothing«Prime» about this meal except the price. A 12 oz bone-in rib eye. Not prime meat. A choice cut of meat at best. The sear had a very bitter taste. Baked potato was served barely warm. Salad was bagged mixed greens. Bread served room temp. The service was Excellent!

I had always wanted to try Opus, and we got the chance Saturday night, but that will be a one and done for us. For what we ordered it should have been flavorful and not overcooked. The risotto was not prepared well at all the rice was crunchy, and not the smooth texture of what the dish is known for. I respect that they took off the salmon I ordered as it was just so overdone. Kinda sad because we had so looked forward to a great dinner, but disappointed.

For as good as their food is, I don’t know why this place isn’t more crowded. Great steak, wonderful wine selection and great service. On the north side, skip the side show of Mahogany and give Opus a try. Filet is fantastic, great complimentary caviar, the wedge is perfect and great, professional service. Never disappoints.

Love the casual atmosphere of Opus in comparison to other high end steakhouses in the area. The food and wine will never disappoint and they always have specials they’re offering to mix it up. The wait staff is always very helpful especially with pairings and recommendations. Definitely my go-to for steak and wine

Opus is a place where the food is always great and the staff is always friendly, especially Keith. It’s perfect for date nights without breaking the bank! You have to try this if you love a good romantic place with fabulous cocktails!

Pretty solid. Not disappointed but not blown away either. I had the Ribeye while my fiancé had the Filet. The Ribeye was Juicy like a good cut should be, but a little overcooked. I think it was left in the broiler a little too long but no so long that the meat was tough. The Filet my fiancé had was much better, you hardly needed a knife to cut it. I wasn’t really enjoying the ambiance, it didn’t have much of an identity. It felt like a vintage italian wine cellar crossed with a modern english kitchen. Interesting concept but not the greatest execution. They have an awesome wine selection and pretty decent steaks. But given the other restaurants in this price range I was expecting WOW and didn’t get it. So this place is ok, but not great.

We absolutely loved our experience at Opus. Everything we ordered was outstanding. You definitely pay for what you get. So, beware if it’s not in your budget.

Food was outstanding, but we were completely snubbed by our waiter after we picked out the less expensive wine and ordered chicken in a steak house(!). The service should not depend on the price of an entrée. The tip though depends on the service.

Our server was very knowledgeable of steaks and also of the building. He told us the history of the restaurant location which was once a church, business office, and a couple of other restaurants. Ask to sit in one of the circular booths. That’s what we will do next time. Didn’t plan on drinking wine and we didn’t feel pressured at all to order wine. (Went on a Firday night and the biker bar/restaurant across the street was booming! Caused parking to be an issue because one of the enterances was blocked so bikes wouldn’t park in their lot. Also, an OKC police officer was posted in their parking lot due to the event at the biker bar/restaurant.) Go give it a try! Medium Rare is the way to go too!

Opus, Opus, Opus… Oh how I love thee. First thing is first though! I don’t understand these bad reviews on one of my most desireable steak establishments to frequest in the OKC area. I see most of them are mainly about service. Well my service is always top notch everytime I visit this palace of ribeyes. My waiter this time was MICAH(always an ace in my book) and he was extraordinary as always. My wife and I had reservations on Valentines Day this year and OH, how they DIDNOT disappoint us at all. Now, first off V-Days are tricky at certain restaurants because they all usually have a «turn and burn» mentality because everyone is usually trying to have dinner and they want to make as much money as they can. No problem with this philosphy because I am a capitalist and understand the mindset behind this but sometimes you get a restaurant full of one nighters and this can lessen your experience. Not tonight though! The service was at its best and they made you feel like this was a one in a lifetime experience. I ordered the Ribeye(as always) and my wife order the Fried Jumbo Shrimp. Both were superb along with our lobster MACANDCHEESE and asparagus spears. Once again, GREATFOOD, GREATSERVICE and an overall GREATNIGHT!

A truly enjoyable experience in a cozy booth with my wife on our date night. The ambience gave us a feeling of privacy while the food and service were exquisite. The waiter had good suggestions from the extensive wine list that were rated well and reasonably priced. Pricing on the list was anywhere from $ 29 to extremely expensive. The food was incredible and I recommend the scallops appetizer, though there were only three they were large, and the Lobster Mac was the best I’ve ever had. The small portion is plenty for two people. The ribeye was as tender as a fillet and perfectly cooked at medium-rare. The sear was wonderful and I believe they use the pan-sear and roasting method of cooking the steak. The salmon was in a rich beurre blanc sauce that was delicious. I only wish the banana’s foster had a tableside presentation, but it was very delicious too and more than enough for two people(we couldn’t finish it). I see in many of the reviews that people complain about the service, but we had no problems. The wait staff worked as a team, and never missed a pour or prompt response. Our waiter even gave us a small gift card for our next visit when he discovered it was our first time to Opus. A wonderful experience for a special occasion.

This place was excellent! Ive eaten at a fair number of steakhouses in my brief time and Opus is easily in the top 2 – 3. While there are plenty of options for Steak in OKC, few are able to match Opus in terms of service, atmosphere, food, and wine. The Wine: Very comprehensive list and befitting a steakhouse lots of big wines on the list. They are kept in several climate controlled cellars in the restaurant itself. prices were good and there were quite a few outright values to be had when wading through the large list. The Food: Not a single miss in our entire dinner. We began with the crab cakes. It was a unique experience to say the least. Very little breading or fillers and mostly very fresh crab. It was excellent and I’m not a big crab guy. The wedge salad was fresh, HUGE, and the house made blue cheese was perfect. For the main I had the bone in filet and lobster tail. I am always skeptical ordering seafood in a city without a major port but the lobster tails were cooked perfectly more importantly tasted and smelled fresh. The bone in filet(ordered rare) was cooked perfectly and had that no knife needed consistency great filet has. My only regret was the fine dinning nature of the establishment precluded my chewing away at the bone. The side dish was the creamed corn. The chef used a light touch with the cream and that made all of the difference. Far to often I get served more a soup but not here, it was perfect. For desert we split a crème brûlée. It was simple in its presentation but had a perfect crust and tasted great. The service was excellent. Not much more to say there. Overall an excellent experience from beginning to end and it will become my must stop when Im in OKC.

By far one of the best steaks I have every had. I am a pretty picky when it come to serving up such praise for a steakhouse. I came hoping it was a 40 dollar steak I was paying for and it was. I had the boneless rib-eye cooked med-rare. Perfectly cooked and really tasty. I also had the steamed broccoli and the baked potato as sides. Though I don’t normally go out of my way to spend this type of money on a meal I will remember this place for spacial occasions. The atmosphere is great and the service was fantastic. If you love steak more than you love your wallet(Which depending on the night, I do). This is a great place to eat.

I was traveling for business in OKC. We were actually going to a different place to eat. Drove by Opus and make the decision to try it. I thought it would be a little pricey but wanted something different. Our customer joined us… good evening… very good food. the service was about as good as it gets. I don’t eat a lot of red meat so was a little concerned about the sea food. The sea bass was great. The people I was with had steaks… they enjoy it. I would recommend opus!

They gladly sat six of us on a late Sunday when they were about a half hour from closing. The platters we got as appetizers were great. It had crab, garlic bread, shrimp, steak fries, and other stuff I forgot about. My ribeye was good. However, you can’t really expect too much when they were cleaning up and getting ready to shut down for the night. This is a higher end steakhouse but the steaks do not come out on sizzling plates; at least they didn’t for us. The lobster bisque soup was excellent. Crème brûlée for dessert was good too. Excellent customer service.
