Comfort Inn at Founders Tower

Great location for my purpose and the staff was nice enough, so I decided to overlook the first cockroach that I found running across the chair in my third-​floor room, making a beeline for my clean clothes. Later that night, I sent two more to bug heaven; this is simply and unacceptable level of roachiness for me. At 1.45AM, I was awakened by the raucous after-​bar noise from the nightclub («Groovies») located next door which did not subside for a good twenty minutes.
Checking out in the morning, I mentioned the bugs to a maintenance man that I met in the elevator but he did not want to discuss it, at least not with me. In the lobby, I overheard another guest talking to an employee about bugs in his room. The desk clerk acknowledged the problem with Groovies. The police had been summoned in the past. Apparently these are not new problems at this property — these are day-​to-​day issues that they are dealing with, apparently without success.
There are numerous chain restaurants and stores nearby and the location is close to freeways and major roads. Parking, breakfast and wi-​fi are free. If they clean the place up a bit, you could do worse, but that bar next door probably isn’t going away, so try to stay on the other side if you must check in here.

Wanted to update my review since it has been a year since we stayed here last. We stayed again for the Redman Triathlon this year and had another good experience. The front desk was the same woman as last year and she was just really nice and showed us a bunch of different restaurant options in the area. We actually even got the exact same room as last year which I thought was pretty funny. The parking lot is safe and well-​lit, and super close to a lot of restaurants. It is even right across the street from a Dave and Buster’s which is how we spent our post-​race celebration. Another good stay at a dependable, clean hotel.

I was the first room closest to the lobby on the main floor and still all was great.
I will stay here again

Stayed here one night with my wife. The room was very clean, good size, and quiet. We got the last room on the first floor and were worried it would be loud but we didnt hear anything. There was a small fridge, a low power microwave, a desk, and a tube TV in the room. The complimentary breakfast the next morning was a great surprise.
