Not only can ur buy that new purse you have been wanting at 3am in the morning at the store next door but ur can also get some dank bobos. Clearly catering to the crowd that wants to get their shopping and dinner done in one fell swoop. Bobos keeps it simple and cheap, their special sauce is a jug of honey that they can drench your busicuit and fries and chicken in. Pretty much some of the tightest smoked&fried chicken and bisquelits I have had.

Bobo’s is always great after a night out or whenever you’re in the mood for some fast comforting food. I love the chicken wings and the shrimp with the spicy honey sauce. The biscuits are always hot and delicious. Every time I come to town, I make sure it includes a weekend in order to enjoy some Bobo’s!

Went back to Bobos! Second time was as good as the first. Went back on a Friday night, this time I got the fried catfish and it was the second best fries fish I have ever had. The best is my dads so that is how good this fish was… second best to my dads! I would consider going back for the fish even if it wasn’t lent!

Love, love, love Bobo’s. Big smoked then fried chicken wings. I think I hear angels sing sometimes when I take the 1st bite :) I was cracking up reading the reviews. Someone’s biggest pet peeve was that the parking lot wasn’t paved. Really? I was surprised that a few people said they use liquid smoke. Ummm… do you NOT see the HUGE smoker right next to the trailer? I looked tonight… still there! Smoke coming out of it and everything. I doubt that the people who say that they use liquid smoke have actually been to Bobo’s. They were probably too scared to go on ‘that’ side of town and paid someone to get it for them, maybe?! LOL!!! I’ve been going there for 10 years. Never any trouble. It’s always busy. Great chicken, good fries(I love the Old Bay-like seasoning they sprinkle on), good fried dough, great catfish and shrimp. Shrimp is big and plump. And no, they’re not going to make buttermilk biscuits, it’s a freakin’ chicken food truck. I’m not sure why everyone constantly refers to their fried dough biscuits as anything remotely related to being Chinese. It’s fried dough. Just because Chinese buffets have them, that doesn’t mean fried dough is Chinese. In NJ, we cooked these on Shrove Tuesday and shook them in a bag with sugar and cinnamon(doughnuts). In MD, VA, NC, SC we threw balls of dough into the deep fryer when making fried chicken and put jelly on ‘em(and called them BISCUITS). Had fried dough at many, many bbq joints all over Texas and served with jalapeño jelly. So yummy! In Kansas City I had them at a Mexican restaurant. All being just like the one’s at Bobo’s. Fried.Dough. So why the hang-up in Oklahoma on them being ‘Chinese’? Just enjoy the chicken, catfish, shrimp and fried dough BISCUITS or don’t go LOL!!!

The chicken is fabulous! Honey sauce is amazing. Go in a group, as the truck in parked in a dark parking lot, in a not so safe part of town.

Good Lord, that honey sauce. There exists no phrase more beautiful than, «Do you want extra honey sauce on it?» I dearly miss Bobo’s since I moved from OKC. I miss loading up my friends in a caravan of cars to drive up to find that food truck, and filling our bellies while hanging out in the parking lot. That savory fried chicken, puffy biscuits, and crisp fries, all smothered in honey sauce– a culinary trifecta. I believe the chicken is smoked first and then fried. Genius. Treat yourself to some Bobo’s after a long, stressful week. Get those fingers sticky. You deserve it.

Unique! Unlike all other wings in town. If you like smoked wings, eat these! And if you love all things smothered in honey(wings, fries and biscuits), go here! Food truck on 23rd in a dark parking lot is my favorite! Cash only so come prepared. Wings & Shrimp are even better the next morning! Don’t be scared, eat BoBo’s!!l

Can anyone tell me if bobos is still around? I’ve gone the past few weekends and the truck wasn’t there. I’m leaving okc soon and really want to try this place

This is not better. This is chicken unparalleled by others. And within this rite it is awesome! It is the best of whatever category that it slides into. You will not have food like this anywhere else in the world. You’re only complaint should be that they put too much honey on it.

Best fried chicken I ever had! Its breading is crispy and well-seasoned on the outside breading and the meat inside is smoked to perfection. Other fried chicken joints seem to have a trade-off between the two qualities, but Bobo’s Chicken gives you the best of both worlds. Furthermore, the chicken meat is very thick and juicy and I squelch with joy at every bite that I take. The fries are crunchy and donned with exotic honey flavorings. I came here almost every Friday in high school. Since Bobo’s only opens at night in the ghetto part of town, I would tell my parents that I was going to the movies with friends but instead I would complete the 40 minute drive from Edmond to Bobo’s and devour luscious, mouth-watering fried chicken. While waiting in line, I was able to make friends with several locals rappers and we frequently have freestyle rap battles(with me being victorious most of the time) and to this day continue to support each other in our rap careers. Now that I am in college, coming here during breaks brings back the good olé’ memories.

Went to Bobo’s for the first time since hearing about it constantly from friends and coworkers over the years. I’ve gotta say, it didn’t really live up to its hype. The chicken was okay, but the liquid smoke they add is just wrong. Fries are fries, not much to say about them. The fried biscuits were interesting, in a good way. It was like having a large doughnut hole with my chicken wings. Now, we went ahead and went for the whole package, getting shrimp and catfish too. The shrimp were butterflied and fried, and they honey they poured on top gave them a nice flavor. Personally, I believe the catfish to be the winner of their menu. The filets were thick, the breading wasn’t too excessive, and they were fried perfectly. All in all not a bad experience, although my car still has a lingering smell of liquid smoke.

As good as it gets. Chicken wings are smoked and fried, super tender and perfectly seasoned, great flavor. Covered in honey, so amazing! Fries are seasoned and great, as is the fry bread. Don’t worry about the neighborhood, it’s not that bad. An OKC must.

I am probably the only person in town that doesn’t like Bobo’s Chicken. I know this as I write this review. I thought the food was abysmal and I was tipsy when I tried Bobo’s. Maybe the reason I didn’t like this food is because of my strong distaste for any food that humankind has deemed that smoking is the right way to prepare it. But honestly the smoke flavor was so overwhelming. It was not like smoked meat at a BBQ place. A friend told me it isn’t even smoked they just use Liquid Smoke. Yuck. After I ate these fried and smoked wings, my house smelled like smoked meat for several days. Eew! Do not bring this food into your house and throw the box away promptly. Also this maybe the food snob in me, but what is honey flavored sauce? What happened to just straight up honey?

If you get the 7 piece shrimp for 7.99 each additional chicken or catfish is $ 2 more. This was my 1st time here and heard all this hype. We ordered a 12-piece chicken for $ 19.99 and a 7-piece shrimp for $ 7.99 for 4 people. This was way more food than we needed. I expected 1.5 chickens, but instead it was all wings. I thought it was a great deal until I saw they are just wings. For as long as this place has been around, I would think they would at least have a paved parking lot. The chicken comes with fries and Chinese donuts. When you ask for honey, they douse it with honey(obviously not quality or real honey), but they pour it over everything, including the fries. It was definitely greasy but it was quite good with the liquid smoke flavor and then deep fried. The shrimp was decent and the fries were fries. The Chinese donuts were delicious though. There are 3 main items; shrimp, chicken or catfish. It is an ingenious strategy to open from 5 pm to 3 am Friday and Saturday and they seem to be constantly busy with a long line. As far as keeping it local, I am wondering how much this food truck really contributes to taxes and building the community, since, as mentioned, the parking lot that they have been at for the last 20 years is made of dirt and uneven. They take cash only so they probably hide a lot of their income. Would I come back? Probably not anytime soon as I felt pretty lethargic after.

A true staple of Oklahoma City. I’m glad I was finally able to visit Bobo and his famed food truck. I’d heard about the legend of Bobo’s for several years but never had the opportunity to go. The atmosphere is very different from your normal late night food truck hangout. The armored guard made me feel safe(er?). The food itself is 4 stars good. I had the biscuits and the staple fried chicken. If I had to do it over again, I would ask for about half as much honey, as my hole plate was drenched. Too much of a good thing… well, you know. I hope to make this trip to Bobo’s a yearly special occasion. Also, I highly recommend taking your Bobo’s to go and eating on the State Capital’s steps just a couple of miles down the road. It’s quite the experience.

Oh, Bobo –nice to have finally met you! I have heard faint rumors of your glory so as our group was leaving Grandad’s bar last weekend(after I danced all night at the Beyonce show) and I was depleted of food, your name sounded supreme. My one piece of advice here is to go big or go home. It’s reasonable to go big, so why not? Our group of 6 had plenty of chicken, fries, and fried honey bread to fill our bellies well for under $ 20! Bobo(I heard that’s not his real name, but I don’t care) was everything I dreamed of. He made the long line move quickly and handsomely looked like he knew what he was doing. I mean, think about it. Combining fried soul food with mass amounts of honey and not making it soggy? Genius. I fancied the chicken more than anything. It was crisp with lots of tender flavorful meat. The fried honey bread took second place and the fries I could probably do without. There isn’t any première seating here but I think Bobo wants it that way so you can be creative.(Remember –go big or go home.) We happily got our mouth-watering goods and headed over the State Capitol steps to enjoy. Yeah, top that!
