Wienerschnitzel

Well I’ve already reviewed Wienerschnitzel so I’ll just compare the 2. Both have great locations, and pretty good customer service. I’ve never had any problems at this location. They always make the chili cheese fries the right way, per order. I want the fries fresh out the grease, and that how they serve em here. Besides that don’t forget your coupons and good for 2 orders!

Great place with very friendly employees. We had a great time making some pumpkins while we ate. I highly recommend this location.

They served me a miniature soft serve vanilla cone that was suppose to have sprinkles but only had it on one side. I felt as though the employees were rushing and didn’t stop and make sure what they were serving was quality. My son complained about his corn dog looking burnt but he said the taste was ok. I would never stop at this location again. The one off palm in imperial beach is way better.

I had a kid’s party here and I’d definitely recommend it and come back again. They were friendly, helpful, had lots of great activities for the kids, they provided party favors and helpful things for the party parent, and gave me a nice price on the whole thing. Thanks to the staff and manager!

Nice customer service, good food! First time here& I was pleased with the hot dogs they served. You know, your good ol’ chili cheese dog! This place has been here since I was a kid… and I can definitely see why it has stuck around. Nice experience

This place is still & always will be the «To go place» for a hotdog/​chilidog. No matter if I’ve eaten already & I’m full or I know I’ll get the runs later (it’s not cuz the chili dog is bad I just get the runs whenever I eat chili-​beans) don’t matter cuz if I happen to be at a Wienersnitzhel I will order a Chili dog or 2.
On this day I already had food from another place & I came here to get food for my kids but of course I ordered 2 chili dogs for me. For the kids the mini corn dogs are perfect & the regular hot dog is good as well. There deserts are very good here. Love the sundaes here there pretty good. And everything is affordable here & they got good deals & sales. You get your $ worth here. This location is pretty clean & fast.
The fries tho are not good at all. Honestly probably the worst fries in fast food. But hey you want fries then go to McDonald’s, this place is known for there chili dogs & hotdogs & corn dogs. They can work on there friendliness a little tho, cuz this one & other WS the workers are not very friendly but there not rude either, just a bit too serious. I usually don’t give fast food places 4 stars I will to this place cuz the food is always fresh & good & there DT is fast the place is clean & the workers are not rude. Plus, I really love them damn Chili Dogs! I can never say no to them!

Wienerschnitzel (and I say it the Austrian way and people look at me funny) is one of those unique fast food places. Who else sells chili dogs primarily? Sonic has them and others might, but no one else makes a living from them.
I still remember the old A-​frame locations, some with drive-​thru windows, and hold them dear. This one was more modern and the staff was friendly and the dining room looked good. Even more, they had a dining room, which the A-​Frame style doesn’t.
I got the number 3 combo, which is an Angus beef-​based hot dog and chili with fries and small drink, and my buddy got 3 layer fries or something like that with bacon and more. Whoa.
The hot dog was better than the usual and the sesame seeded bun was unusual and made me think that Ronald McDonald had been there. The fries were limp and greasy, but the soda was fine.
I still like the 5 for $ 5.55 deal but didn’t have enough people to buy those and split them up this time.
It didn’t take long for the food and service was good. We stayed for an extended time to talk, and they didn’t have a problem with that, which is kewl.

Service was quick and the food is delicious. Got hooked on the hot dogs quickly. It’s tucked in a corner so usually there’s not a long line. All the attendants that have given me my food are super nice.

Deal’s are ok. Taste the same as other wienerschnitzel’s. Service at this one kinda sucks though…

Wow this place is open quite late. Drive thru open until midnight and dining room till 11 PM.
Love the chili cheese dogs and corn dogs. I wish they would sell just the chili cuz I would buy it! Did you know they sell fish and chips (fries) here? Yes they do. You get two pieces of fish and chips. Not bad for a fast food place.
Service is always with a smile and relatively fast.

I’ve been going to this location for years. The service has always been quick, the restaurant clean, and the quality of the food is always pretty good. I’m sure as long as I’m in south San Diego, I’ll hit up this Wienerschnitzel whenever I’m in the mood for the chili cheese dog.

If you want a chili cheese dog, this is the place. We’ve been to many of these fine restaurants in many cities and happy to know the cihili cheese dog is always the same. YAY! This one, and the one in IB are my personal favorites.

pros… this place is tucked out of sight. but the service is usually pretty good and the food comes out minutes after you order. they even have a drive-​thru window if you don’t want to get out of your car. i just love corn dogs they are one of my favorite foods. yeah, i know, you either love ‘em or hate ‘em. anyways, if you like them this is one place to get them. i like the regular combination of two corn dogs and a drink. this place also has a foster’s freeze so you can get a really good root beer float.
cons…the place gets somewhat busy in the drive thru, for lunch and sometimes at dinner time as well. the stupid speaker last time i went was just worthless. they also get somewhat busy for lunch even if you go inside as well.
