First time at this restaurant, and the service, workers, and food is phenomenal. The service was really nice and was constantly checking our table to see how we’re doing. We didnt have to call them to our table when we wanted more food or refill our drinks. The place is clean and the food is worth it.

Since I live in L.A.‘s Koreatown, where you can’t throw a rock without hitting a Korean BBQ restaurant, this place ranks pretty high up on the good places list. The banchans were very good, simple, but tasty. The meat quality was good, but the pork belly was a little fatty for our taste. The wait staff was very pleasant and attentive. The prices was very reasonable. We left very satisfied and FULL. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

A very unique type of eating at a reasonable price for the amount of meat you can eat(all you can eat) very very good

We came here for our friends Birthday and we had a pleasant time. The staff was super friendly especially with my 3 year old toddler. Everyone was attentive. The food was delicious as always. We usually just get the A2 and get our money’s worth. I love it here!

WOW! MANna OH MANna! First time ever trying Korean bbq and I am hooked. I had always wanted to try KBBQ but never did because I never had the time or someone to go with me. I went with my cousin and he introduced me to my newest desire of KBBQ. I tried this place on a Friday, it is Wednesday and I have ben craving it ever since. I loved the sauce, the sides, and especially the meat. I was fortunate enough to not have to deal with the waiting, which was about 45 minutes. I came while my cousin was already waiting, so I skipped the line and walked right in. I will definitely come back, especially with my 5-star rating, to eat here again. I will most likely make a trip to the location on Convoy because I believe that is the original location. Please, do yourself a favor and eat here!

06/29/2015 I came here for lunch. The place wasn’t that filled so I was seated right away. The waitress was very helpful guiding me through their menu options since it was my first time here. I ended up getting the lunch buffet; I think I did a great job cooking my own food, because it was delicious! I wouldn’t mind coming here again with a larger group. This place made me feel like a cook at Benihanas.

Wait time — 30 minutes on a Friday night for a party of 6 Cleanliness — Good Price — $ 30 a person for A2(after tax, before tip) Customer service — Good Taste of the food — Not so good. The rice was good but everything else we didn’t really like. We tried the spicy chicken, galbi and brisket. The meat was really chewy and fatty. We had to drench everything in the sauce. It just wasn’t worth the money. I would pass on this place.

So this month is completely dedicated to my Momz. We have birthday months, so why not Mother’s month? Although we should celebrate our mothers every day… but I digress. We wanted to avoid the typical Mother’s Day brunch crowds so the family decided to celebrate a day early. All my mom wanted was some kind of steamed rice, soup and meat. Enter Manna BBQ Chula Vista. The beauty behind this particular Manna is that we were able to make reservations. I remember trying to do the same at the Convoy location but was unable to do so. Since my Popz is handicapped and in a wheelchair, they were kind enough to accommodate us with a table closest to the door that was basically stand alone. So the extra space was a welcome bonus for making my Popz as comfortable as possible. We always go with the A2, my favorites being the brisket, rib fingers and pork belly. Steamed eggs, japchae and all the fixings come along as well so we filled up on those along with our meat fest. Momz and Popz were both happy so that’s all that mattered. In case I forgot to mention, I celebrate my birthday every year with Momz so it was hilarious when my bro cued the cake and we heard a loud karaōke style happy birthday song come blaring through the speakers, LMAO! That was awesome and unexpected. Quality of the meat is standard and if you’ve never done Korean BBQ before, you order until your belly near explodes. Please don’t let it get to that point though. Service was friendly and attentive however one male waiter had made a comment about possibly running out of rice papers and they had to make them last the weekend… which was odd. Maybe he was worried about us wasting them but isn’t this an all you can eat place? Regardless, we enjoyed our visit here and will gladly return. Parking is ok and if you can, I recommend an early dinner if you don’t have reservations. It was pretty quiet during that time. Thank you Manna! I’ve got the meat sweats!

Belle T and I decided to give this place a try after a very long day of shopping at the Outlets at the Border. We’re both card carrying KBBQ addicts, so we are picky and our standards are high. NOTSORRY! We arrived around 5 on a Saturday evening and were seated immediately. In fact, the place was pretty empty for a Saturday night. When compared to K-Town or Gen, it was weird. Saturday nights are usually crackin’ for KBBQ spots. The proteins were decent, but not as high quality as Gen or Hae Jan Chong in K-Town. The marinated were pretty bland and the non-marinated meats were underwhelming. The banchan were decent, especially the kim chi, salad, and radish paper. Belle loved the spicy tofu soup, said that was the best thing she ate there. The service was decent, but not as attentive as I’d expected especially since they weren’t all that busy. They were pleasant, don’t get me wrong, but I’m accustomed to having staff come by now & then to check on us. That did not happen at all. Can’t see myself returning. I’m sure there are better options in the area. I told you we have high standards and are picky. #Unapologetic

I liked this place a lot! Well marinated proteins, good sides, and customer service was great, everyone was helpful which is a big plus. Usually places will say«let me get the server for you» or something but everyone here helped each other out, that kind of service needs to be more common in all restaurants. The all you can eat was a big plus, although we didn’t end up eating all that much, it is filling stuff. I didn’t get any hint of trying to pull a fast one, they served your choice of meat very quickly so it wasn’t like they delayed service hoping you would get full. Quick, clean, and filling. Make sure you save a tiny bit of room for the macaroon ice cream right by the door, those were a great way to finish off the meal.

This is such a cool place to eat at. The food is great and the price is pretty fair. Pay to cook your own food but it’s cool with me. It’s the service that’s knock this place down to 3 stars. You get 2 hours of eat time. And when I want to Turn up the heat on the stove the servers are really sneaky and they lower the heat and it takes longer for the meat to cook and you will run out of time. That’s shady.

This is a go to spot for cook it yourself Korean BBQ in San Diego. Price is pretty reasonable for all you can eat. We opted for the higher quality meats which included rib eye steaks. In addition we also enjoyed short ribs, shrimp, brisket, octopus, bulgogi and squid. Come here with a group to enjoy the experience of cooking your own Korean food. Do not come here if you intend to keep your fresh out of the shower scent as you will walk out smelling like you’ve marinated in bbq beef all day.

This is probably my fourth time at this location and it has been, by far, the best visit I’ve had. both with food and service. Knowing it would be busy on a Saturday night, my husband and I got to manna around 540. We were seated within ten minutes which was awesome! As far as service goes, it was quick, smooth, and very attentive. I didn’t even have to ring the buzzer once to get anyone’s attention even though it was a packed Saturday night dinner crowd. When we got to our table, the grill was already lit and ready to go, the ban Chan(korean side dishes) were all set up and the waitress ready to take our order! Waiters and waitresses stopped by often to see if we needed more sides or more meat or a new grill. It was a great service experience The food was typical Korean BBQ fare and every bit delicious. We tried a ton of new things today. We got the LA Gabi(which we get every time). The meat was juicy and flavorful. Soooo tender and yummy. We also got the brisket. Believe it or not it was my first time having brisket at a korean bbq restaurant and I loved every bit of it! The last meat we got was the beef rib meat. This one wasn’t so popular with us. I found it chewy and tough personally because of the cartilage of the beef I guess it was? We also got a steamed egg, which was simple but good, and we got the rice paper to go with our other sides. I really liked wrapping my meat and salad with the rice paper! Overall it was an excellent service tonight. I love Manna and will continue to come back!

Currently eating @ Manna BBQ down in Chula Vista. I’m really enjoying the service and the food is beyond my expectations. The meat is very tender and juicy since you’re eating it right off the grill. The quality of their meat is amazing. This will probably be my new favorite restaurant to spend my leisure time after a long day at work. The servers are very attentive and caring. I couldn’t ask for a better way to spend my Monday night. I want to thank all the servers for their excellent service. Be sure to give this place a try if you enjoy high quality Korean BBQ.

First time and I loved it my new favorite restaurant. I am a chef. And you cook the meats fresh. On your. Table I got A2 kind of pricey. But worth it !!! They do have a pushbutton if you need your server for more food. Or drinks highly recommend this place. For a first date. Or birthday.

Though I’ve always liked Korean BBQ, I’ve been loving it a lot lately! Since this location wasn’t as busy because it’s only Tuesday and it was a late lunch. So the customer service was excellent! We didn’t need to hit the call button once since our server was always nearby. You can definitely tell our server was working hard because we were one of those needy tables needing something every 5 minutes! This location is closer to me and I love the consistency of each different Manna location on the meats and service. Each table has its own call button for your convenience on whenever you need something like extra meat, more rice, extra side dishes, etc. Always my go to options: –Beef rib finger meat –Brisket –Pork belly –steamed egg –Thick rice paper I personally didn’t like the bulgogi that much or the LA galbi because they were just too sweet for my liking. I had to put more sesame oil and salt/pepper to make it less sweet. A2 option is $ 21.99 for the most basic! The other options are obviously pricier since it does include seafood.

The service here was good. I literally had to ring the bell like twice on my visit the whole hour I was there. The meats that they serve here is all okay. Not many of them had any flavor to it or any seasoning. After the second order I kind of just got tired of everything. Don’t know if I would consider going back to this ayce kbbq though.

Manna barbecue is a Korean restaurant on Otay Lakes Rd, Chula Vista. You can order from the menu A1 for $ 24.99 or A2 for $ 19.99 and have the bbq where you cook yourself on the built in grill on the center of the table. The beef tongue is really good, and it’s our favorite, jumoolak and bulgogi combined with the steamed egg(gaeran ggim) and a plate of salad. I love my barbq with ddukbossam(rice paper wrap), it’s good, try it and you will like it too, unless you prefer the lettuce wrap. The server is very attentive and always checking on us if we need more. All in all I am quite satisfied with the service. I will be back and have more barbq! And will bring my family to enjoy it too!

This review is long overdue. I have been going to Manna for a long time, the one in Convoy to be exact, even before this not-so-new-anymore location opened up… I’m so grateful that it did. First of all, endless meat. Yes, endless. It’s all you can eat Korean BBQ for about $ 22. I’m disappointed because it used to be $ 19.99, but they have their reasons for this price increase. That’s for the all meat menu, but if you add seafood, it costs extra. Whenever I go, there’s no wait unless I’m with a big party, but it can get pretty busy. It’s not as big as the Manna in Convoy, but it’s still quite spacious. I like the quality of their meat in comparison to places such as Taegukgi and Jeong Won. For instance, Manna’s brisket and bulgogi(because those are the main types of meat I order) don’t really have any fat. It cooks well, too. That’s another thing! The grills at Manna don’t get black/charred as fast as other places, and cook the meat well. In addition to the meat, you get salad and a lot of side dishes for free. By the way, if you didn’t know, you cool the meat yourself! The customer service is always great! They’re very attentive. Whenever I’m in a big party, they always attend to our needs. I mean – there’s A LOT of us and literally every few minutes, someone in my party has to ask for something. They’re nice and quick in helping us out, though! Even when it’s just me and my boyfriend, we don’t encounter any problems. Manna BBQ is an A+ place.
