They are located through the YMCA eastlake They are very structured and very good with kids. My son is extremely difficult and they handle him incredibly. I highly recommend their program.

I’m proud to say that I’m a former student of this fine establishment. This was years ago when I was in high school but I can still remember all the good times and sore muscles I’ve had there! I really like that it’s not ONLY children that attend, but a good mix of teens, young adults, and even older folks that want to stay sharp and get in shape. I must say that my favorite day of the week was always Friday. Sparring day. There’s nothing like sparring your buddies and relieving some stress(in a controlled setting, that is.) It definitely got competitive in a good way! I got to spar with the Grandmaster’s son a few times… He’s pretty good, but I definitely got him a few times! I guess it was pretty even… This studio is an excellent place for kids to stay focused, mentally and physically. The kids usually end up becoming good friends and hanging out outside of the studio as well. I also recommend it for young adults and working professionals who want to wind down after a long day of work. You can be sure I’ll be going back here if I ever move back down to SD.

I trained with the studio for 4+ years, and it was a wonderful experience ! The instructors are knowledgeable and very involved, and because it is family-run, all the students there are treated with great care and attention. It was also a great support system, since a lot of us were in high school and we would often times meet up during the weekends for tutoring/homework sessions. There were adults who would enroll their kids and then sign up for classes themselves to stay in shape and get involved, so the overall community was well-balanced and honestly, just great fun(: I think BBTKD is unlike any other«American» martial arts studio in the sense that they won’t pass students simply because their parents can pay. They really push you to work hard, and discipline is everything. You can’t expect to go in and drop some dimes to get a black belt. Overall, a GREAT experience. If you’re serious about learning Tae Kwon Do, I highly recommend !

Black Belt TKD Studios is a great place to send kids to learn Tae Kwon Do. The studio is family run, and the instructors are very knowledgeable. I’ve observed many classes, and through competition and instruction these students learn discipline and gain self-esteem. Plus, they’re having fun while doing it. It’s not just a place to learn a martial art, but for the students to grow both physically and mentally. Highly recommended.
