I absolutely love the new owners at the Manhattan they definitely brought in a better crowd of people a better atmosphere great bands great entertainment, great drinks great specials and let’s not forget the absolutely positively great karaōke sure that they put on over there! not once in my life have I ever said that place a bar that I sing it feels more like a family than it ever did before and I don’t drink alcohol but the Manhattan makes me feel like I’m family with every one of them people in there and they’re very kind and welcoming and I had nothing but fun went last weekend last Thursday actually went we went and I brought my blind girlfriend and they reserved a table for us to help this get around they treated us like I said family and loved it great time would recommend it to anybody specially Thursday night karaōke and hey go on the weekends check out one of the bands look for their website on Facebook under the Manhattan bar in Chula Vista ! whichever night you choose the show you will enjoy yourself whether it be Thursday night whether it be the weekend I guarantee and promise you you’ll have a good time! Best bar in Chula Vista for sure you’re silly if you go anywhere else but the Manhattan hi I live in Chula Vista a good 30 years now and I can tell you the Manhattan is the best bar in Chula Vista for sure!

Great selection of beer! Best bar in Chula Vista hands down. Great thing about this bar is that every time I go there is a different selection of what’s on draft which is awesome.
I visited this location on a Wednesday night and it was moderately packed but not too packed. All the workers were very nice and music selection was pretty solid.
Overall I feel like this location does a good job accommodating to all different age groups and is a good location to come have a beer or two and habgout.

If you like craft beer this is a MUST. I don’t give 5 Stars because Matt the owner is going to do even better things so the bar will be raised. The beer menu here is amazing, the locals are old ass drunks that make the word DIVE mean something. This is a place that is fun regardless of the time you go, highly recommend.

I will definitely be coming here more often. The craft beer tap selection is superb. Don’t like those, Pfffft, other choices in a bottle. They have tons of liquor as well but not my thing… 4 stars only cause they don’t have a grill. Even fried food appetizers would do. I like eating fatty foods while I drink. See you guys Saturday!!!

I’m so happy to see a bar with craft beer on the west side of Chula Vista. Been here a few times. Liked the live bands. Good selection of craft beer on tab. The owner is very nice and made us feel at home

Great craft beer bar in Chula Vista.
What makes this craft beer bar so unique with the ubiquitous hipster bars popping up around San Diego is that they’ve kept the true dive bar atmosphere where you can drink a Bourbon County yet play a game of pool or darts and watch the game.
They have about 12 taps, all craft beer and mostly local gems. Also have a great on site consumption bottle selection for very reasonably priced. For instance, a BA Stone release for only about a dollar more than the brewery was selling it for!
If you have that friend or parent in town who is set in their ways and won’t drink anything but Bud, this place will appease them as well because they have all of the macro bottles AND a full bar. I frequent the craft beer scene in SD but most places don’t offer all of the macros for that one person in the group!
The south bay is definitely stepping up their game and the Manhattan is a great place to go!
