Phở Chino Hill it a good place. Phở is so delicious and the place it really professional. I will be back here next time when I’m craving for Phở.

This place has gone downhill. No AC inside on a 100 degree day! Unbelievable. To add onto that, the 3 combination meat sandwich is only 2 meats because«beef and pork didn’t go well together.» If that’s the case, change the freakin menu! Also, the rice plate is supposed to come with an egg roll. The egg roll was nowhere to be found. Such a disappointment.

Delicious food in great portions! Chino Hills has a lot of Vietnamese choices but this is the highlight

The 2nd best phở place in SoCal. Unless you want to stomach ludicrous traffic to make it to Rowland’s Phở HA, this is the place to hit up A lifetime of being picky with soup ;)

So last minute decided to get take out here. Having lived in the OC and knowing my viet food I cannot believe this place is still open. It was ridiculously hard to place an order. The older lady up front colder speak English or something and then had to get someone from back. Then the lady comes out and she seemed to barely understand what I want. I even pointed to the item on their menu. As the food is getting made some guy come back and then he rings me up. I hand him an American Express card and he tells me they don’t take it. Yet on their menu it clearly shows they take it. There’s some funky flavor in the soup base and was not very tasty. The spring rolls were sad… I’ve never bought spring rolls that were ripped. I’ve made my own spring rolls too. It’s just sad. I will never return here again.

I’m really not a stickler for ambiance. For me, divey places with a B rating can have an endearing air of authenticity that doesn’t make me feel like I’ve gone the pretentious route. However this place takes it a little too far. For air conditioning they mounted a big noisy fan on one of the countertops to circulate the funky-smelling air throughout the cavernous, oddly-colored dining area. Service was uninspired. I’ll try somewhere else next time.

Was passing thru and decided to try this place. Pretty decent phở. It’s quiet with an open space. Not a fan of their phở soup spoons. It’s too big to put my mouth around. The place is pretty clean and the waiter is friendly. I would come back here again.

My boyfriend and I came here yesterday for the first time and oh man, the phở was so flavorful and super delicious. We’re so happy that we finally found a yummy phở place in Chino Hills since we just moved here a couple months ago. The lady that took our order was super friendly. The food came out quick and the portion sizes were perfect. They are not stingy with the veggies/meat portion! I definitely recommend this place. We will be coming back!

Filthy menus, food that does NOT match the photos or descriptions at ALL, getting the runs and constantly blowing sticky air all take away from the pleasant service and decent prices of this place. I will NOT be back. They probably won’t be open long anyway.

We just moved back to chino hills and decided to try this place. It was quite difficult to find the place because there was no detailed directions to it. but we really wanted to try it and finally found it hidden on an almost deserted side of the complex. After a longer than usual wait, we had before us the usual phở, but at first taste it was: 1. Too salty: I had to add half a cup of hot water to make it edible. 2. Not tasty, tasted like it was made from a ramen flavor pouch. 3. No variety in meats like a «combo» was supposed to be. So no, I don’t recommend this place.

Been here a total of 3 times, each time was different but not in terms of the Food.(Which matters most) the food was great each I have been here. I always get the pork spring rolls! Soo Bomb! Great way to start your meal. The phở itself is really tasty! I guenually leave this place happy everytime! The only reason it doesn’t get full 5 is the location seems to be under construction and the service lacks at times. But the food is well worth it.

Gave 2 tries at this place. 1st visit I ordered phở tai and was told that they were out of beef flank steak… Really now? It was a slow Tuesday lunch service and they ran out of a key ingredient. So instead I had to substitute my choice of meat with brisket, which was thick, hard to chew cuts. I ended up finishing just the noodles. Total with tip was $ 12, a little too much for a bowl of phở. 2nd visit was another slow weekday lunch. This time they had beef flank steak. I was expecting the thinly sliced steak before my bowl came, but turns out I was wrong. It was just as thick as the brisket that I got substituted during my first visit. And with such a thick cut of steak, you can bet I was left pieces of raw beef in the broth. One other I noticed was there was 2 different cuts of steak. 1 was machine sliced and the other seemed like thick handcut chunks and pieces. And once again, I ended up finishing just the noodles. Another $ 12 to assure myself that this place isn’t as it seems. The broth was good due to the fact It had a stronger aroma of star anice than most places. Unfortunately, $ 24 is all this place is going to see from me.

The food isn’t bad here but it wasn’t anything special either. 3.5 stars. I had the #18, the pork chop was saucy. The chicken phở had flavorful chicken breasts and the broth was okay. The sparkling lemonade was expensive and kind of interesting.

Came here on a beautiful Sunday morning, I have to say that I’m impressed with the look of the restaurant. It’s a lot nicer than most Phở places. It’s also in a nice plaza. –Like most Phở places, they have a lot of choices. –Price wise, it’s fair, borderline cheap on some of the dishes. –Friendly staff! As for the food… Springs Rolls Delicious, they have a variety of meats that u can choose from. BBQ Combo Rice Plate The Plate comes with choice of BBQ pork, chicken, or beef. Also comes with a fried egg, shrimp cake and a rice cake. While the value of the food is definitely a deal, for 9 dollars it would be hard to compete with that. However the food was a little bit lacking in flavor. Chicken Wing Appetizer The chicken was just ehh, and the portion size on it sucked. All in all, it’s a nice place to go get phở. I would come back to eat here, but it isn’t the best Vietnamese either.

The owner or manager man definitely reads your reviews here. He was able to address our situation with the slow staff and apologized the next day! We love the phở here and the service from the owner(man) is always great!

Unilocal 2015 Challenge #3 I tried loving this place. I really did :(But sobs, it doesn’t hold up too much to other phở places. Came here twice, once on a Monday at noon. It was just under half full, and I decided to get what I always get at phở places. The«special» phở, large style(cuz I was feeling hungry). To their credit, there was a lot more meat then usual, but with the soup you could tell MSG in it ._. The meat and the noodles were good Oh yeah, if you have the Unilocal app GETTHEFREESODA. The water had a weird aftertaste. Really weird after taste. Also had BBQ Pork Spring Rolls, which was actually pretty good: D(4 for $ 5) They are also like the Chinese restaurants and they give some tapioca pudding at the end. Nice surprise. :D Next time came there for a to go order of the rice with pan fried diced filet mignon(#19?). They didn’t have enough flavor that I’ve tasted in other restaurants. It’s a little bit off with flavor. They had tons more onion and bell peppers and lettuce than meat, which doesn’t bode too well. They had the yellow rice which hehe tastes good :) So it’s kinda on and off here, with a pick here and there. Since this is a phở place, it’s 2⁄5 for the phở. Not too good. The CA Noodle place across the street was a bit better. Also to their credit, they treat you real well here. Excellent service here. :)

I ate here with my cousin and had their house special phở. This place is big and the location is remote. Now, the phở is too salty for my taste, and it’s a bit expensive. I’ve definitely had better soup for cheaper in the SGV area. That being said, for Chino Hills phở, it’s pretty good! And you get a free drink with a Unilocal checkin, slick! There’s another phở place on Grand if you need a quick phở fix in this city. Also, the menu is huge, like 8 pages long.

This is like the 3rd or 4th restaurant I’ve seen here since the location can be a bit hard to find. It’s facing the old Krikorian theatre near MIn’s Dumpling’s House. I usually get the Nem Nuong Cuon(Spring Rolls with Grilled Pork Patties) — $ 3 for 2. and a small phở for $ 7. Their dried noodle dish with fried tofu and charbroiled beef($ 7) is good too. They also have honey green tea($ 3) which was pretty tasty. They also give a free warm tapioca dessert afterwards. They have coupon in the local coupon booklet that comes in the mail. They deliver free if you buy over $ 25 worth. The owner is nice and the place is clean. They take card.

Pretty much the same phở place as before, we were told, but with a change of management and décor. There is still a strong incense smell in there. Our server was REALLY friendly. He kept coming up to us asking us if we needed anything else, that he’s gonna give us coupons for being first-timers at this place, and chatting. We were one of the only ones there since it was early though. Phở was actually pretty good. I decided to choose the 3-item phở, with brisket, beef ball and tripe. Everything was ok, though I will say that the brisket was tender and not as fatty, which for me was nice. The noodles were a decent portion and the broth was not as bold and rich as other places, but seemed to have a lot of spices– perhaps cinnamon? We also shared the egg rolls(2 for $ 3, or 4 for $ 5). These were actually quite good and I loved that they give you pickled radish and carrot and some cucumber along with the lettuce. Fish sauce was not that pungent and was sweeter. More of a 3.5 stars for me, as I am not sure I would come back. I don’t particularly find myself craving it, and I was thirsty afterwards.

Our chicken came out RAW and I found a vegetable tie, like the little metal paper draw ties, IN my soup. REDFLAG Came on a Sunday afternoon. Four of us. Whole place was empty with two diners out of 80 seats. Food took way too long to come out for no one in the restaurant. 15 min spring rolls(four to order in halves), 30 min entrée(phở tai, veggie phở, phở tai + brisket, rice dish) These are all 5 – 10 min dishes in any $ or $$ Vietnamese spots. It’s a strip mall phở spot, there’s no atmosphere(reasonably). Basic, not a point of contention. Service was vacant, bad music, very little English or service knowledge. Still reasonable for most strip mall phở. Not a big deal. But, someone WILL get sick here. The pork in a spring roll was off, I could taste it. The basil for the phở was rotted out with 40% brown. That’s not fresh basil. That’s week old. This is a sloppy operation and I don’t think anyone cares. Zero stars for no service(not bad, just none) and no food safety. Bet it’s gone in one year.
