Mimi’s Cafe

Not only is the food on point, so is the coffee and so is the wait staff. The food is so good and the pancakes are just perfect. I really enjoy taking my kids to breakfast at Mimi’s because I know they will be have a yummy breakfast and I can take one of their pancakes :)

So disappointed… you took the veggie burger off the menu. With the exception of a salad, there are no vegetarian or vegan options left… sad, sad, sad. Get a few veggie options and I’ll come back. Ended up leaving and going to Pieology for a veg pizza.

We had to leave! We came in to a very nice host, but after being seated we were completely ignored, even by the manager. After speaking with the manager, still no service. One star for the friendly guy that sat us.

One of my favorite places to go for Sunday Brunch. It is usually busy so try and get there early. They try there best to get you in quick and offer free water and desserts while you wait!

Not what it use to be, that’s for sure! Service was pretty slow, the menu seemed to shrink and the prices seemed to grow. I’d come back though, just for the French onion soup, which is by far the best I’ve had.

We’ve been going to Mimi’s for years. We enjoy the French/​New Orleans atmosphere, good food, value, and wonderful service. It was one of the few restaurants that was here in the Chino Hills area when we moved to this new community. Now that there are more restaurant choices, we still find ourselves going to Mimi’s quite often and will continue to do so.

Had dinner here on a Tuesday night. I had the Salmon and my husband had the Roasted Chicken. They were both good. Service was excellent. I had a coupon. So, it was a great deal. The complimentary carrot bread that came in the bread basket was delicious!

We have business meetings here weekly & service is always great! Today deserves a Unilocal review. I was in there for Business Professionals Network. I usually split a dish and have to ask for an extra plate. Today they split the dish for us on 2 separate plates… That’s excellent service.

Not bad for a chain restaurant, the server was also the bar tender but different servers kept checking on us so it was hard to tell who my server was, they forgot no tomatoes in my omelet which is a total bummer, but the muffin it came with was good

I was here a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to have lunch, I was hungry and my kids too. unfortunately we had a bad experience at this Mimi’s Café. I have always love going to this restaurant specially for breakfast, but his time we decided to have lunch. The service was bad, they took forever, food was very greasy, one waitress that look like she was lost. i was kind of disappointed about the place. I remember better quality food from Mimi’s, but this one, sorry I won’t come back. Even my ten year old didn’t like his burger and I don’t blame him. It will give anyone a heart attack, it’s was so greasy. Over all, i think quality has gone down on this restaurants :(Might stop for coffee only

Nice staff, they are really nice. Chino location great for a quiet brunch even seated next to the bar. Food came out fast and service was on the spot.

Dinner was cold and looked like it was under heat lamp for a while. Server was nice but food was not good.

Love coming here for breakfast. LOVE my delicious mimosas here! Everytime we dine here, We’ll try something new on the menu and we’ve never been disappointed. Servers know us and customer service is always friendly and efficient even if the restaurant is packed. Perfect that they are open on New Year’s Day! What an Awesome way to kick off the new year!

I ordered their Thanksgiving feast, this was the first time I ordered our Thanksgiving dinner so wasn’t sure what to expect, but the food was GREAT. The turkey was flavorful and not dry at all. They did however forgot the seasoning/​dressing for the turkey, no biggy. What I would recommend is to buy or make more mash potato. That is always popular and there wasn’t enough. I would say the each side dishes are probably about 2 large at a fast food chain like KFC. It had mash sweet potato, green beans, stuffing, etc… for the price and the portion it was a great deal. I would consider ordering again.

This sign clearly says closed at 11pm on Saturday. My boyfriend and I just went out to get a quick warm soup on a rainy day at 10:30pm and the doors were locked. I’m giving this place 2 stars because I actually like their food, but this was so disappointing.

Nice Service (it was quick service, but we were the only ones there at 10pm for dinner)
Clean, comfy, portion size was good.
If I didn’t have the «Buy One Entrée & 2 Drinks, Get One Entrée Free» coupon, it would be too pricey for what you get.
I hear breakfast & lunch is good though.

All week at work we have been craving one of those great grilled cheese and soup combos from Mimis. We all decided to drive to the Chino location and feed the beast.
I guess something’s are better left to memory. I have noticed many locations have closed, I now know the reason.
The fun bread basket are now little nuggets of carrot bread (we had to ask), it took 40 minutes to get 3 grilled cheese sandwiches and an additional 10 min to get French onion soup.
Upon arrival, the tops of the sandwiches were crooked and looked lazy.
The salad had hot cherry tomatoes. I kid you not. The worst part was I but into my grilled cheese and the bottom bread was brunt. Tasted burnt it was awful. We didn’t have time to send it back because we had a business meeting. Sorry Mimis but this may be the reason you are losing money.

Came here for lunch with coworkers. ordered a burger and my coworkers ordered their salads. I really don’t know why the kitchen took longer than 20 minutes to bring out the food. I mean… it was only salads… How hard is it to make salads.
The tables weren’t even full. There were approximately a total of 5 tables. Please servers… speed up your service… !!!

If you know me personally, you know that Mimi’s is one of my all time favorite places to go for breakfast and brunch. The reason being that the ambience is so traditionally French café-​esque. I love French culture, so naturally this is a go-​to place.
Best corn chowder that I’ve ever tasted, hands down. I don’t get it anywhere else because Mimi’s spoiled me. For «breakfasty» food, I like to get their California Omelet and a blackberry muffin (it’s seasonal – I also adore their cranberry orange muffin, seasonal). For dinner time, my favorite is the slow roasted turkey breast dinner – absolutely delish. They’ve also got really great tasting coffee.
This particular location is fantastic. Their servers are incredibly friendly and attentive. They know us by face already – we go there way too much, but honestly it’s very cool. They take great care of us. No matter how busy they get, they are on it with the service. They make great suggestions and elaborate on their personal favorites.
Love this place! Feels like home!

I had a nice experience in this restaurant on a weekday lunch.
I had the Chicken Cordon Bleu sandwhich of which I’ve been told by the chef is a popular item. It consists of chicken, ham, lettuce and swiss cheese in sourdough bread. It was delicious, the chicken tender and delicious!
My lunch mate ordered some croissant burger but I am not sure she liked it very much.
The corn chowder and muffins were remarkable.
I wouldn’t mind coming back here.
