This place is kind of tucked away in a unknown plaza off grand. But just look and you’ll find! +1 for awesome service. We came here for the all you can eat and they had a early last call at 915pm but the server didn’t tell us. The owner was kind enough to come by and let us know and extend our last call time just so we wouldn’t feel ripped off about not being able to order more. She was soooooo sweet and accommodating! She checked on us a few times to make sure we had enough food. They have a sauce bar near the entrance for you to make it yourself. The soups are a little more bland than before. I used to like to drink the house broth right out of the pot and it would be really good but now it’s more watered down. The spicy side is alright. The beef seemed a little tougher to chew than before. Other sides are the same. My favorites are the glass noodle and house soup together with some tofu at the end of the meal. Mm. It’s hard not to over order here but unless you’re in a rush, pace yourself!

I love this place. We get the AYCE so we can have different meats. We love the beef and pork belly most. The veggies are fresh and they have tons to choose from on the menu. We usually get the house broth and the kimchi broth, both are very good. The sauce bar is great because you can make your sauce however you choose. The service is okay. Usually the people are friendly, sometimes I feel like they are a little indifferent. The interior is clean, and spacious. No booths, just tables, and bar seating. Parking is easy since their is a big lot, and it’s never been too crowded.

Came here for the first time to satisfy my shabu craving… and I must say I was definitely satisfied. Place is kinda hard to find if you’re a first-timer…it’s in the plaza near the fountain, so just park and head towards the fountain. Parking is typically not a problem, but the lunch rush always draws a few more cars, so come earlier and beat the crowd. There are a variety of broths to choose from; I’ve tried the sukiyaki(pronounced skeeyaki for those who never knew), the house(which always comes with your order; you get a split pot with your broth of choice and house), and the miso(my coworker had it and let me try). They have premium meat available, and house cut beef… which is good enough for 9.99. There are 3 sizes, so get whichever one you wanna get; but you get a ton of cabbage and veggies, so I see most people being fine with even the small serving of meat. Now here is the cool part; you get to put together your own sauce at the sauce station. Ponzu, Soy, Vinegar, and all the crushed/minced garlic you can digest, along with all the regular fixins; pepper flakes, scallions, etc. You can go back as much as you want; they just ask that you take what you will finish and not to go overboard. The sauce station is clean too, they maintain it very well. One cool thing I found out at the end is that you can actually call in your order so that your broth is ready to go and your meat and veggies are waiting for you when you arrive! :)(Prob easier to do at lunch). Service was excellent, very friendly and efficient. We’re coming back!

Not sure to give this place a 3-star or 2-star. But here are reasons why this place is 2-star: — unlike boiling point, if you come with a friend during lunch hrs, you AND your friend will be asked to both purchase. It was 9.99 a small pot, and my friend also HAD to order another item so she went with a dish. We ended up spending more than expected. — the broth isn’t as tasty as boiling point, we got the house and the miso base, and we had to add ton of sate and a bit of salt for flavor. –we came on the wrong day because the AC wasn’t working. It felt like an oven eating the food. The few pros are: –staff was friendly(although I could barely understood him, but better than bp staff), –serve your own sauce, and they have saté Sorry to compare to boiling point, but bp is one of my fav place to eat hot pot with a decent price.

Something has change at this place. It has been a year since I’ve been to this place & it change for the bad. Broth wasn’t as tasty. When we told the waitress we have a Groupon, the elder lady change her facial expression to disappointment. The groupon offered dessert but we weren’t able to choose off their dessert menu. The dessert they gave us was watered down jelly/jello. This was a big disappointment. My partner wasn’t happy and they just lost a shabu fan.

The food here is okay. I’m a big fan of shabu and I’ve tried many different places. For the price I paid for, I had better experiences at other shabu places.

Their vegetable plate normally came with glass noodle. I was there over the weekend and the server told me the glass noodle had been removed from the standard vegetable plate. We can now choose from white rice, fry rice, or glass noodle. Just FYI

I’m too lazy to write a detailed review so here’s my short and fobby review. So so so salty. Got the highest meat which was good but super thin and it had bones in them… Bad cut. Soup base is super salty. I got the ma la spicy soup base which tasted VERY salty, unbearably salty. I felt like I was drinking salt water. Also the house soup base which is basically just MSG and water. It’s funny cus I asked the guy if there was MSG in the soup base and he said no and that they use chicken powder. Guess what buddy, chicken powder ISMSG. It’s just chicken flavored MSG! Some people are allergic to MSG, so you better know your facts and ingredients before you get yourself and the establishment in trouble! Also, they are so cheap that they only give you half a fish ball that is smaller than a quarter… Like really? You’re going to go out of your way to slice a smaller than a quarter fish ball in half… Who does that? Oh yeah. Cheap Asian people. Conclusion: never coming here again.

Pros: — Great food — Courteous staff — Great prices Cons: — Hard to find location. — Dead plaza. I’ve previously reviewed this location when it was called Kin Noki but ever since this new management took over I’ve been quite happy about everything overall. Staff was nice and on point. Last time I went there was some sauce making DIY station which was cool as I went overboard and made some interesting concoction. I had no issues with the food and for a place you cook your own food don’t have anything else to say besides it was fresh and no complaints there. I kinda wished the location was more lively with other businesses opening up such as bars or restaurants but other than that it’s fine.

So my first review was not very good and I had not gone back until now… And what a big change they made… I was very impressed! The staff welcomed us and the food came out right away. They weren’t stingy with the vegetables… looked beautiful and fresh. The meat was presented very well and the quality was much better than before. In fact, they offered us a free beverage… The winter melon tea is a must try!!! It tastes like sugar… And I love sugar… This is probably one of my fav(unauthentic) shabu shabu place because of the self service dipping sauce section, it’s clean, never too packed, and the price is decent.

This place was one of my favorite places for hot pot. I was going here about once a month. Last night was not a good experience for me and my girlfriend. We usually get the XL plate USDA prime beef and some extra sides to share. The beef usually comes with a side of vegetables with no charge. The waitress accidentally put the side of vegetables on our table and then took it away. She apologized and said that this was a recent change from her management and the vegetables need to be ordered separately. Then she came back about five minutes and told us that we cannot share the XL plate of beef and that my girlfriend would have to order her own plate of meat. Keep in mind that it is not AYCE. So we were forced to buy separate plates of beef and sides. This was not a great experience especially when we are repeat customers. Why would they force us to buy separate small plates of beef and not allow us to share our food? Most likely because it seems like they are having issues staying in business and will do anything to make a quick buck. As for the food, it was decent overall. The sukiyaki soup was over salted, but it’s not much of a big deal. This place just lacked good customer service and overall experience. Due to the bad experience last night, my girlfriend and I are no longer customers.

We visited Kingswood Fusion Pots for the $ 9.99 lunch special. After looking at the menu and being extremely hungry(as always) I opted for the medium sized portion, with fried rice, combo broth, which amounted to about $ 19.99. Was it worth it… heck yes! It was still cheaper than another shabu place that is located nearby. I ordered the combo broth with half miso and half mala. Be careful with the mala because it is HOT. There are three levels: regular, medium, and hot. Initially, I ordered the hot, but the waiter recommended medium. Although I reluctantly took the waiter’s advice, I am glad I did. The medium was almost too hot, but it was delicious. In regards the meat and vegetables, they were fresh and plentiful. At the end of the meal, they serve a small desert that contains syrup and tapioca… it was delicious. I can’t wait to go back to Kingswood, but I will get the mild mala!

This has been one of my favorite«fusion» shabu hot pot spots for awhile. The fusion part means the variety of soup choices you can choose from, unlike the traditional Shabu Shabu which is a basic clear broth. Here are some of the reasons why I like it here: –The soup bases are never too heavy or salty(I’m thinking about Jazz Cat). It has just the right flavor for you to cook your food items. The Miso soup base is great for pork and the noodles. If you like spicy get the Mala soup base, which is a savory broth made with loads of chili and chili oil, great for beef and beef balls. The manager told us they don’t want tons of soup choices because they don’t use powders to make it, everything is made from scratch. Keeping the choices low allows them to keep everything at a high quality. You can do half-half and pick two different soup choices. –The meats are at a great quality as well. Nice fat to meat ratio on the beef. Great flavor. Same with the pork, tender and delicious. –Little to no wait! Easy to find seats at the bar or a table during weekdays. Tips: make your own sauce dishes at the sauce station. I recommend 1 bowl of cilantro and green onions, then fill it with white vinegar. This is great for the spiciness of the Mala broth. Then a 2nd bowl with the Chinese BBQ sauce, soy sauce, splash of sesame oil and cilantro for your all around sauce. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday they offer all-you-can eat for $ 19.99. With all the sides you want as well, which they usually charge extra for.

Each time, the thought of hot pot, the first one come out in my mind is here. No like traditional hot pot, in here I can create individual pot with 2 different soup broth, pick soup broth such as spicy, miso, veggie, kimchi… Not only soup broth, also make own sauce from variety of sauce bar. I am a spicy hot pot fan, and my favorite combo is spicy and house broth what a good match! I like food here, high quality meat and fresh vegetables, relaxing atmosphere and nice service! They have all you can eat during weekday night, so I go when I crave a whole bunch of all you can eat menu. At this moment… I think I will have pot tonight!

I LOVE Kingswood! Kingswood Fusion Pots is affiliated with the Kingswood Teppan and Hotpot in Rowland Heights. Both restaurants are family owned, reputable, awesome, and are my absolute FAVORITE hot pot/shabu shabu restaurants. Other places just cannot compare. I do admit that the prices are higher, but the quality you’re paying for is definitely worth it! Kingswood Fusion Pots has a beautifully designed interior and very comforting setting. I just love the environment. Their desirable sauce bar is really creative too! After you decide on your entrees and sides for your hotpot, you migrate to the little sauce bar/cart which carries a wide and generous selection of different dipping sauces! I absolutely love it. It’s fun creating your own special concoctions. I always use: garlic, green onions, peanut sauce, bbq satay sauce, ponzu, and onions. Yummmm. I always order either the lamb or the usda prime beef plate and every plate order comes with a plate of delicious veggies. You get a split pot with 2 different broths(1 is the house broth and the other is your choice. However, if you want to pick 2 of your own broths, the charge is $ 1.50). They offer a wonderful variety of different soup bases to choose from; I have tried and liked the miso, teriyaki, tomato, mala(numbing hot), or the sour napa broths. I’ve enjoyed all of them and there are still many others to try! Also, to supplement your meal, I highly recommend that you order a side of their fried rice… seriously one of the best fried rice I’ve ever had! From personal experience, the service has always been excellent. I’ve never been disappointed! Ohhhh, for dessert, I highly recommend their coffee jello… it’s SO goood! Come to Kingswood! Hope to see you there sometime!

This new chinese hotpot place is tucked into the side of a not very busy street mall in this town. You can see it’s teppanyaki franchaise right at the corner of the intersection but park at the lot and walk in and you’ll find this little gem. This place is pretty similar to Jazz cat in terms of food and style. They don’t have the T-rex where you get to have more meat and less veggies, but I think the portion for the price is pretty comparable. We didn’t go for the lunch special but instead went for the prime and the angus beef and it was pretty good! They have the dual broth pots which are nice and you can get the house broth with a special broth. IF you want 2 special broths its $ 1.50 extra. They have the sauce booth where you get to mix and match your own sauce which I love especially because they have copped daikon radish and garlic and cilantro. Mmm mmm mmm. Next time I’m in Chino area and wanted hotpot at a restaurant I’m staying in town coz I’ll be coming here :) ===================== 1 star — «will be telling everyone to stay away» bad 2 stars — it’s okay, i won’t return 3 stars — it’s okay, i’ll come back 4 stars — it’s pretty good, i’ll come by again! 5 stars — it’s really good, my go-to places!

I’ve tried Kingswood at a different location a while ago… like a long long time ago, and I remembered it was good… so on the way from Big Bear hungover and tired af, my homies and I used our trusty Unilocal and found this Kingswood location in the middle of weirdville. Such a crackin’ hot pot spot in the middle of a dead plaza. FELLINLOVEWITHTHESAUCEBAR. I went crazy and made like 2039840 different sauces. They have everything. vinegar, soy sauce, sesame, ponzu, garlic, onions, green onions, satay, radish… everything!!!(except hot drops :(!) Oh and did I mention they offer you TWO broths? You get a pot with the divider in the middle: one side for their house broth and the other for your choice! I chose sukiyaki, but my friends got the Japanese curry. and later admitted that my sukiyaki was way more on point They offer a bunch more… ! You have a choice of paying a little more if you don’t want House so you can pick two. For meat, I ordered the 6oz. rib eye medium because I was deathly starving even though the 4oz. house beef for $ 10 would’ve definitely sufficed…(such a good ass deal for shabu!). The meat is fresh and delicious and the meat is cut differently. When my order came out, I was like, wtf looks tiny… but little did I know, there was a big food coma comin’. The meal comes with an extensive veggie plate… offering more than the usual! The squash was delicious! and a bowl of white rice(no brown rice offered :(!). Definitely a bomb ass hot pot spot. If only it wasn’t in the middle of nowheres I’d probably be back. If you live in the area, you have to be there. At least once a week. Haha jk. BUT I did see a sign that said AYCE for $ 20 on Wednesdays/Thursdays… DOIT! DOITFORME!!!

3.5. My esthetician directed me to Kingswood, and I bit because she said something about an all you can eat for 19.99. I had my little one and younger cousin(14 yrs) with me for our weekly girly date night and we were ready to eat. Didn’t opt for the all you can eat cause I figured I’d have to share with the two girls. Instead got the large usda prime with the spicy mala and miso broths, got them the fried rice and gyoza as well. The sauce bar was cool. Different options to add some zing to your veggies and meat. Kids seemed to thoroughly enjoy the gyoza and fried rice too. The meat came out looking nicely portioned, definitely good quality but what really killed me was the broths. I didn’t fancy either one and I found myself overcompensating with sauce — there was something a bit off with the satay and sesame sauces. I ended up ordering another 4 oz of beef cause the squirts were hungry this time. Overall, not bad, I’ll be back again soon.

Finally popped my Kingswood cherry! It seemed simple enough: chose your broth, then your protein, then get your dipping sauces ready, start cooking, and enjoy! Of course, it didn’t end up that way. After listening to our server, we thought we knew what to do. That was until the broth started to boil. Then, panic set in. There’s something about boiling water that makes me think I should act quickly. So, we ended up throwing everything they gave us into the mix. We would have thrown in the chop sticks, the glasses, and the napkins in the pot as well if it weren’t for the fact it was inedible. Haha! It was quite an experience! We selected the vegetarian miso and the teriyaki broth. The pot is divided in half to keep the broth separated. Sea food was our protein of choice and there was also vegetables and these delicious glass noodles, which for me was the best part. It was fun experimenting: throwing things into the pot, really not knowing how long items should be swimming in the boiling hot soup, and occasionally losing some items at the bottom. Fortunately, they give you many different kinds of scooping ladles to fish them out. Overall, the food was good but service was excellent. Our server, Jessica, was very helpful specially for newbies like us. She took the time to explain how the fusion pot concept works and she even made our first dipping sauce!
