Waited 40 minutes for 4 orders of Halo Halo. The manager was very rude when I asked why it was a long wait. He walked away while I was still speaking. I do give credit to our waitress, Regina as she tried to overlook that the manager presented himself as a jerk!

Very shocking experience with a filipino owned restaurant close to home. This is not our first horrible experience with this place but with today’s experience, we have had enough. We’ve given this place many chances but it does not seem to change at all even with different servers. I call in to order for pick up and the guy who picked up did not know the menu and every thing we asked for he continuously asked us what we meant to order when I have already spelled each item out. I would expect he would at least have the effort to look at their own menu if he had no idea what we were ordering. He also did not have a professional tone of voice throughout the whole conversation. He kept saying, «What?!» which I found very rude. Even then I kept calm and tried to understand he may be new, but it turns out he’s not. We come in to pick up to-go and we’re greeted with stuck up people right away. No eye contact and the place was not busy. There were only 2 tables seated. The to-go food more than an hour total. We ordered at 11:15am, we arrived at the restaurant at 11:45am(we were told the food would be ready between 25 – 30 min) and the food was not ready for us until 12:35pm. Not sure why the food took forever to come out and it was not even hot. They also ripped us off by only giving us 1 very small container of sinigang which usually comes with two containers with the meat(per the lady I spoke to on the phone). We only got soup for this order. I called to tell them that we are missing half of our order and they instantly gave me attitude. The lady that picked up passed the phone to another person while in the middle of our conversation, very rude and I had to repeat myself again. I asked if they can deliver the missing items and ofcourse they cannot do that even if it’s their fault. They proceeded telling me that the girl that put our order together forgot to include the big container of sinigang. So I guess they are not trained to double check that all items are accounted for before they charge you and take your money. I asked to be reimbursed for the missing items. We will see if they will actually do this. I am very shocked that this place is owned by filipinos. Growing up in a filipino family has always taught me that you can count on filipinos to give you the best service as we are hardworking, friendly and helpful people. I learned today from this place that this is not always true. Will not be returning to this place. If you do not care so much for the service and missing dishes in your order, by all means, please try this place out. I will not support a place like this.

This is a my favorite Filipino restaurant. Their food is really tasty, close to home. The pancit, halo halo, ginataang sitaw kalabasa, bulalo, barbeque, bangus, etc are really worth the drive. Only thing I am not satisfied with is the service. Not enough server to get your order and you really have to be patient waiting.

I gave this place 3 stars for their service and for their small portions and expensive prices. Let’s first start with the service: 1) They told my brother that they wouldn’t seat him until his entire party was there, although we were just trying to park the car. But as I ate, I noticed a lot of tables with partial parties. Their group came later. 2) We asked for water for everyone, but only got 3 glasses. 3) They provided a stack of plates and utensils for only 5 people, but we were a party of 6! 4) I wanted to order the cucumber salad and the talong(eggplant) salad, but the waitress said, «they(the cook staff) are really busy to make the cucumber salad, you think you can order something else?» What the heck??? Now with the expensive prices for small portions: 1) the talong(eggplant) salad with bagoong, tomatoes, and onions was $ 7 for ONE small eggplant! 2) the beef sinigang was a small pot of soup that’s probably good for only 2 people was $ 13. The good thing about this place, despite the small portions and less-than-great service, is that the food was really good. In addition to the beef sinigang and talong salad, we also ordered the pancit canton, crispy pata, and crispy diniguan. I’m Filipino, so I would know. But I wouldn’t go back here unless I was desperate for Filipino food and don’t feel like travelling far. Otherwise, I would go to West Covina where there are a number of Filipino restaurants/fast food places.

I’ve been coming to this place ever since they opened. Food is great, but their service has really fell off. They tend to want to talk amongst them selves instead of checking on the tables. Management really needs to shape up the waiters/waitresses immediately.

I don’t know of a lot of Filipino restaurants, so I don’t have much to compare this to, but I do know that I always crave it when I come back home! The prices are really fair for the portions, and the flavors are really good! They cook everything fresh and the quality of their food is more than worth the price! I RECOMMEND getting their inihaw bangus, lumpia, and pancit! But my FAVORITE is their Adobo fried rice! If you’re ever craving Filipino food this is the place to be!

The food is very good. The menu is excellent with lots of choices. I had their Tinola and it was excellent. I had their Spaghetti and it was good. And i also had their shrimp with mild sauce. It was good but not boiling crab good. They have ok service but they need to step it up in order to compete with the other restaurants in that area such as bj, lucille bbq etc. The location beats the hell out of many other filipino restaurants which is why I have high expectations for this place. So they should bring in the A game. Which means good and fast customer service.

My wife took me there to try the lunch special for $ 7.99! I wasn’t really in the mood for Filipino food at the time but l decided to give it a try. First off we were the first ones in the restaurant at 11:00 am. So we had our choice of tables and no one to great us, no problem. The restaurant is nicely decorated with a tropical kinda beach theme. Once seated our waitress came by and gave us the menus. I knew right away what I wanted based on the large picture in the menu. I choose the BBQ pork combo, my wife close the chix combo plus an order of Kare Kare on the side. While we waited for our food that’s when folks started to arrive. When the food came I notice the portions to be good, the pork BBQ was tender. The Chicken was also pretty good. The Kare Kare was also pretty tasty although I am not really a big fan of it I ate my share. She had me try this condiment called bagoong which is a shrimp paste on the Kara Kare Which was surprisingly good! Also a another condiment called Suka which was made of coconut vinegar, red chili peppers & whole garlic cloves, that was sprinkled in the BBQ. Tasty! Bathrooms were clean, arrive was ok, food was very tasty, would probably try this place again when I’m in the area.

Came here for lunch with my husband, It was my first time having food from Manila Bay. We order garlic rice(4 scoops more than enough for two) Pancit Bihon, Lumpia, Lechon Kawali and chicken/pork BBQ sticks. The food is delicious and the small serving size is good enough for two people. The waiter was very attentive and friendly and from the previous reviews that read their service has definitely improved. The restaurant was pretty busy. Overall great food and atmosphere.

Excellent authentic tasting Pacific Islander cuisine. Good to see a restaurant style, rather than the usual under a heat lamp style food. They make it when you order it and you can taste the freshness. They were very attentive to my family and even celebrated my lil guy(8yr old) birthday, with a lil cake baked in a banana plant leaf. Thank you and we wish many years of success.

It was my first time here. I came during lunch hour which made looking for parking difficult. There are other food places here such as BJs which share the parking lot. Also, there was construction going on for a new building that’s going up. I got the lunch special which was 2 chicken sticks, 3 mini lumpias, pancit, and a scoop of garlic rice. I also got an order of lechon kawali. The lunch special was $ 7.99 and the lechon was $ 11.99. I waited about 10 minutes and got the meal to go. While waiting, the restaurant was not as busy as I thought it would be for lunch hour. There was one waiter taking care of about 5 tables and another staff taking care of to go orders and making halo halo. Both staff were friendly and working diligently. The food was delicious and fresh. Only concern would be the one scoop of garlic rice. I wanted more especially being a hungry Filipino man. The lechon kawali was as crispy as you can make it. The chicken sticks were tender and easy to pull off the stick. I would definitely come again and possibly dine in to experience the service.

This place is definitely the comfort food for myself and my parents. I usually order the crispy pata, heart-blockingly delicious. I really like the sauce that it comes with on the side. If I would compare it to Green Banana Leaf in Chino Hills, Manila Bay’s sauce is a lot better(IMO). My mom always gets the bangus(fish) and my brother usually gets the bbq on the stick. We always usually come here and the food has always been good and consistent. Sometimes the service is lacking but the food makes up for it. I believe this place is still being supported because the amount of Filipinos in the surrounding areas. Manila Bay is delicious and everything is reasonably priced.

TIP: ORDERTAKEOUT! Most of the negative reviews are because of service, so take-out solves all of that! The food is actually pretty good. I recommend their –pork adobo friend rice –kare kare –crispy pata(but note, this is VERY heavy) –lumpia –halo halo –fried chicken I do NOT recommend their: –soup, any of them, they kind of taste weird –dining in.

We were craving Filipino food at our Corona office one day and Manila Bay being the closest one, we went with it. Some of my coworkers had eaten there before. We ordered via phone for a to-go order worth almost $ 100… Since our administrator was treating, he wanted us to call the restaurant to make sure he can put it on his credit card. We did and they said yes. We ordered 2 fried chickens, 2 pansit, 1 ginataan, garlic fried rice for 8 people, 1 sinigang, 1 bibingka and 8 bbq sticks. We sent someone to pick up the order and we called the restaurant to let them know. They in turn told us they CANNOT take a credit card payment over the phone. What?!? How did the policy change from 15 mins prior to when we were told in fact they do take phone orders? Unreal… So we had to let the person picking up the food know he had to charge it on his card and that he would be reimbursed. What a hassle! If the person who initially told us it was ok wasnt sure, they should have found out before taking our order from someone that actually knew what was going on. Pretty simple if you ask me. The pansit was ok. A little bland if you ask me. There was some shrimp but not enough. There were slices of pork but also not enough IMO. The bbq sticks were good. The fried chicken was good but it needed more flavor. It’s similar looking to what Max’s of Manila is famous for but the flavor just does not match. I didnt try the other 2 dishes but they seemed to be well received. I expect more from a sit down Filipino restaurant. It was ok and probably deserved 3 stars but the misinformation regarding credit card phone orders left a bad impression on me.

Came here today for lunch to try their«lunch special» and glad We did because everything tasted so good. We ordered the lunch platter with pork bbq, one with pork chop and the third one was with the bangus/milk fish. The service was also superb! Our waiter, Jun was very polite. We also tried the«buko pandan» dessert per his recommendation and it was delicious!
