This is going to be mostly a commentary on why you need good customer facing employees. I wish I caught the employees name who helped me but I’d have to say I have received quality service every time I’ve been in this location. What happened Upon entering the store the cashier confirmed that I had my flu shot and if I hadn’t I could get one their. Though kind of annoying, the annoyance is outweighed by the benefit to everyone. After I found what I wanted I went to check out. One item was insanely discounted 23 $ to 7 $ for pain pills. However the labeling in the store made it 50⁄50 likely that one packaging was on sale this was annoying however was quickly cured by the cashier noticing 1 that the item should be discounted 2 noticing the machine didn’t calculate the discount and 3 promptly correcting the error. As some one who has ongoing back pain and needs a supply of Advil at the same time on a fairly fixed income dwelt appreciates the attention to detail the cashier displayed. Rant: Employees like this should be paid more and they don’t need to come from increased prices but profits. They are the reason people like me will continue to go back. They both a customer and company advocate and have duties way beyond entry level monkey work. Simply dealing with the public is hard enough and to do it with poise and professionalism warrants reward whether it’s Walgreen or day a sales position at an investment firm /rant Service 5 stars. Product labeling 2 stars

«I see three. «this Walgreens always seems understaffed. The wait in line is often +5 people. Seriously? I’d rather just walk another block and go to Jewel Osco

I normally don’t see a point reviewing a Walgreens or any other national-chain drug store, unless there is a shout-out. Well, I do have a shout-out to declare. The cashier on duty at 0945 hour, on Thursday, February 26th. was nice and customer-friendly. Yes, yes that’s you. Please stand up and let us give you a round of applause! We were just there for toilet paper, but we accidentally found the Chicago Cubs scarves on sale for $ 5(originally was $ 7.99). Hey, the baseball season is starting in a month, so I better get my gears ready for some ball games! That’s not my go-to Walgreens, so I will see you again while I can.

Worst walgreens I’ve been to in a while. I went in to buy an Arizona drink and literally waited 20 minutes in order to pay for it. I literally Frank the whole can before I paid for it.

So I only live a couple blocks from this place so I’ve been in quite a few times. If I had to describe this place I would have to call it a terribly managed joke of a business. I come here at least once or twice a week and almost every time there’s a line of at least 5 people waiting to check out. I’ve wanted to use the photo center there but waited over a few minutes for someone to help me so I left. There’s usually someone leisurely stocking clearance items while the cashier is in the weeds. During my most recent visit, as the cashier is chipping away at a line of at least 6 people the manager is using the loudspeaker to summons another employee up front with a broom because it’s «dirty up here.» The unnecessary use and lack of tact the manager used was ridiculously unprofessional. My list of complaints about this place is ongoing. When possible I will definitely be going out of my way to not shop here.

The pharmacy staff here is, IMHO, wonderful. Patient, willing to explain everything to you, and all while keeping the wait reasonably acceptable. The rest of the store just, well… sucks :(I go the extra distance to the Walgreens on Kedzie & Irving.

I don’t get sick very often but am just getting over being sick. I went in to the pharmacy a week or so ago to pick up a prescription and there was some sort of problem with my insurance and it showed like I owed them over $ 300 for my medicine. I was super sick and at the end of my rope. They calmed me down and figured it out for me so I went home with my medicine pretty quick. They were very nice to me even though I wasn’t exactly calm or easy to deal with. Thank you for being good to a sick, cranky white guy. The girl even suggested I get two bottles of water and drink one and put one on my neck to cool me down. I don’t think she charged me for the one I drank because I was so sick. I feel like I should go back in there are say thank you proper.

This place sucks, you can never find basic supplies, particularly kitchen related items. The last time times I went here I asked if they sold a certain product and both times I got responses where they clearly had no idea and did not have the time to check for me. The management of this store is to blame for the lackluster service in this store. Not to mention the giant lines that always seem to form at the front, «I see three» anyone? Having worked at a Walgreens in Lakeview I know what Walgreens expects from their stores and this one clearly is not up to par.
