This place blows. I got dragged here by the boyfriend of a friend of a friend on Friday because he had heard that some supposedly good DJ was playing that night(I didn’t ever get the name of the DJ, nor am I sure he was actually there). The four of us get to the place and pay our $ 3 cover to get in. Between the front and back rooms and the basement, on a Friday night, I saw, literally, less than 20 people, probably about 15. Are you kidding me? And you’re going to CHARGE for this? If this DJ was supposed to be so great, why the hell is this place as dead as you’d expect for a Tuesday night, except at like 12:30 on a FRIDAY? And even if the DJ wasn’t some famous crowd-drawer, what the hell is wrong with your club that this is as full as you can get it on a weeknight? Really? Maybe because you’re in a shady-as-balls-looking area? Maybe because you just suck? I don’t know. Also, the bathrooms on the main floor(I don’t actually know if there were bathrooms in the basement, or in the other room on the main floor) are single-occupancy, and when my friend and I tried to use the girls’ room, the door was locked, so we used the guys’, since there sure as hell wasn’t a line with that crowd. Unfortunately, two guys(or one, twice) succeeded in opening the door on us — good to know that when no one’s in the bathroom, your locks keep us out, and when someone IS in the bathroom, your locks don’t keep everyone else out. I strongly urge anyone looking to go to a club to please dear god GOANYWHEREELSEINTHECITYTHEREISNOREASONTOEVERPAY $ 3TOGETINTOTHISPLACE, ORTOEVENGETINHEREFORFREE.

Tini Martini Ultra Lounge is clearly a venue in the midst of trying to redefine itself. In reading past reviews, it seems to be a spot that was less than awesome due to sketchy crowds, bad sound systems and huge covers. In fact, I’m pretty sure that no one has entered this bar, oh wait, Ultra Lounge, in ages because the last Unilocal review is over a year old. A dear friend has been working with this promotion group that did an event at Tini Martini last week. While yes, the crowd was pretty small, I saw a lot of potential in Tini Martini Ultra Lounge. It’s in a great location right next to The Congress(hello afterparty!) with ample street parking and non-zoned parking on some of the neighboring side streets. My gut tells me that the bar relies heavily on different promoters to bring in DJs and entertainment, so depending on who’s DJing or whatnot, the vibe could totally change. Bottom line? If you know a promoter you like is doing an event at TMUL, you should check it out. I see this joint as a bar in flux. It’s working on redefining it’s image, so I think it’s a 3 star venue with definite room to improve.

Walked into Tini Martini and Too Short was on stage doing a little mini concert!!! Gotta love a place like that! Average cover charge, good drinks and GREAT music in all THREE rooms! Will go back for sure…

Its a cool little spot, music was hot and we found parking in the lot next door. Had to pay a small cover because it was after midnight. They crowd was nice, I just hate super wasted thunder kats, they don’t know how to hold their liquor.

Mind Numbing! … If this isn’t a Teeny Bopping Beep Bop of a Place. I don’t know what it is. And this is my speaking when I’m a bit Buzzed! I went out with a couple of girlfriends for drinks. Umm. I’d rather buy a bottle of Gin and Tonic out of the bottle for $ 2.50… and sit on the corner and pour myself a glass …. the music was LOUD… the kind that sounds like the speakers are busted ….

My wife stumbled into this place after a late night out on the town. We figured we would have a martini and call it a night. When we got inside I was slightly shocked that it was 100% black crowd. Don’t know why, but I just wasn’t expecting it. One drink(expensive) lead to another drink and before we knew it the second room opened up and the party really started. Overall. The music was great, both rooms had DJ’s spinning. The people were very nice and friendly. We made a few temp friends. We plan on going back one of these night, the mood has to be right though. I would encourage people like Chris U. to go inside with an open mind at meet some of the people, you might make a new friend.

Maybe it’s b/c I went on the Sunday before Labor Day, but I had a pretty damn good time! Let’s be clear, this is not meant to be a huge club scene place. I feel like the name is pretty clear about that, words like«Tini» and«Lounge». From my experience, it seemed like there were 2 «rooms» for dancing. The first one you walk into, seemed like a more chill, laid back kind of dancing vibe. The bar was easier to access here, so I was down w/Tony @ the bar. The second was through glass doors that helped keep both rooms of different music not conflict w/each other. This room had an amazing reggae and hip-hop DJ goin, kept me moving pretty much the whole nite. Drink price-wise, decent! I dunno where you have gone, Andre W., but a LIT for $ 10 is STANDARD anywhere, be it a restaurant or bar. My jack and diet was $ 6, so I was happy. So yeah, perhaps I need to venture back on another night so I can see this horrible version that everyone else seems to see. Maybe Saturday is just not the night to go!

I wish I could give zero stars. To be frank, I’m only Unilocaling about this place because I’m bored at work and I need something to bitch about. I’ve only been to this place once(think back in like, 2006) and I definitely made sure to get kicked out to insure never coming back. This place is disgusting. Lot’s of gross people wearing gross things. GROSS!

Checked this place out once when a loser ex-girlfriend invited me here. The bouncers were picking and choosing who should pay and who should not pay to get in. I told them I was there for the b’day party, which was free and they thought they were gonna tell me to pay. I called my ex, who was inside and I told them what she said(the party was free). They let me in finally at no charge. They had two televisions behind the bar in the first room. The second room was another party, which looked to be filled to capacity. I ordered a long island iced tea, which was $ 10. I knew at that moment I would be sober for the rest of the night. I was afraid to ask how much anything else cost after that. The DJ was great, but the price of drinks started to bother me. I decided to leave(main reason being my ex was a complete idiot that night, but thats another story). Maybe one day in the far future I will check this place out again.

This place makes me laugh, cry, laugh and then cry again. It is crowded and tacky. There were Malibu rum dancers running around the too packed small space. Yes Malibu rum! I know. Does Malibu deserve to have its own set of feather topped albeit tacky dancers? no! drinks were listed as one price and we were charged another… 30 min in line for the bathroom! uuuuuugggg just no!

Went back recently on a Saturday night. Celebrating a friend’s birthday. I arrive just before eleven. Good music playing already, half full. Looks promising. My friends hadn’t arrived yet so I left to meet up for drinks. We head back there a little after midnight. No line outside, she called ahead so we can get in free(regular charge is $ 10). Still looks promising. PACKED! WAY too crowded. AWFUL. The music was great and we wanted to dance, but there wasn’t even enough room for a head bob. Seriously. We were sardines. Get a clue, bouncers. Nobody likes the«one-in, one-out» rule, but letting in 200 people when you have room for 100 is a serious fire hazard. Plus, absolutely no fun. Nobody wants another E2 disaster. That might have been my last visit.

The martini’s were as they should, strong as fuck… I’ve only been to this place one. I thought we had good service. I don’t know if it had something to do with a big tip I left on our first round of drinks. I’m not much of a club goer, but I have been to several bars and this place seemed okay.

First time I came herewas in April to support my ex bf who was spinning there that nite. So to start off I couldnt find the place cuz its so small. I walked passed it twice before I finally noticed it. Music was good I simply dont know how to dance to it. lol. The bartender was friendly but she didnt want to make my drink. She kept pushing this other drink that didnt call my attention. In the end I just let her make me whatever she wanted. Dance floor is very tiny but there are two different rooms of music. The place is simply too small and hidden.

Awful, seriously the worst place i’ve been to in a long time. I had zero expectations coming to this place, because I knew it wasn’t in the best area. All I wanted was a decent martini and some good music. We arrived, got slapped with a $ 10 cover charge(who do they think they are???), which for girls included a manicur and 2 martinis. For guys it didn’t include anything… Not only was the manicure station closed, but our martinis were very SAD… watery cranberry juice does not equal a cosmopolitan… you’d think a «martini ultra lounge» would pride themselves on making a good martini. There is mandatory coat check for $ 3 too, enforced by some giant bouncer that barks at you when you enter. Give me a break! Seriously, I will never go back and I’ve made it my mission to telle veryone how awful it is. Don’t go there, awful awful awful.

i must admit that the name is very catchy. TM was a decent bar with two small/medium rooms. i enjoyed the music tonight. my newfound friends are friends w/the dj’s. they played(new york) house and althogh it was a small turn-out, the company that i was with made it a real good time. we went right after our martial arts practice, so we figured that we would treat our bodies after we had an opportunity to pulpen our muscles in an attempt to beat one another to near-death. i ordered a cap morgan ‘n coke… i have yet to meet a bartender that screws that one up. =P overall, it was a good wednesday night.

I went to this bar about 2 weeks ago on a Wednesday for my friends birthday. I must say I had a good time. Yes the bathrooms suck… and I was too scared off by the big bouncer to try the other side of the place… hahha We went with a big group of friends though, so we made it fun. It’s pretty small and not much room to dance, but we got there fairly early and were able to grab a nice table by the bar. There isn’t much room to sit either, so you have to get there early, unless you want to stand /dance all night long. It was mix of different people that night, didn’t really notice anything out of the ordinary. There was no cover that night… so that was a plus. The music was good… all recent stuff that I recognized. We made a request to the DJ and he played it for us. I had a dark chocolate martini and it was pretty good. Also, had a cranberry and vodka and way too much ice, but every place does that. Can’t really complain too much for coming for the first time, other than the bathrooms. Might consider going back… I think it’s worth checking out.

This place is basically creepy with a few redeeming qualities. I like this place because the layout is cool. Two rooms with sometimes two very different djs playing. i hate this place because the douchiest people go there. But last night the drinks were cheap($ 3 well) and I think they were giving out free sparks before I got there, which is cool. And a great DJ(from the band assassins) was what brought me there. Still can’t get over the bad crowd though. Not that I always want to be at a crazy hipster bar, but just not surrounded by creepy guys who stare.

damn Mario! Tell them to turn it DOWN! So my ears are still ringing after Tini Martini last night, but overall it’s a happenin’ spot. Saw Glenn Underground last night and had a good time once people started DANCING… Tini Martini has two rooms, one for house, one for hip-hop/techno whatev… Bring yer earplugs and your dancing shoes and make sure you go to the bathroom early(or else you will never get in…) Then head over to Golden Nugget post-dirty-sweaty-dance-state and get your moooo on with the Dungeons and Dragons crowd…(lol to QJ… mooo sucka!)

Thursday, Friday and Saturday — all have been exactly what I expected. World renown local DJ’s. I don’t drink martini’s so I don’t care if they’re good or bad, I like the simple plain bar style, plus the two rooms are an awesome separation for two genre’s of music spinning at the same time. Two drawbacks: TOOLOUD. Please turn it down a bit. just a LITTLE please. And, the front and back bar charge differently for red bull & vodka, so buy it at the front bar and then head to the back room for the music.
