This place is HORRIBLE. Most of the time there is a huge line and it takes forever, however, this is common in a Starbucks. Besides that, I have been over charged on my card before($ 6.57 for a bottle of prepackaged juice) and then today… they told me they were«out of iced coffee»… it’s Stabucks coffee and you are out of iced coffee??? Then I ordered a different drink and went to pay with my Starbucks card and they told me that their«system was down» so I couldn’t. The guy who ordered before me asked for almond milk and they said they were out. Yo, what else… WORST location.

Wow — Seriously. As a Chicago Starbucks afficionado and former Starbucks employee, I’ve never seen it this bad. On my first visit, I stood in a super long line during the morning rush while 4 or 5 employees did??? So I opened my book. Then, about 8 – 10 minutes into my wait(no exaggeration), as I’m still a good 8 people away from the counter, in the back of mind I register people are yelling — angry, not just loud. I look up at the barista(s) and get a «Yeah! You reading the book! What do you want?!» Like I was the rude one not realizing that I’d be shouted at when they couldn’t move through a line quickly! When I got the register, I still had to go back through my order and the woman at the register actually wanted me to confirm that I had placed it — so you yell at me across a room and then act like I might have been irresponsible enough to make it to the counter without shouting back? I actually went back the next day and it was worse. While I was there, they screwed up 3 orders, yelled at 2 customers, and a woman actually tried 3 times to get a refund when they weren’t making her soy-based drink. She had been waiting over 10 minutes and they would neither rush her drink nor issue the refund! On the completely other side of the issue, on the first day, my Grande tea was more expensive here than any other Starbucks I’ve frequented in the Loop or anywhere else in the city! On the second day, my skim mocha was so scalded I tossed it on my way to work! Burnt milk sucks; burnt milk at some of the most expensive prices in an expensive city is just adding insult to injury! I just don’t get it! This whole morning crew needs either retraining or just to be tossed! Sorry, but their rudeness and simple inability to run a coffee shop at 8:30 in the morning is ridiculous!

I like my hot chocolates hot and chocolate. I got that, but here the frill is gone. So many things have gone wrong during my trips here to make me go out of my way to a different Starbucks a lot of times. They have a credit card minimum. They don’t accept Starbucks rewards. If you’re a Starbucks gold member you don’t get free tea refills. Their hours are pretty limited as far as Starbucks go. Go to the one farther west on Dearborn. Better service and all around people. If you’re a simple joe, it’s good for a cup of joe. No frills.

Wow. disgrace to the Starbucks name. I was charged a Trenti price for a grande green tea lemonade and they asked me twice if i wanted it sweetened, i said politely, yes please. #wasntsweetened Also noticed that a lot of Starbucks workers(including this one) in the chicago area talk WAY too much to coworkers. Obviously i support good working relationships and think they are important to have in any successful workplace. But not when there is a line out the door, you can talk about your dinner plans with hubby later and how he doesn’t eat fried food because it makes him gassy. You work at a coffee shop and provide customer service, meaning the customers come first not your coworkers. Attention to detail is also lacking because they’re concentrated on how many onions to put in their sauce, than making your overpriced Delicious beverage. Avoid this one if you can, if you cant be sure to write a bad review like this one. Hopefully they will hire competent workers in the near future. But then again doesn’t really matter, I wont be coming back.

My 1st bad review on something, that too on Starbucks[My fav otherwise]. This is the worst Starbucks store. Their service was very slow. Staff were rude. Even for a cup of water, they told me go to cashier and register. And they were out of Caramel Syrup !! and Choco chips too. How can you have Caramel Frappé without Caramel on top !!!

Have to join the bad review club for this location. They messed up my order and proceeded to have 3 people standing at the computer to tell me that it says they were right. No «sorry, I must have misheard you.» No apology at all. The opposite in fact, an accusatory attitude. Like I’m lying about a latte.

Good service in hotel Starbucks. They got the coffee out pretty quickly, if not as fast as a stand alone Starbucks. Staff was helpful with scone choice and a bag.

Should have read the reviews before coming here. Absolutely accurate that the place is understaffed. The staff that is here has no sense of urgency or desire to make the experience any better. I think Starbucks HQ would be disappointed.

Staff is slow, spending much of their time listening to each other and watching versus proactively taking orders or prepping work stations. Staff physically walks at a snails pace, and offers no energy or customer service.

Not what I expect from a Starbucks. The staff began my experience with«I got frappuccinos out my ass.». Which would have been funny if they didn’t then screw up my order and have me waiting for 8 minutes.

For a Starbucks, tends to be a bit of a mess. I’ve been in a couple of times, and there are always 5+ employees behind the counter; yet I often find myself in a line of people waiting for a cashier to take our order/money. The service tends to be slow and indifferent; and while the orders rarely come out wrong; not the basic Starbucks experience you expect. The Jimmy Olsen of stretchy superheros, there are many other coffee options within a few blocks you’d be better-served at.

HORRIBLESTARBUCKS. Do not come to this location. I went here 3 times(proximity to Hilton) in 1 week at it was consistently bad each time. After waiting 20 minutes to order I get to the counter and it attitude of the worker was awful. She made me feel like I was an annoyance and a burden. She greeted me with«what do you want?» I ordered my drink(Oprah chai tea latte). Waited for 8 or so minutes for my drink to be called(they did not write names on the cup like many starbucks do) after waiting 10 minutes for my drink I get up to go see what’s taking so long. The male barista had sat about 6 drinks on the counter with out calling them out. I had to then figure out which now cold coffee was mine. Coming from Seattle is was one of the worst experience I have had. Thankfully I was on a business trip and won’t be back anytime soon.

This Starbucks is the worst. Not just as a one off bad experience, but as a long term sub-par location. The crew around the corner on Harrison knock it out of the park day after day and makes it hard to feel sympathy for this place. Seems like they’re not getting the resources they need to compete.

Worst Starbucks ever! There are times where there are huge lines and only one worker is actually working, and the others are standing around looking at their phones. They also don’t listen carefully to your order. One time, I asked for a chocolate chip cookie, and they gave me oatmeal. Yeah. Horrible.

Slowest Starbucks in Chicago. Really, it’s super slow. Like, for real. Take my word on it.

Rude morning workers today. I tried calling ahead to order 2 coffee carafes to go and had no answer. Once I arrived the staff was rude about coming during the morning rush. Their manager had to tell the staff to «shut their mouth about my order.» as a past Starbucks employee, I understand the rush, don’t work here if you can’t handle it.

Wow, does this place give Starbucks a bad name. Poor attitudes, bad service, no breakfast sandwiches, and my drink never came. I had to tell them my drink again and no apologizes. Won’t be back here since it’s not the only place in Chicago to get coffee. Looking at the other reviews of this Starbucks, they are consistent… at being bad.
