Typical service for a Starbucks. Some friendly, others snotty and brief, like they just graduated and just waiting for a better gig. Starbucks coffee is pretty good, the pastries generally excellent but the pre made sandwiches suck. I give all the Starbucks the same three stars. Yawn…

You have some free time or you need to work a bit, come to the Starbucks. I really love their Late, they put some magic there for sure. So tasty deserts. Like the atmosphere, like at home. Thank you

I’m gonna have to agree with the others: cute store and decent spacing, but it’s crawling with homeless campers. Plus, this location is only a hop skip and jump from one of the more seedier sides of Uptown, in my opinion. Be careful. They out here. Folks are really out here looking for answers in innocent folk pockets. Dont mess around over here. I would advise that you just try the Starbucks in Lincoln Square — a lot safer. Barely any sketchy folks. But if you’re yearning to get a frap whilst waiting amongst unsavory types, knock yourself out, just dont say you werent warned. Bye!

Efficient and friendly service, and it is a very comfortable space. One of the better Starbucks…

Still one of the best Starbucks I’ve been to. I used to live down the street from this Starbucks and went there quite regularly. Although I still cringe at the thought of the cold, I have fond memories of grabbing a tall coffee with soy or a vente vanilla latte with soy and chugging down coffee while I figured out what the hell I was going to do with my life. They even gave me a free coffee a couple of times, just for being a regular customer. Maybe that’s a corporate thing, but it still felt genuine. Keep it classy Starbucks-Magnolia.

I can’t believe that I’m writing a review for Starbucks. You pretty much know what you’re getting with Starbucks… no point in reviewing right? That’s what I thought until I received the rudest service I have ever encountered anywhere. The only reason that I’m giving this 2 stars is that the coffee was made well. I went in on the 4th of July with my husband. As we were waiting for our drinks to come out, we watched as our barista juggled his tools, threw milk from across the area into the trash in a showy/half pissed off way. No big deal. Next though, he proceeded to throw my drink to me… seriously. He slid it at me with such force that if I hadnt been ready to catch, it would have been on the floor. Anyway, this is all annoying, but here’s what happened next: my husband kindly asked the barista«How’s it going bud?» Well, apparently someone was pissed off to be working on the 4th of July because he snapped back in a mega nasty tone with«my name is —- not Bud(he wasn’t wearing a name tag), I don’t like „bud“ and I’m doing well.» Then he threw my husband’s drink at him in the same manner that he did with mine, unreal. So rude! Hope this guy doesn’t have a job much longer. I’m half tempted to call a manager. Just because you don’t want to be at work doesn’t give you the right to sass your customers, BUD!

Great place for in and out service. Not one of the best Starbucks to hang out in but the baristas are wonderful people and make it a great experience.

Starbucks and I have a longer relationship than my wife and I. Starbucks was not only employer at one time, but also an enabler, as my one last remaining addiction(caffeine) I am able to indulge in. Yes, I am hooked on the black nectar(shut up), and will drink McDonald’s and Folgers if I am reduced to it by circumstance, I still have taste. That being said, I have developed an ability to find a Starbucks(or any other acceptably decent purveyor of my drink) near anywhere I go. This location(Wilson and Magnolia) is what I consider my home base. It is on the way to the wife’s work, so we stop in at least 4 times a week. No foo –foo lattes for us, just bold, with room, thank you. So the staff has seen us come in. A lot. So much that if we don’t come by for a day or two, they look concerned and ask us if we are okay. So much that if we vary even slightly from our usual, that are concerned. I know that we are conducting a business transaction. My soul for some sweet caffeinated bliss. But he staff are some of the best I’ve ever dealt with(and trust me, my «Starbucks Visited» best has more notches than belt now) the café is always clean and welcoming, and their patio is an oasis on Wilson in the summer.

I usually have nice experiences with the staff at Starbucks but not here. I went there a week or two ago and asked the woman working the register if they had salt for the salted caramel mocha. She looked around her in the area behind the guy making the drinks and said they did not. I thought it was strange that she didn’t just ask the guy who was making the drinks but figured she knew where to look. Since I was told they didn’t have the salt, I ordered a different drink. When I got my drink I asked the guy making the drinks when they would get the salt for the salted caramel mochas back in. He lifted up the bottle of the salt, which naturally was right by him since he was the one actually making the drinks(duh…) and showed it to me and said that they had the salt for the salted caramel mochas. As I suspected, the woman who told me that they didn’t have it just didn’t care enough to find the correct answer for me. Annoyed, I told the guy that that was the drink I wanted and would have ordered it had I not be given misinformation. Why has customer service gotten so bad over the years?!? He was nice enough to offer to make me that drink instead but I just decided to move on with my day, declined his offer and told him not to worry about it and that I was fine with the drink he made. Fast forward to today’s date. I go in there and walk up to the register to place an order. The woman behind the counter is carrying on a conversation with a customer as I am clearly standing there waiting to order. I thought it was a bit odd that she didn’t seem to even be trying to wrap up this conversation but was instead just continuing to go back and forth talking to this customer as if I wasn’t even there waiting for service. When they wrapped up there conversation, I approached to place my order. I didn’t even recognize this woman. I asked her if they had salt for the salted caramel mocha today. She then, in this passive aggressive tone says, «yes we do and the last time you were here I told you we didn’t and I heard you were upset.» Really??? It was clearly in a passive aggressive tone and she didn’t say anything even close to, «yes we do and the last time you were here I must have looked in the wrong place for it. I’m sorry about that.» No. Not at all. She just wanted me to know that she was not only unapologetic but also that she heard that I was upset. I knew instantly what nonsense she was playing so I didn’t respond at all to her other than to say, «yeah» and continued with placing my order. That was my way of letting her know that I didn’t care that she heard that I was upset because she’s incompetent and that she wasn’t going to intimidate me into saying something that she probably expected me to say like, «oh no! Not at all. I wasn’t upset at all! No worries!» :) After ordering my drink, I walk to the barista making the drink to wait. She hands it to me and repeats the order, which was incorrect. I told her what I ordered and then the attitudinal cashier loudly states, «I repeated the order.» I thought she was reprimanding the woman making the drinks and I felt bad for this woman being chastised publicly by her co-worker so I pulled out my receipt and realized that the woman working the register actually made the mistake, not the woman making the drinks. In my attempt to make the woman making the drinks feel better, I told her that it was ok and that the order was actually told incorrectly to her so it wasn’t her fault. The woman working the register then abruptly butts into our conversation leans over, looks directly at me and sternly says, «excuse me?» What is up with this angry confrontational freak?!? I wasn’t talking to you! Then the woman making the drinks says, «she said that she repeated the order.» That’s when I realized that the woman working the register wasn’t publicly chastising her coworker, she was publicly chastising me, the customer. Unbelievable. So in a nut shell, I get confrontational comments 3 different times in a 5 minute visit to Starbucks. Well good morning to me! Looks like the woman working the register isn’t a morning person and would probably be a better fit for the night shift. Geez!

I’m giving it a 4 for products and 0 for service. As a coffee lover I’ve been to many Starbucks over the years. This location hits an extreme low for service. I’ve been stopping at this location for the past two weeks as it is on my way to a new job. There are a few people working in the mornings who just refuse to greet a customer. I don’t get it. They just stare at you and you have to speak first. One time I just stared back and the woman seemed offended. Where are they learning this? Doesn’t management teach them how to act. There are plenty of other options for coffee in the area.

So, honestly as odd as this may sound I have lived here in Uptown for 8 years now and never stepped foot in my Neighborhood Starbucks before today. Now, I realize that Starbucks is like somewhere alot of my Unilocal Friends like to go in the AM as soon as they roll out of bed. maybe some still in their pajamas or whatever. anyway. I was impressed with my neighborhood Starbucks on Wilson and Magnolia, it was warm and cozy in there, had some wooden tables and a few really comfy looking chairs, I wanted to drag one of those suckers home with me it looked so comfy. Now, I did not come to Starbucks today for Coffee, Frappé’s, Frappacino’s whatever the hell those are or any thing other than a nice cup of tea. And the reason I did not come to Starbucks for coffee is because I had one cup of coffee when I was like 18 and hated it. Never had another cup since! Now, I get to the counter and asked the really nice guy for a large tea and he asked me what kind I wanted, what? I just wanted tea! Okay, these were my choices, Black Tea, Earl Grey, Green Tea. Now, I realize that Green is healthy and all that but to me it tastes nasty… So I went with the black tea which was pretty darn good! And, they had this case with pastries and stuff and I saw this Chocolate Croissant and it looked really good, light, flaky chocolate filled ahhh… So, the nice associate warmed it for me and boy, was that Croissant good! And, Starbucks offered my free Wi-Fi through AT&T, nice touch! So, I saw that Starbucks makes breakfast sandwiches as well and they have yogurts and bananas, nice healthy options. So, I like my neighborhood Starbucks, there are nice people/associates working there, it feels warm and cozy, and they make a mean cup of tea! But, next time I think I’ll get Hot Chocolate. I’ll give the Swiss Miss a Break, I’m just nice like that.:)

My favorite Starbucks location! Where others have attitudes and lines, Wilson and Marigold has a great staff with a welcoming hospitable greeting. Staff is knowledgeable and there is rarely a line.

Today’s review is based on the crap service I received on my second visit today. The rep wouldn’t allow me to get a refill and tried to charge me full price on my tea. I’m in here about 16x a week Monday through Thursday and this is the first time I’ve heard his policy in refills. He asked for my receipt to prove I bought the tea so I showed it to him and he crumbled it up. Very snobbish, I received my «thank you and have a nice day»… I certainly don’t pay outrageous prices for his crappitude and I’ll be searching for a replacement coffee shop if he doesn’t get his act together… There, I’ve venti’d and now I’m better!

Ahhh, my neighborhood Starbucks. While condo searching last weekend for my good friend from NJ, I asked what top 3 things he wanted when buying. Number two on his list was sadly a Starbucks within a 5 minute walk from his house. Well I can say that I have just that with my new condo, and it is pretty pleasant. While I try to support the local cafes like Baker & Nosh across Wilson, sometimes I can’t resist a tasty coffee concoction, outside of plain, black coffee. The steel oats oatmeal with blueberry and agave is absolutely delicious and has brought me back several morning prior to a long workday. Staff friendliness is hit or miss, but never down-right rude. Heck, I’m not a morning person either. While the interior décor is a bit cold and offers limited tables, this Starbucks reminds me of the gentrification and many open possibilities for my neighborhood of Uptown. The ivy growing up the exterior façade and the«safe zone» outdoor patio are all welcomed. While Uptown is rough on the edges, this is one place to escape the urban chaos with free wi-fi and solitude.

This is my new Starbucks. I miss my old Logan Square location, but this shop is still awesome. I am a regular(every morning) and all of the staff are super friendly. We chat, they know my order by heart and they’re efficient in starting it when I walk in the door(which is nice when I’m on my way to work). Lots of seating(that never seems packed), outlets for computer use and a nice outdoor patio. Dog friendly, which is a plus. I heart Starbucks, especially one with a ton of really friendly staff.

I relish the Starbucks corporation, so all stars go to the kind and down-to-earth staff at this location. Like many Starbucks locations in the wintertime, the room is large and cold to keep you moving along… or else buying hot bevvies to stay put.

Barista makes all the drinks i’ve ordered well, even things that arent on the menu anymore. The patio area is really nice. some of the other patrons can be a little rough around the edges. its an interesting combination of people studying, and people who just shouldnt be in a starbucks haha

For a Starbucks in the thick of the Uptown madness on Wilson, this one does a fantastic job. Cheers to the place for keeping open.

They did some work and cleaned it up to the status of a normal Starbucks– the restroom is still crazy dirty so they need to keep on that. Good job on the remodel.
