Have lived two blocks away for over a year but never went in until last Monday. The bar was slow(Monday night with below zero temperatures), but the hospitality was fantastic. Patrick, the owner, is the nicest guy you will ever meet and treated us extremely well. The bartender(she told me her name but I forget — she said she normally works Mon-Wed) was fantastic. We were having so much fun that a quick beer turned into 3 rounds. My friend and I left a $ 40 tip on a $ 40 tab, that’s how good a time we had. It isn’t gourmet food, but the drinks are strong, the beer list is decent and the service is amazing. I won’t wait another year before going back.

We stopped by a while back after a trip downtown. I was too tired to deal with the menu so I let the waitress give me a couple specials that were completely delicious. My friend ordered what was on tap and I drank wine. The place is really nice and we will be back!

The staff is very accommodating and friendly but the food is terrible. I don’t send a dish back more than once every couple of years but did last night.(almost twice). I actually suggested to my friend that we go to Paddy’s because the last time I was there… 8 months ago or so, the food was excellent. What happened?!

I want to like this place, as it’s local and the staff seems friendly. However, the last several times we’ve gone, they have been out of multiple beers and food we’ve ordered… consistently the same food items from time to time. If you’re no longer stocking those items, please remove them from the menu and run them as specials if you do have them. Even better, and a simple fix: tell the wait staff to inform customers of what is not available when they drop off the menus, so customers don’t review the menu, only to order something that is not available… repeatedly. It’s annoying and frustrating when the first 3 items I order, whether beer or food, are not available.

They have a lottery machine behind the bar. Nobody seems to «know how to use it.» Not many lottery locations in the neighborhood. It would be nice if the staff at Paddy O’Fegan’s could be more friendly and helpful. There seems to be a bad attitude among the staff at Paddy O’Feagan’s. I don’t dare let this bad attitude serve me food or drinks. Who knows? One might get poisoned!!! I was told to go half a mile out of my way, to go to the Seven Eleven to get a lottery ticket. Why have the lottery machine, if it’s too much trouble for the staff at Paddy O’Feagan’s to use it?

Don’t you love when you randomly find a place, and it turns out to be awesome?! My friends and I had been to brunch at Au Cheval, and decided to bar-hop a bit in the area before heading back to our neighborhood. Total bars in our bar-hop? One. Why? Because once we hit this place, we knew anywhere else would just be a disappointment. The bartender(Tess) was fabulous… the owners(Cathy & Patrick) were incredibly welcoming… they have TouchTunes(always worth a star, in my book), and everyone was playing music in the same kind of old-school/chill vibe… and I was introduced to the best Canadian Whisky ever invented(Revel Stoke Roasted Pecan Flavored Whisky). Can’t wait to hit this place for a Hawks game! Cheers!

Awesome beer selection. sweet staff… great space. The décor is well done, tin ceiling and wooden bar makes it very welcoming. In an area with many popular places, sort of a hidden gem. Check it out. Many tv’s for all sports fan.

A rare gem I discovered by accident. I was very pleased with the hospitality of Pat and Kathy who own and run the establishment. This is the kind of place where you can go and feel welcomed and at home. The food is way above what you would expect from a bar and the drinks are very generous. I will recommend this to my friends without hesitation.

Being from the neighborhood we like to support our local vendors but tonight was a real disappointment. My fiancé and I came here to play a game of golden tee, a staff member came up didn’t say a word and just unplugged the whole game. He claimed he was trying to turn off the«open» sign but as we walked out the sign was still on.

This is a good neighborhood bar. If I am in the neighborhood and am looking for a good place to go, then I will return. Otherwise, I don’t think I am making a trip back out like I did for burger week(and I don’t live too far away). If you are coming out for burger week, bear this in mind. The burger you think you are getting a deal for at $ 5, costs $ 5 every day of the year. And it is a good burger, but there is no special for the Unilocal event(at least that is what our server/bartndress told us). But like I said, it is a good burger. You just get a burger for $ 5 too. They also have the $ 10 variety burger if that is your thing and want to spend more money. The $ 5 doesn’t come with any sides, and the sides are pretty big, very shareable. Otherwise the décor is: Support our troops, support the hawks, support the fire. Good Irish bar.

It’s a nice little neighborhood bar on the edge of downtown. I would not describe it as friendly, but the Bulls were knocked out of the play-offs about five minutes after we walked in — so that might explain the sour disposition. One fantastic surprise: a $ 5 Moscow Mule prepared with Alcoholic ginger beer and served in a pint glass — very big and really good.

Came here with the sole mission of watching an NBA playoffs game and spending as little money as possible before dinner. Mission succeeded with a $ 5/pint special for Killian’s Irish Red. The staff was really friendly and changed the channel on one of the TVs to the game just for us(although we had to keep it on mute), and weren’t too pushy about us ordering drinks even though the bar was pretty empty. Plenty of seating inside for big groups! Also, there are electrical outlets on the walls in case you need some emergency charge in your electronic devices.

I have to share the experience my colleagues I enjoyed after a day on the convention floor while in Chicago for a trade-show. As out of towners, we wanted an authentic Irish vibe where we could watch a game. After Unilocaling it, we chose Paddy o’Fegans. What a great choice! It was a Monday night, so there were smattering of patrons, but that really allowed me to take in the décor– beautiful tilework, an antique looking bar, and fireplace that made me long for a book. We ordered Irish nachos, not on the Menu, but these guys did everything to accomodate. Huge portions, nice mix of traditional irish pub food and some surprising choices– please try the Canadian favorite Poutine, and their sweet potato fries are just perfect. Drinks are generous and very fairly priced. I am so mad that I didn’t take pictures-ugh! Patrick and Cathy with a «C» are my new favorite friends. They not only hosted a weary group of travelers, but treated us like family. I am on the plane leaving Chi-town, but now I have somewhere to return. Sláinte!

We were in town for my bachelor party and found this place by chance. We had an awesome time here and went twice. The new door guy is hilarious and the servers and bartenders are great. The beers were cheap $ 2 for a 16oz and mixed drinks were $ 5 and not light on booze. Just don’t give the blonde bartender a hard time about being a Michigan grad lol! Its a low key casual place so leave your skinny jeans or suit at home!

Great Irish pub with classic Chicago vibe. All the hockey and sporting events on HD flat screens and great music. The restrooms and bar are the cleanest I’ve experienced in Chicago! The food is phenomenal, and the selection of drafts paired with the classic and exclusive Irish whiskeys make this a must! I suggest their daily drink special and meet Paddy himself for a shot. Love this place!

Literally the WORST service I have ever had. I was with roughly 10 people and It took 2.5 hours to get 10 or so appetizers. They brought one out every 20 minutes and kept saying«the rest is coming out now». We asked the OWNER for something and she responded with«sorry I’m not the server». Are you kidding me? Where’s Bar Rescue when you need them?

Regarding the food specifically… You can ignore most all of the bad food reviews. Now that Nick and Dave have taken over, the difference is notable. These guys have a true passion for the food they create and wanting to ensure folks actually enjoy it. Nick’s St. Patrick’s Day Irish potato soup was incredible.

I love the great Irish pub feel if this place. I went for lunch and had the buffalo chicken wrap with waffle fries. First let me say that waffle fries should be the only kind of fries. They are so good here crispy fresh and big. The Chicken was great not greasy At all. It as filled with celery carrots ble cheese and a little bit of lettuce. If you are in the area I defiantly recommend this place.

Went in for dinner and drinks after work, and somehow our server Beth was incapable of Answering simple questions. Me-«How large the mimosas» Beth–«average size» me-«how much is this beer» Beth–«I have no idea» me–«can I have something comparable to the green line, since you are out?» Beth-«No» Me–«can you split the check please?» Beth–«how am I supposed to do that?» Sadly this is not a joke and very disheartening. This is the first and final time I will ever step into this establishment, yikes.
