Been going here instead of Tank Noodle for years. Mainly for the portion and the taste of the broth. So authentic and so good. Customer service can be a little be better but on a weekend you have to understand it can be packed. Combination phở is the way to go! Once you eat here you won’t be going back to Tank!

This place kind of downgraded. I used to live in the Uptown area. My grandfather would take me out here for a meal here. They used to be good. Now their food is just bland. I have to find a new spot for phở :(

Been coming here for years, long before their move to this current location. We prefer the Le’s Phở broth to others on Argyle and beyond. My GOTO dish is the Chicken Congee(Cháo), which is usually full of boneless, skinless breast meat. It’s the perfect soup on a dreary, cold Winter day. Consistently delicious, that is, until my most recent order last Friday. The meat(mostly dark, leg a/o thigh) was tough and chewy, as if from an old hen or rooster. It also had A LOT of unappetizing cartilage. I actually prefer the flavor of dark meat over white, but definitely NOT this time. I picked all of the very dark, gristle-y meat out. My dinner companion had the Wonton Rice Noodle Soup, which was good. We shared the Stir Fried Water Spinach w/Garlic, which was simple and delicious. Unfortunately, I will probably not order the Chicken Congee going forward because it was so off-putting. Also, we were seated close to the only TV in the restaurant, which had a basketball game on w/no sound. The problem was that the male staff constantly stood next to our table, presumably to watch the game. It felt like they were hovering, and NOT in an attentive or helpful manner. It was downright annoying and unacceptable. I asked one of the servers what he was doing, and he just shrugged and temporarily moved away. I hate that TV!!!

Le phở is my number one phở place to go to in Chicago. It’s a block away from tank which gets tons of attention, but personally I like the food at le phở much more. The portions are filling, and they don’t skimp on noodles or meat. The broth is perfectly seasoned, which gives me room to add Sriracha. Sometimes the place smells a little funky, but it’s just the smell of the phở so I don’t mind. They have a delicious spring roll that screams, «I’m fresh!» If you’re waiting around for your check and you get impatient, just go to the register and tell them your table number. You can just pay up front and head out.

Great inexpensive Vietnamese place. Happy to stumble upon it today after grocery shopping. Modern and clean inside and pretty busy. We had bahn Mi grilled pork sandwich in warm crispy French bread with veggies inside. Delicious and great price of $ 4.95. Also had Vietnamese pancakes with pork and shrimp with spring onions, bean sprouts and at the side lettuce, cucumber, mint and basil. Dipping sauce was sweet and sour $ 8.50 also delicious. My wife had two gigantic spring rolls with shrimp and pork inside and a spicy sauce $ 4.99. What a fabulous lunch will definitely be back to try the phở. Service was really good and friendly staff.

A friend took me here, and per his recommendation I’ve come back. Probably my go-to Phở place in Chicago so far. Large portions, generous amounts of meat, and it’s actually fairly clean in the establishment(a pleasant surprise compared to most cafeteria style phở restaurants). One litmus test I use to judge any good bowl of phở is how well they cook their tendon, as it is often underdone and chewy at many establishments. However Le’s Phở serves it up fantastically, as with the thin-sliced rib eye, and Bo Vien(Meat balls) which have all been reliably good. One of my friends actually didn’t finish the meat because she wasn’t used to the ratio of meat: noodles in the bowl. A good problem to have if any! They have a fully stocked menu of most fan favorites as far as vietnamese cuisine goes, but I’ve really only stuck to the Phở, which they make in quantity, and they make in quality. I thought it’d be difficult getting solid Vietnamese Food in Chicago(only been here two months so far), but Le’s Phở has fortunately proved me wrong.

I’ve come here a few time now this is one of the best places i go to get my phở on… I love it here the place is moderately spacious and the selection is various to select from the pricing is also not bad for the amount of phở that come along with it. I know there are a few other phở places in the area, but this is the 2nd best place in my rating to go get phở at when I’m up in Argyle.

Walked by a packed Tank into here to get phở without the wait. Menu was a bit overwhelming like every other viet place, but I stuck to the phở, which turned out to be a good choice. I got the combination bowl, which had a little of every meat. The phở was very good. Came with spouts and mint on the side. The broth was savory and not too salty. Service was fast — we got our food in about 5 minutes. A casual place to have a quick meal on the cheap.

I really like the food here but the service is pretty bad. The wait staff seems to just be there and I guess it’s the manager that takes your money always seems to have a look on his face like he’s annoyed. If you don’t mind the bad service, then the food is good.

Ordered my food and saw a roach on the way out of the door, INSIDE the restaurant. No, I did not turn around to return my food. No, I did NOT eat my food. I just wanted to get the heck away from this place. I was so scared that one might have been in the bag since I got right in my car with it. I honestly panicked and didn’t know what to do. I opened the bag and there was a raw piece of steak inside of a ziplock bag. What was I supposed to do with that? Is raw meat supposed to be inside the bag with cooked food? Did they expect me to go home and cook it myself? I will never go back. If there was a roach roaming around in daylight with people dining inside, I can’t even imagine what’s going on in the kitchen. GET A FREAKINGEXTERMINATOR! and don’t give customers raw meat. Food wasted and money down the drain.

A friend recommended Le’s Phở for their banh xeo and bun bo hue. We were able to snag a table quickly but customer service was quite slow throughout the entire meal. We ordered banh xeo(crispy, could have used more lettuce), bun bo hue(this was my first time ordering it but I wasn’t that impressed with the dish overall) and salt and pepper squid(very thick shell, not very salty). Although the place is very bright and clean looking compared to other places in the area, I don’t know if I would come back.

Service so slow, mildly friendly. There is a girl who runs around taking care of things and she is super friendly and seems to try to «get things done» for you. The main manager /owner who keeps a watch on everything can be friendly, but not always. He does NOT take care of clients with any sense of urgency. At all. He’s super slow. So if I want to add to my order or get my credit card processed, I try to get her attention, not his. Two items order repeatedly are the phở and spring rolls. The egg rolls are lacking flavor. I once tried a stew dish that was listed with with the banh mi and it caught me off guard because it certainly was not a sandwich! It did, however, come with the bread. So that was just me being non-Viet and clueless as to what I was ordering The stew consisted of a rich dark gravy with some root veg and meat bones. It was really flavorful, but the slew of bones, tendons and fatty sheets of «meat»(more fat than actual meat) was off-putting to me. If it had come with more of the root veg, I would have been satisfied, because that gravy was tasty! I really like their Phở broth; it is always good just the way it comes(no fish sauce needed) and the noodles always perfectly crisp tender. I’ve ordered it again and again… the only thing that stops me from stopping in more often is the service. It is just painfully slow, no matter how few or many diners there are. It’s annoying.

Pretty good spot for phở. Been here multiple times and it never disappoint but this place isn’t over the top with things. Although they need to be a little quicker with their customer service but it’s nothing too bad to be complaining about. Overall, it’s a good spot so it’s always my go to spot when I can’t decide where to go in argyle. On another plus side, they have their own parking lot so that is something to worry less about the meter.

Pinch me, I must be dreaming. Well lit? Check. Bright interior? Check. Clean? Check. This is a Vietnamese restaurant? No way! Most tourists will go to Tank, but this is where locals go. Not only does it defy pre-conceived notions about asian restaurants, service is pretty good and the food is wonderful! On top of that, they don’t overcharge for items on the menu compared to other Phở places. My wife and I ordered spring rolls to start, and I could tell they were made fresh instead of pre-made like other places taking shortcuts. The kitchen seems to be having a little fun with the scallion shooting out like a bookmark of sorts. Ordered a large bowl of phở and a rice vermicelli noodle bowl with grilled pork and egg roll, and both came out in a timely fashion. Each dish was well conceived and you could taste the care from each bite and slurp. I found my new go to Vietnamese place — hooray!

So far, so good Le’s Phở! I like how the owner decided to make the restaurant white and bright. You can actually see your food while you are eating. The service was fast and efficient. The spring rolls had some flair to it. A nicer presentation from what we are used to from other vietnamese restaurants. They also looked nice and fresh. We had their Phở and vermicelli noodle bowl with grilled seasoned beef. It was delicious! The broth was full body and the meat was sweet and juicy. I liked everything I had and I would recommend this place to get delicious Vietnamese food. Phở is great, and it is not as crowded as Tank. I cannot wait until we return here to eat with our family.

There are a lot of phở restaurants in the area but this one is has the cleanest space and the best iced coffee. The portions are the size of your head so you can definitely split your phở with another person. The beef salad is has a refreshing taste and is more of an entrée sized portion than an appetizer. Definitely coming back here

Le’s Phở has and will always be one of my favorite places to go when I have a craving for Vietnamese food. It didn’t even need all of the remodeling to lure me into this attraction because the food resonated perfectly with my taste buds and stomach. However, I am a fan of the new interior — very modern and appealing to the eye. This place has good phở broth. They give pretty big portions and for a reasonable price. I also love to order seafood noodles, papaya salad, spring rolls — basically everything. Their nuoc mam and spring roll sauce are perfection. I can go on and on about how good it is but I recommend that you go in and try it yourself. Everything just tastes so fresh. The service here is good too. They seat you relatively quickly and check up on you a few times to see how you’re doing throughout the time you’re eating. I appreciate service like that because it shows that they’re willing to make your stay memorable and a positive one(and also to get your money but that’s everywhere). With that being said, come get you some Le’s food!

The phở here definitely gives Tank’s a run for its money. The broth at Les Phở is more to my liking. I’ve also ordered an over rice dish and it was super tasty, although I feel like they skimped a little on the meat. BYOB, no corkage fee.
