Good To Go Jamaican Cuisine & Fresh Juice Bar

Definitely one of my favorite Jamaican restaurant in Chicago! Very nice people and great food. When busy, customer service can suck. I would recommend that if you’re getting pick up to place your order over the phone so that it could be ready.

Been coming here for years. Love this place. Oxtails, jerk wings, chicken and rib tips are my regular dishes. I’ve had the jerk chicken salad which was honestly a waste of money. I could just take the jerk and make a salad at home (which I do). Caramel cake is rich and amazing. You don’t want to eat the whole thing but you do anyway! It’s ok, just go to the gym and work it off. Defiantly worth it.

Wasn’t even fit to eat gave it to the dog!!! Disappointed and gross. Both orders tasted gross and seemed to have been recooked they were lacking flavor but full of grease.

Food was great and the portions were plentiful, u just can’t go wrong for your money. The jerk chicken is that authentic taste u been looking for with that tasty hotness the ambiance is very nice n cool with comfortable seating and our server was extremely attentive and sweet. Try that oxtail and jerk pork it was tha bomb

10 STARS OUT OF 5!!! Jerk chicken was perfect. Next time, I’m trying the ox tail. The staff: friendly, helpful and funny!
The food: perfect blend of spice without the unnecessary «heat», which is so prevalent in my dad’s chili.
The price: plenty of food for your buck!
Time to prepare: fast, but not too fast. Food like this takes time to get it this good! I’m no foodie, because foodies are morons. I eat food, and quality trumps presentation and posting photos of it to a social network. So pick up your phone to order from here, then put it down and eat.

They have great food and atmosphere. The Jerk wings and ox tails are addictive. Definitely try their soup, especially the chicken soup. All kinds of fresh squeezed juice and smoothies.
Always pleasant servers.

Curried Goat was good. Beware; management seems dishonest! We bought a $ 15 «restau​rant​.com» coupon 3 days ago. Management refused to honor the coupon! Prices charged on your bill are one dollar higher than prices printed on the menu! Jerk Chicken was a little under-​cooked but I didn’t get sick from it. Waitress delivered our dinners; we ate those then I went to ask about the side dishes we ordered. Those came right out after I asked.

I’m from Miami & I love Jamaican food! nothing ever seems to compare to what’s in Miami but this place comes close! fresh & tasty. I’ve only ordered delivery but each time I’ve ordered its always hot! my roommate is obsessed as well. keep it up guys!

I am sitting here eating this food and trying to enjoy it. What can I say? How should I say it? Well, I ordered the following: jerk chicken dinner with festival. The jerk chicken was good but the sauce (thank god I called back and changed it) had too much lime flavor. It was so much lime that I couldn’t even put it on the chicken. I as sad I didn’t get the jerk and fries like my friend. The rice was good but the gravy on the rice was low. Now in to the festival. Not good. It was still uncooked when I broke it open. Ate only the tips. This place is good no lie, but I never remembered my mom putting lime in her jerk sauce. I can’t say I’m happy about this meal. Everything was just lime. The plantain also was a bit raw. I wouldn’t have minded waiting a little extra. Idk I’m just not a happy camper right now.

The Mac and cheese is from a box… I was expecting a true Caribbean experience and cuisine. The portion was a lot… The best part of the meal was the music!

Love this place! I live in the neighborhood and this is one of my go-​to places. Not sure why the ratings aren’t higher. The jerk sauce is FANTASTIC and they have a great selection of meats and fish to choose from. I come here for take out and also eating in with groups. It’s rarely crowded so you shouldn’t have trouble getting a table. The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff are very friendly.

Really wanted to like this a lot, but didn’t work for me. Had the jerked chicken which was perfection. The corn bread tasted like it was a month old and had that bad old refrigerator taste. Yuck. The Jungle Juice was great. The candied yams were blah. The mac and cheese. c’mon ! how can you make it boring and super blah ?. Ok, I’m jaded but C’MON ! Get somebody’s grandmother’s recipe and you’re done !

Great food, however, bring your tablet and catch a movie. The wait is exceptionally long. Or you could maybe take a nap

This food was so good. It’s grilled (which is my favorite.) Parking in front but very tight. The mac and cheese was not too much and not too cheesy but really good. The seasoning was perfection and they put this bomb jerk sauce (which was just right, not too spicy.) Plantains came with it. So good.

We had the combination of jerk chicken and curry chicken. It was the best tasting chicken I have ever had! It fell right off the bones … The cabbage was perfect … Plantains were sweet and the Rice and peas are to die for!
The staff was great … Early evening and it was not busy in the dinning area however a constant flow of people picking up to go orders. Loved it!
The ladies and the one gentleman at the counter were so helpful and pleasant. Felt so welcome as soon as we walked into the door.
Get the Carmel cake to go! You will be thankful once you get home that you did.
Grabbed some beef patties for friends to try! They were perfect!
I will be back there soon! And hopefully the next experience is just as good!

I don’t like Jerk sauce (or so I thought) so, I was NOT thrilled to be going here for dinner, but the place we were going to had an hour wait and we had already paid for parking, so here we were. Talk about a pleasant surprise! This place is delicious, reasonably priced, and had a really lovely dinning area! The service was little slow, but was made up for in friendliness and the fact that after I told our server that I wasn’t sure about the jerk pork, she got me a sample without even being asked! And when we asked about menu items, she was very knowledgeable and helpful.
I ended up having the Jerk Pork dinner (large) and it was easily 2 complete dinners! My friend had the Combo dinner of Jerk Pork and Curried Goat and again, it was a large serving and could have been 2 dinners, but he’s a guy so… We split a Festival, which was yummy, and it really worked well to take away some of the spiciness (not hot, just flavorful) of the jerk. I would also recommend ordering a side of the Oxtail gravy as it adds a really nice moistness to the rice & beans. We both had the Ginger Beer soda and it too was nice and went well with dinner (FYI: they have a liquor license and have cocktails and beer and we were going to have real beer, but as it was snowy, we thought better of the idea).
I would definitely go back and I highly recommend you try it too!

I got the combo plate with the oxtails and the brown stew chicken… So good… So amazing… The cabbage needs to be cooked a little longer but the rest!!! Why did I wait so longgg… Will be back!!!

Authentic Jamaican Food. Great service. I had the curry goat with rice and peas, it was excellent. My husband had the jerk pork and he really enjoyed it, had great flavor! Drinks were great !! Try the cool runnings or hedonism! Would definitely return to Rogers Park for an authentic Jamaican meal

I tried the oxtail and Jerk chicken was pretty good here and service pretty good too. I like that it’s not that far away from my neighborhood.

Picked up lunch today around 1:30
EVERYTHING was reheated. I was wondering why the food was ready so fast? I should have checked it. The chicken was OLD and soft and cold and laying in some red juice, the rice was reheated (who reheats rice?).
The ENTIRE meal is going in the trash. Not even giving my dog a bite.
HORRIBLE! I thought this was going to be the spot.
HORRIBLE!
And the festival? Was FLAT and hard like a rock!
HORRIBLE!
