I haven’t gotten a ton of things framed in my lifetime but when I had I had gone to like the Great Frame Up or some chain. It was expensive (although no complaints about quality). Given that this is a smaller store, I expected high quality but also a high price tag. I actually got high quality with lesser than what I had spent at the bigger chains. I got four things framed and each one Marcy took a long time to go through what she recommended and what would look good. She really has an eye for this that I never would have on my own. I was extremely happy with the quality when they were ready (about two weeks later) and I thought the value was great! Plus, who can resist a little helper named Stoli to keep you company? I highly recommend.

I’ve been going to Framing Mode for a few years now and have yet to be disappointed with any frame job here. Marci has such a great eye for what works and even though sometimes I’m not sure of a frame when I order it, it just comes out looking better than I expected, so I have also grown to trust her judgment in these matters. You just can’t get that in a lot of places. Granted, this place isn’t cheap, but I think it’s worth it.

Last year I found an amazing vintage frame at a street market here in the city. I had so many visions for what I wanted to do with it, but for months it sat in my apartment collecting dust. That was until I found the perfect print for the frame and the perfect framer, Marci at Framing Mode to make my visions a reality.
Marci is a genius and has a true artists eye. She not only framed my print beautifully, but added museum glass (virtually looks like glass isn’t even there) and a colored border to add dimension and make the picture pop. My Framing Mode piece is truly the crowning jewel of my apartment. I get so many complements and know that no other place could’ve done a better job.
Marci is the coolest chick and her staff is just as awesome. Thanks so much, you guys! Highly recommended.

I saw a poster a few months ago through the window and thought that I should get it. Luckily, the poster was there and there was one framed and unframed. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I ordered custom framing for the unframed piece and it came in very ahead of schedule. It looks amazing. They did and awesome job! Will go back for future framing needs!

Lots of framing choices, and the pricing with my Unilocal deal was really reasonable. It is custom framing, so just know that you pay for what you get — if you have something you care about I highly recommend just sucking it up and paying for someone to do the job right. This place will treat your project right!
As a bonus, the owner has the sweetest dog that loves his squeaky toy. Just sayin…

I just picked up two pieces left to Framing Mode’s expertise today, and I have to say that they do very high-​quality work, and they do it fast. I’m simply overwhelemed with the result, the fair price point and the fact that I no longer have to leave my own neighborhood to find it. I brought them a third piece today, and will definitely be directing all of my future business there.

Had two pieces framed here. My original plan was to get the do it yourself metal frames, but I am glad I didn’t. I have no eye for this type of thing, so I’m thrilled the people here were willing to guide me. Ultimately we came up with a pretty awesome looking frame and mat combination that looks really good on my walls.

I came upon Framing Mode by chance — a relative gave me a gift card. I took a very important piece in and was blown away by the great selection of frames and mats they had. The guy who helped me was patient, interested in what I was hoping to have the end product look like, helpful & incredibly knowledgeable with suggestions about what would work best for the artwork I had. I brought it home, hung it and am so unbelievably happy with this piece that I can’t say enough wonderful things about this place.
Whenever I previously had things I needed framed I typically took them to another place — not naming names but it’s a corporate behemoth that has a perpetual 60% off custom framing deal — and I have seen the light. I will never take something I need beautifully and expertly framed to anywhere but Framing Mode & Gallery. Besides, when all is said and done, the amount I paid Framing Mode & Gallery was actually slightly less that what I had previously spent to get similarly sized pieces framed at Mich. .. er, I mean that other place.

I recently took 4 pieces of art into Framing Mode to get framed. I could not be more happy with the results! I also want to mention that the owner, Marci, was very helpful and patient with me:) I expressed that I was on a budget and she showed me several frames/​mattes in different price ranges that would work well with my art. I will definitely use Framing Mode again and it’s nice to support South Loop businesses as well. Thanks!

Marci was very helpful in picking out beautiful frames for a very special photo. She was so accomodating — extending a special a week for me so I could get the best deal even though I couldn’t make it to the shop before it expired. I really LOVE when owners send me to coupons — and Marci did that. I picked out a beautiful frame and wonderful quality glass for my photo and am very happy with the purchase

I just got one of my artworks framed at Framing Mode and am very pleased with the result. The artwork meant a lot to me, and I had high expectations. The owner, Marci, was patient and helpful in offering me different options for framing the picture. The frame I eventually picked complemented the artwork beautifully, and it wasn’t something I would have even considered had Marci not suggested to me. The framing job itself looked to be done with great care.
If you have something very nice you want framed, and you prefer a low-​key environment in which to do it, then you should check this place out. It was expensive for sure — but custom framing is expensive anywhere, and at least here you know you’re getting quality advice and service.

) which provides free year-​round music lessons to children living under the poverty level.
For years, Framing Mode has been one of the three main framers that we use every year to frame items in our Annual Rock & Roll Auction. Every year we have nearly 200 items signed by bands and other celebrities, and most of those items need framed.
Marci at Framing Mode is great to work with (and she has the cutest dog in town! Hands down!) The items Marci frames for us are always popular. For our 2009 Auction she framed a signed Depeche Mode poster which raised a ton of money in our live auction! People who come to our auction always want to know who frames our stuff!
I even have a framed piece from Framing Mode hanging above my mantle at home!
