Good burgers and truffle fries, good waitstaff, door staff(!) and managers who remember frequent customers and even their regular orders. I have many good memories here in groups of 10+, dates and even by myself. Fondest memories are going nuts over Penn State’s quadruple overtime win over Michigan; and stopping by to grab a drink after quitting one job and accepting a new offer — instead of me awkwardly drinking by myself at 4 pm, the staff took congratulatory shots with me on the house and never gave me side-eye for being solo. Friendliness like that goes a long way.

Been to Flagship numerous times through the years, top Chicago spot for a quick lunch, or some good olé fashioned day drinking! Especially in the summer when they open the doors all the way. Had brunch here the other day for the first time, it was great — Their menu is consistently good, and the service is top notch as well

We really enjoy this place as a neighborhood sports bar that has good food, plays good music, and the ambience of when we typically go isn’t filled with overly intoxicated obnoxious people. The service always seems to be pretty solid as well. During the warmer months, we sit outside in their outdoor area. Not a ton of tables, but enough that if you get there in an off hour, you will find a spot. Inside, there is a ton of seating. Unfortunately, they don’t have high chairs so we always have to bring our own for our daughter. That may be on purpose as to not promote a kid friendly restaurant? Not sure… given that they are in a very kid friendly neighborhood and all of the servers love to interact with our daughter. Anyways, knocking a star for that, but everything else is great. We always bring out of towners here as well as the food never disappoints no matter what we order.

Came here for a ‘fantasy playoff bunch’ brunch. Food was extremely tasty and different than your average bar food, I would suggest maybe adding a lemon wedge with the salmon sandwich. Really liked the TV setups all over and being able to watch every game on. Service wasn’t good though, not very attentive and hung out at the end of the bar on her phone the entire time we were there. Will most likely come back and sit at the bar instead.

Good bar, it can be a great bar if they figure out their operations issues. They are consistently out of beer that they have on their menus. We ordered food an hour ago, all of the tables preferred good after us and for good first. This is a common occurrence here

Real solid. Have ordered from grub hub twice and have been pleasantly surprised. I’ve had the baja fish tacos, nachos, chipotle bbq wings, and bbq chicken wrap. all have been 4 stars and above. favorites so far are the bbq chicken wrap and chipotle bbq wings.

Great atmosphere! You should reserve a table on their website as the place isn’t big. They recommend 24 hours though we did it two hours before. The owner/manager texted me within 5 minutes to confirm our table. We arrived and had great service from the onset. The food came out quickly and the waitress always checked on us. Great spot to watch a game and they know what games are on and have sound for the big ones. They also change the tvs if you ask since there are so many. Good burgers and a lot to choose from. The only thing they need to be better at is how they handle when to reserve tables. There were some open tables for almost 90 minutes which is enough time for a party to come in and eat. If it’s a game it’s understandable as people will stay the whole game so you have to keep it reserved ahead since you can’t tell people to leave but if it’s a normal night most people are done within 90 minutes. I will say it’s tough to manage since there aren’t a ton of tables either

Enjoyed eating at the restaurant, however, on a separate occasion GrubHub order was 50% wrong. Their food was still delicious, albeit incorrect so they still get 3 stars. Hopefully next time you will read your online orders a little more closely!

This place saved my group of friends from crashing and burning and allowed us to continue a long day of drinking into the night with their yummy food and drinks. We ordered fish tacos and quesadillas and washed them down with one of their 128 oz cocktails. It was tough work but the 5 of us were up for the challenge. We had just been at burger fest and were given BOGO coupons for Flagship, so I’m not sure if the experience would’ve been this great if it hadn’t been so cheap, but I’d definitely come back on a day when I’m super thirsty!

A 3 star place overall — but knocking one down because they refused to honor our reservations made through Unilocal… even with the confirmation e-mail. Our friends arrived before us, and I had forwarded her the e-mail confirm, and when she arrived the manager told her they didn’t have a reservation for us, and when she produced the confirmation, he told her it was useless, they didn’t have any tables, we could sit at the bar if we wanted. I never got the chance to circle back with the management staff about that — because I was less than happy… especially as they had tables reserved for 9:30pm at 6:30 when we arrived. That’s just stupid. I drank beer, but my friends complained that the drinks were a very weak pour. The bartenders told us that the other trivia patrons sitting at the bar were cheating the whole time, but the trivia host did nothing about it to my knowledge.

I have eaten at Flagship multiple times and the food is pretty consistent and a decent option. The carryout and service is why they get dinged a couple of stars. First off, they mess up my order every time(EVERY) time, whether it’s getting charged for an extra soup, forgetting something or being overcharged. Second if you order on grubhub and want carryout it charges you 20% for a tip. We have called them and they always tell us it’s grubhubs fault, but then we will order a couple of weeks later and it’s the same thing. Something tells me this is a setting they aren’t changing but it’s insane to think I’m going to tip 20% for me to walk 2 blocks to pick up my food. I mean it’s annoying to try to place an order and then have to call the bar, it just seems a little shady to me that this is built in. The last time we were told they were to busy to look into it, so we ordered from somewhere else. I will also say that their reservation policy is also a bit suspect, you can walk in and the place will be empty but they won’t sit you because every table is reserved. Hey I guess as long as they can keep filling the tables they can keep doing this, that’s why I have my fingers crossed a new bar comes to the area soon.

Came here on a Thursday night since it’s close and we had a friend over from out of town. The place was packed and everyone was playing trivia. I really like the vibe of this place on the weekdays since on the weekend it’s more club like. The bartenders were really nice and we tried a new shot, fireball with rumchata, pretty good. However, really disappointed with the food. We ordered the chicken tenders and waffles thing because it had a star next to it, and it was pretty gross! The waffle part was inedible, super hard, must have been leftover from yesterday or something? And the popcorn shrimp was alright, but not worth the $ 12 for the tiny basket we got. Supposedly is was supposed to be a half pound, but they must have been including the weight of the basket. I’ll be coming here for drinks but stay away from the food.

Went to pony before the last Hawks game after I was told no reservations, so I arrive early and tables are all being reserved by owner(see my review), ok whatever Pony owner is a DB. Ok, I get it but can’t waste time for the finals and gotta find a table fast! Walk over to Flagship as when I had walked by previously it was empty. Walk in and EVERY table has a reserved sign on it. Again, this is a bar who has told me time and time again no reservations. Ok cool, douchebag bar #2. Good to know.

I’m standing in your bar right now waiting for GAMESIX of the Stanley Cup and your DJ is legitimately AWFUL. you’re kidding with him right now right? You’re trying to get a crowd ready for the game is he’s playing music that isn’t even relevant right now. Killing the mood of the whole bar. TERRIBLE. Bartenders = nice and amazing. Bar = great set up, food looks great. DJ? Complete disappointment. UPDATE: this DJ no longer works there! So go there!

So it’s dead in here, but is it really ever okay for the bartender to sit far from the bar with her boyfriend in a booth? Apparently she’s been here for 1 week and hopefully won’t last long. I wish I liked this bar — it has potential. Service because of bartender and bf isn’t great and I told myself not to get the mussels because that isn’t bar food, but I did it anyway and regretted it. The toast is basically white bread and the mussels are varied in shape so varied in level of cooked. Bad idea. Friends both had chicken and waffles that were horribly overcooked. The siracha syrup is the real deal though. I’ll come back and hope to like it more next time.

Our group of 16 was sat at two table booths for 10 minutes before a very rude«owner» came over to tell us we could not stay there. Reasons for that were vague and not adequate to boot us from the only area that could accommodate us together. Many other open booths, unmarked with reserved signs, were unavailable to us. Yes, we were ‘away fans’ for the game– but just looking for a dinner and game spot… I was embarrassed for the staff having to obey this ‘owner.‘ Looked like a nice place though.

I have been here twice and the scene has been pretty much the same typical bar scene. However, the food is pretty good. I first went here about a year ago with some friends. We were having dinner there. There was a separate party going on to the left of the entrance but it didn’t seem crowded or swamped. I forgot what everybody ordered, but I had a chicken sandwich with fries. The chicken was tender and the fries were crispy and delicious. I also liked the layout and how the TV’s are lined up being the bar. I have since been back briefly, but I will come back here again soon.

Flagship Tavern and Grill is a good option in the area for some tasty food, some of which is a bit ore unique than the norm. It’s also a nice venue to kick back, relax and have a couple brewskis. I’ve been to Flagship a couple times — once for brunch and once for some drinks + snacks. For breakfast I had the Classic eggs benedict which consisted of poached eggs and ham on top of biscuits smothered in hollandaise sauce. I gobbled up every last bite of this meal! I enjoyed this dish however it came with some«breakfast potatoes» which I wasn’t fully sold on. Flagship will sometimes have beer specials and if they do, jump on them! I was tipping back $ 4 pints one afternoon and they were some good Revolution & Lagunitas options though nothing overly unique. Their poutine is delicious and has a fun spin on it. It’s got the fries, the cheese curds and some pork. But if you’re looking for gravy, you aren’t going to find it in Flagship’s version of poutine. Instead of gravy, they use a green chili to envelop their dish. It’s quite a spicy touch which I’m usually not into but with the ingredients — it all worked really well. Flagship’s poutine is the perfect thing to munch on while having some suds!
