If I can rate this salon a ZERO then I would do just that. I was a client of Lauren. This has to be the most unprofessional salon I’ve ever been to in my life. When I came in I was not greeted by anyone in the shop, instead I was mean mugged and Lauren said«Who you here for? Lauren?» Like I didn’t just get off the phone with her or she wasn’t referring to herself. As I purchased an expensive silk base closure from Tocarra(the owner) she would not accept my visa debit card! Throughout the salon there are signs posted for them accepting major credit/debit cards. The neighborhood is already bad. She made me walk to the nearest gas station to use the ATM to take out $ 450 for my full service. So I go back to the salon. Lauren wash my hair and put me under the dryer then she goes to the beauty supply store for herself. What kind of stylist leave their client in a salon alone? After she blow dry my hair she asked another stylist(Shaynah) to braid and prep me for a sew-in. I was confused as to what was going on because Shaynah sat on Facebook for 15 minutes before she got up to start on my braids. After she finished only 3 braids. The owner called a staff meeting! In the process of getting my hair done there was a meeting called? That’s was yet again UNPROFESSIONAL. That should have happened before the salon opened or after the closed. The meeting was well over an hour. I was ready to get up and walk out of the salon. Which now, I regret that I did not do it. Lauren does okay hair but she did my sew-in too tight. She pulled and was very rough with my hair. I had to take ibuprofen for the pain for about 3 days. Overall, I was at this salon for almost 4 hours for a simple sew-in that shouldn’t have even taken half of that time. For $ 450, I did not receive a thank you or even a sample to help maintain my weave. I asked Lauren to wand curl my hair and she had the audacity to want to charge me extra money. I would NEVER recommend this salon to no one. Now I see why this salon always have open appointments. I will never go back to this place. This place falls under the stereotypical black business’s… UNPROFESSIONAL and GHETTO!

This place is HORRIBLE! I went here before because someone told me about them.(never again.) First when the one girl shampooed my hair she had THEWORSTATTITUDE! Then the lady who was gonna style my hair told me she was leaving to make a run so I had to wait. 2FREAKINGHOURS!!! How unprofessional can these chicks be. Ugh ghetto nasty trash. If I could give zero stars I would have.

I only go here if I am ass out. It’s ratchet, unprofessional, they talk about all the clients when they leave. And whenever I go I must clear my schedule cause it’s gonna be all day for whatever

This hair salon is horrible. The stylists are rude, the whole place is dirty, and the owner didn’t even do a good job on my hair. I would not recommend this hair salon to nobody.

I was in desperate need of hair attention and I took a chance and made an appointment with Toccara. My appointment was scheduled for very early in the morning and everyone arrived at essentially the same time. After a consultation, my previous sew-in was removed, my hair washed — no massaged actually — and conditioned and prepared for a new weave. My in-chair time was approximately three hours — which is fabulous and I am still receiving rave reviews on my new style and color. The salon is neat and clean and the customers and stylists were warm and friendly. I highly recommend the experience and I will return and provide additional referrals!

Yeah it’s me again and I’m still coming here… why? Well I haven’t been to a shop where everyone in their can do hair and do it very well when you come out the chair looking like a natural star I looooove getting sew ins here, as for the other reviews I never received any bad service here but my advice for any complaints of a business is to let the person who is doing your hair know she is doing something that you don’t like and if that don’t work let the manager know nicely. But I love my hair it’s soft bouncy and natural looking people kept asking me how I grew my hair that long I said Bobbi boss remi! Déjà vu always have my hair looking fly!!! Now a few lessons in salon etiquette: 1. Make an appointment, remember who you spoke to when you made the appointment and show up. If you can’t make the appointment or you are going to be late give the stylist the courtesy of a phone call at least a day before or 2 hrs before you know u aren’t coming or goof to be late. The stylist is taking her time out to wait a provide a service for u respect the stylist. 2. Tipping– tip your stylist and shampoo girl why the shampoo girl because she made your hair feel good massaging the shampoo into your scalp, taking down the braids and extensions come on show your appreciation and tip. Tip your stylist because she did a nice ass job your not cheap with other things so why be cheap with your hair? 3. Come in with an idea or picture of how you want your hair, stylist are artist but not mind readers!!! Before the stylist cut make sure that’s what you want if something hurts or is too tight let them know, advice with extensions if your used to a brand you like get it but if you don’t know about extensions or want to try something new call the stylist before your appointment because the quality of hair is important in achieving a beautiful style if you need to know where to get good hair online message me. Other then that I had my hair done by toccara the owner and Tara they are cold in what they do check them out cause they do it all 4 real!

I came from the far north side of Chicago to get my hair done at this place. The salon is very neat and modern and very clean. The only caveat is some of the beauticians have nasty ghetto attitudes, even down to the shampoo lady. I had gotten my first overlay(or bonded extensions) and didn’t know I was supposed to bring a wig cap. Why did I forget that?! Then the beautician cut my hair a lot shorter than I expected, she got irritated because I was reading a hair magazine, was irritated about the hair I used, and got so irritated about me asking about using a blow dryer with the bond that she pulled(more like tugged) the extensions to ‘show’ they won’t be coming out. Although she gave me a great look, I will not go back because the women’s attitudes there were just that bad! I still tipped them, and I was a very professional client, but too bad my stylists weren’t!
