Honey K’s Salon

All of the stylist at this salon are proficient at hair care and styling. I’ve been going to Chiquita forever and unequivocally recommend her for all of your hair care needs.

I found Honey K’s on Style Seat and decided to check it out. The main attraction was the $ 25 Blow and Go for new clients. I figured even if I didn’t like my hair or the shop, I didn’t invest too much money it in. I made a 10:45 appointment, and went in with low expectations.
I have natural hair that I like to wear straight so I usually go to the Egyptian owned «assembly line» places where different people wash, blow dry and style you. Outside of 3 times, I had not been to an African American shop in 9 years. I hate to say that our people are oftentimes slow and late and have a totally disregard for their clients time and that is why I went to this shop with low expectations.
Well, Teka (the stylist and owner) at Honey K’s exceeded my expectations. She started me on time and I was out in just about an hour. (the estimated time, per Style Seat, was 1 hour, 15 minutes) My hair was straight at the roots like I like it and styled nicely. The shop itself is very basic, no frills, but that is fine with me. I don’t need all the TV’s and décor as long as the service is up to par.
After the first visit it is $ 40 for a shampoo and style, and that includes a deep conditioning or a hot oil treatment. I feel the prices are very reasonable and service great. I have already made another appointment to go back.
