Ordered Connie’s delivery while I was in town for work. I got the thin crust Connie’s special, spinach dip, and cheesecake. I enjoyed all of the items but didn’t think it was really anything special. I would give them another shot and order a different pizza next time. Delivery was about 10 mins later than the estimated time and it arrived lukewarm, which is possibly why it wasn’t as good as some others have said.

I was there on Monday 11 am. Asked the manager if there is a way to get a wheelchair up one step on the patio. His response«I don’t think so» and walked away. There needs to be a portable ramp to get a wheelchair up on the patio. Sat inside, both Hostesses are AWESOME. Hostess sat us and walked away and FELL on some water on the floor. Luckily she was Ok. Busboy walked by and fell also. Manager walked by and I told him the situation and he put a caution sign and wiped up the water. Thank goodness no one was hurt. I was then having a conversation with the hostess and server about the incident(as women like to do) and the manager came around the corner and got huffy and puffy that we were carrying on a conversation. He told them that he isn’t going to hold their hand, ect. He then proceeded to yell in the dining room for a server to set up the downstairs area. He is completely unprofessional and has a chip on his shoulder. I feel bad for the employees that have to work under him. Food and service were great. Expensive for the area, but it seems prices of everything have gone up. $ 13.99 for a pasta and sauce only. I will not be going back which is quite unfortunate.

My wife and I had our rehearsal dinner at Connie’s in April. Our family and friends came from all around the country so we wanted a local favorite for the rehearsal. We visit Connies frequently so figured it would be a great place for the out of town guests. Edgar V. Helped put everything together and he and his staff did a fantastic job! We ordered pizza and pasta combinations for over 65 people and it came along with the house salad. The guest really enjoyed the Parmesan dressing and the pizza was phenomenal as usual! This place offers a great atmosphere, and a great staff! I would highly recommend doing a party here anytime!

Had a BOGO coupon. My niece loves pepperoni so we ordered a middleweight sausage and pepperoni. And the other pizza was a Sicilian pizza with sausage. When we brought it home, the middleweight barely had any pepperoni on it and the same for the sausage. We weren’t happy with the Sicilian either. There wasn’t even sausage on every piece. There wasn’t enough sauce on it. They skimped on that too. This was a very disappointing experience and I don’t know if I’ll order again.

I ordered a large original pan special par baked for carryout and it did not disappoint. The par baked pan pizza dough was super soft and barely cooked. The fresh toppings were all laid on top of the pizza. I followed the baking instructions on the box and the end result was probably the best carryout pizza we’ve ever had. The crust was perfectly cooked and crispy with a super soft interior. There’s something about baking it fresh at home and eating it straight from the oven that made the pizza soooo good. My mom, who is a die-hard chicago deep dish fanatic, could not stop talking about how good the pizza was. We didn’t even try the deep dish, but the original pan pizza had a very generous amount of crust to it(in a good way). I can’t imagine how much thicker the deep dish could get. My parents were very impressed. The large original pan pizza cut into 8 slices fed 4 adults with no leftovers. It was the perfect size for a filling meal, but if you are looking to gorge yourselves, you might need to add an appetizer. I highly recommend the par baked original pan!

I give Connie’s a 3.5 overall rating. It’s not bad at all. In fact it’s quite good. I enjoy the pizza! I cannot say it stands out over other great Chicago pizza places, because it’s nothing unique. The food is good, however, and I have no complaints, but I also don’t have anything special to report that makes Connie’s great. In other words it’s not superior to most other normal pizza joints. The appetizers, such as the salad and calamari are average. Nothing bad, but nothing great. So, I would rate these items a 2 to a 3. They’re alright! The décor, old style tomato sauce cans, pictures on the walls, old fashioned equipment, the black and white photos, as well as machines from the industrial era are super cool! It gives Connie’s a nice touch. I would definitely say this place is family friendly and the staff seems nice. What most stands out is that the owner is often on hand. He is such a nice man, a gentleman really. He is kind hearted and sincere. He will give you a genuine smile and a warm greeting. In other words, he takes care of you, and makes you feel welcome. That is by far what I most like about Connie’s Pizza. You’re family!

We usually go to Connies on Archer because we like the service and food. We go about once a week. Today, I took my niece to celebrate her birthday along with my kids and elderly mother. When we arrived, I went to the podium to wait my turn to check in. They were busy and I understood I had to wait. No problem. There was a blonde woman there on the phone behind the podium. She snapped at coworker when she got off the phone. The poor girl looked embarrassed then she(the blonde woman) looks at me at snaps me with exasperated and impatient look saying«can you wait a minute… just wait». I told her I hadn’t said a word but I would wait. Then, in front of me, said«I don’t understand what is wrong with THESE people». I did not know if she meant people in general or Hispanic people. I simply let her know I am at the podium to check in and had not said a word but waited as she had asked. She was flat out rude. We debated leaving when her coworker seated us immediately. She apologized for her coworker. We really liked this restaurant but the rude coworker made me realize I can get pizza elsewhere in the future. I am very disappointed. I am basing my review on the service today. In the past, it was fantastic but today… the hostess was rude. Ten hours later, I’m realizing we should have left. We won’t return although we have been going since the kids were in preschool and are now in college.

We held our son’s rehearsal dinner at Connie’s. Edgar was awesome and made sure everything went exactly as we had requested. The pizza was yummy and was devoured by our 60 hungry guests. Service was great and I highly recommend going to Connie’s if you want a great informal place to host an event. It was top notch.

I absolutely love this place. When I was 5 years old this was the go to pizza place. What I like about Connie’s pizza is that they make a pizza like no other. All of their pizzas are great. The deep dish is exceptional. And all the other types of pizzas they offer. I absolutely love the spinach dip with their flat bread. The bruschetta is also fresh and tasty. In our visit we tried the buffalo wings chicken strips which were pretty good. We had a deep dish pizza in a 10 inch with spicy sausages, ham and meatballs. Even our leftovers were thrown in the oven for a couple of minutes the next day and they were divine. The customer service I would say is average but the reason for this is mostly because they are so busy and a lot of really big groups like to dine there. Our server was polite and respectful and got our orders right. I also had a strawberry mojito which was a bit tiny but tasty.

Last visit was so awesome that we decided to come back for another weekday dinner date. Not sure what happened, but the pizza we ordered was not consistent as our previous experience. The cheese was very chewy, not melty at all but the crust was still on point. Over all, the service was excellent, but we probably won’t be back any time soon due to price and inconsistency.

Really good Italian food at reasonable prices. Only bad thing is that they are pretty busy in the evenings on the weekends, so you will wait about 20 — 30 minutes without a reservation for a table. The interior is really trendy and authentic and you’ll see different sections of seating, but all areas are great. Noise level is pretty high most times, especially when they are really busy. But the entrées are really delicious and you’ll most likely bring home part of your order. They have a big parking lot so you won’t have trouble finding a spot, but you most likely not get a good spot close to the doors since there is only one exit/entrance. A link to their site:

It’s hit or miss. I recommend dining in, it’s obvious that food for delivery/carry out is not prepared as well as what’s being served in the restaurant. Tonight I ordered a large pan crust with spinach and a house salad for pick up. The pizza was undercooked. And spinach shouldn’t even be a topping option if that’s the way they serve it… Inedible. I wish I would have taken a photo because the amount of stringy, brown crap on that thing was ridiculous. Ended up throwing most of it away. The salad was just sad. Extremely minimal toppings… basically paid 8 bucks for a container of romaine. Step it up, Connie’s! Whoever’s managing needs to keep an eye on what they’re sending out. Though I’ve had good experiences dining in, what I paid for tonight was unacceptable and I won’t be back. Too many other consistent pizza spots in the area to chance it anymore.

Something has changed since I last reviewed in 2009. Their pizza sans cheese actually has flavor now. I get the vegetarian one on thin crust. It is one of the special pizzas. I go about once a month with some coworkers. The other vegan usually gets a salad because he is healthy. You could also get pasta here if you are vegan. They have $ 5 glasses of wine on Wednesday, which I like as well! Makes up for the limited vegan choices. I prefer Kitchen 17 and dimos for vegan pizza, but if your friends from out of town want Connie’s, you have a few choices.

I am a big fan of thin crust pizza. Connie’s thin crust pizza isn’t thin at all. It’s like a pan pizza.

We had not been here in a long time and I am so glad we finally made it back. Connie’s was a staple in my younger days. I am so glad it has not changed a bit. Service was friendly. Prices are fair, pizza and appetizers are so very good. Wine is reasonably priced as are draft beers. Plus they still have the«Connie’s bread». I think it is a sourdough bread from Turano Bakery in Berwyn and it might be one of the best breads ever. Family friendly. There are a few outdoor tables in season. Free parking in lot.

Been in town a week now and have had some great pie. This was not one of them. If anything I’d call this place basic. Had the pizza combo with a slice of special the the day. Deep dish with pepperoni, sausage, and cheese. Came with a side salad that was super tiny and a drink. Pizza was just bland. Not gross or anything but not anything you’d crave. Pepperoni was very mild so maybe that’s a plus? Sausage really was just salty and out of a bag I’d guess. Side salad was funny as the packet for the Ceasar dressing was enough to dress four salads of this size. So in a pinch sure it’s food and it won’t gross you out. But for my stars it’s got to be more.

Visiting Chicago again and wanted to try the style Connie’s offers. Connie’s offers thicker, fluffy crust vs. the thinner, buttery style with more«stuff». It was so different and confusing that I forgot my wallet there – but more on that later. Our big salad to share looked good and even had delicious artichoke hearts in it, but was pretty drowned in the dressing. Sorry for those who had to eat that bottom third. Ordered two«legendary» deep dish pizzas. Despite all the sausage and pepperoni we had on our pizzas, I didn’t find the pizzas to be too salty. I hate when sausage is so salty that it just overtakes the other toppings. Dough is chewy and soft. I thoroughly enjoyed my pie, really, although I think I truly craaaave the thin, buttery crust style more. As with any deep dish pie, be prepared to fork over that guap to try this novelty. Also, I saw the server plate and serve slices at every table but ours. Hmph! Oh, and about my wallet, it was never recovered. Pretty sure the shady-looking bussing staff made off with it. I should have checked the dumpster out back.

I ordered delivery. They said it would be an hour. It was just shy of an hour and a half. We got a small thin crust cheese pizza with ricotta and a Special deep dish. The thin crust cheese pizza was ok. Frozen dough? Almost no sauce. Bland and cardboard-y. The deep dish was good. Lots of cheesy goodness and the crust was soft and crisp at the same time. Sausage chunks were very large but veggie balance made that ok. The cannoli wasn’t filled all the way — empty in the center. The green powder on the ends with chunks of shell make it look like there are a lot more pistachios than there are. I’d skip them. Cheap and not worth the calories. Go for the deep dish but leave the rest.
