Can I give this place 6 stars? Being from NYC I’m skeptical when reviewers ever say it’s «NYC» style pizza. Been fooled plenty of times here in Chicago! But this place rocks! Great pizza, thin but not too thin, enough cheese to sauce ratio and best of all pizza cut in pizza slices. Not squares! This place will be part of my weekly rotation.

Terrible delivery. Lied about the time. Pizza not great. Too expensive. I’m sad and need pizza, they said they would be here, just like she said she would.

Came in for a slice at lunchtime. The girl behind the counter was nice, but this was very mediocre pizza. It tasted like something you’d get in a cafeteria. The tables were not clean either. Not up to my standards.

Visiting from out of town for NYE and went here New Year’s Day, was probably some of the best pizza I’ve ever had and the staff was cool

Great pizza to pick up as you go home. Don’t get it for delivery though. I ordered a few slices for delivery thinking it would be quick since they’re always prepared. I’ve been waiting for an hour and 40 minutes on a Tuesday for a few slices of pizza and it’s still not here. A bit ridiculous if you ask me. I could have ordered a fresh pizza and eaten it by now. Easily.

We really enjoyed The Savage — with BBQ chicken, bacon and ranch. And had I given them a rating on that first pizza I got from Big G’s I would have given it a 5 star review. I then made the mistake of ordering a pizza that had red sauce on it. I really don’t like their red sauce. It is cheap, sweet, big pizza chain red sauce. Like I said though, try The Savage — with BBQ chicken, bacon and ranch. It is incredibly delicious.

A few weeks back I ordered a delivery cheese pizza. There was confusion with delivery because they didn’t knock(they tried calling and didn’t get through). However, I reviewed them and they responded really well. They apologised for their mistake and made up for it. All said and done, I would go back again.

Love the chicken bacon ranch and philly cheese. BUTBEWARE! I went in and picked a new slice out thinking it looked delicious. I took one bite and it was the hottest piece of pizza on earth. I decided to take it home bc I thought I was being a baby. I later tried to eat it at home and ended up on all fours, crying, and drooling on the floor. The guy never warned or told me this was a pizza slice straight from hell with its spiceyness. I couldn’t eat it :/. I left it in the fridge and my sister also fell victim. Please warn me next time!

We had the El Diablo pizza, and I must say… it was pretty good. It does have habanero peppers, but I didn’t find it to be unbearable, although there was a good amount of spice. The location is great too, about a block away from Wrigley Field. I suppose it doesn’t get much better than that.

The owner edited his response, but he originally responded snidely and insincerely. He said that because of my review they have considered raising the price of the 12″ pie. For the sake of your business, Jaime, I would suggest not responding to further reviews.

The pizza was what you expect. As it has been sitting out for god knows how long and looks like it. I got the crab Rangoon pizza which was super dry but had great potential. Maybe fresh this stuff is better. The bbq on the steak and French fry pizza was inedible. Otherwise there is no reason for the hype unless ur drunk walking after a game

Holy crap, this pizza is good! Caught this place by accident, wanted some pizza and left saying it was the best NY style pizza I’ve had… including NYC. Many different styles and toppings to put on your pizza. You can order by the slice, order from menu or make your own. So many options! The crust is thin and foldable and the toppings weren’t overly greasy. The crust was perfectly crispy. It didn’t taste dry and flour-y — it was more like a buttery crispy bottom with a little crunch. SO good! I do LOVE chicago style and it’s still my favorite, but if you’re in the mood for NYC style — this is the place!

Mac and cheese disgusts me, but spread it out on a NY style pizza crust and I will have it any time of any day. The mac and cheese pizza is amazing and I prefer it signficantly over Dimo’s. The macaroni is a perfect softness and texture while the cheese’s taste and ooey-gooeyness is wonderful. Other pizzas I’ve had from here is the pepperoni… amazing as well. Thank goodness for both a northside and westside location!

The group was looking for a post-game bite to eat. When we first walked in, I didn’t quite understand the depth of the menu and ordered a slice of something that was on display. Little did I know there was so much more! I ordered the bacon cheeseburger slice. This is one of those places that takes your(large) slice of pizza and throws it in the oven to «freshen it up». Well, let me tell you that process WORKS. The pizza was fresh and tasty. In hindsight, I should have just gotten the slice of «Mac N’ Cheese», which they tout as «the greatest». But I was happy with my selection, and it hit the spot just right. The price was reasonable and it did the job.

Called me up after waiting an hour for my delivery to tell me they were out of ONE ingredient of my pizza topping, and that their«delivery is now up,» so they were cancelled my multi-item order. Wasted my time, and didn’t care enough about customer service or respect my time enough to make good on the on the transaction. Will never attempt to order from these unprofessional people again.

Adequate at best, I would recommend to only get slices here so you can try the different creations. Parking is incredibly difficult here for pickups, I would highly recommend delivery! Great place for a late night slice when taste buds are at a high!

NASTY!!! The pizzas that they cook in the afternoons must be left out until the very end of night(if they don’t sell) because they look so ragged and sloppy. Nothing looks fresh in here! Also, the garlic rolls are waaaaaaay over priced!

Big G’s itself gets 4 stars – delivery service gets 0. Let me elaborate: I ordered a pizza last night(3÷23÷15) and had it delivered. I specifically asked the person on the phone to tell the delivery guy NOT to buzz up to my apt, but to just give me a call/text(buzzer freaks out my dog). Well, the pizza arrived in the time frame they said it would, but the dude buzzes up. I go meet him in the stairwell, and the pizza box is ice cold. To their credit, I called Big G’s and explained the situation. I mean, I know it’s cold outside, but the pizza shouldn’t be THAT cold. They offered me a $ 10 credit and explained that they had told the delivery person not to buzz. I’ve never heard of a pizza place farming out its deliveries, but maybe you might want to reconsider that. The pizza itself – once it was warmed up – was delicious though.

G, you know what I like. You know I like cheese, and BBQ, and ranch, and meats, and hearty vegetables; you know I want it late at night when the day has left me crudely unsatisfied; you know I like your deliciousness affordably, so that I don’t log in to PNC the next day and find angry graphs telling me I bet my financial security on artery-clogging suicide. Rather, you hit the spot for a few bucks with spunk and creativity; you’re the real G. Thank you.

To this day I thought we only had 2 options for sliced pizza in the wrigleyville area until I was told about this little gem by my pizza loving friend. I had their Thanksgiving pizza. The name says it all. It was topped with stuffing, cranberry sauce, green beans, and turkey. The coolest part was that they donated proceeds from this pizza to the local food bank! I thought that that was really going with the holiday spirit and a way to give back to the Lakeviee community. The fact that they have great pizza and is not that crowded makes me really like this place. I’m in and out with my pizza on a late Friday night without being surrounded by drunkards.
