The Italian ice at Anthony’s Homemade Italian Ice was amazing. It’s a shame that this place is out of business. I really miss it.

Still good, but finally revisiting here last year after so many years, confirmed that I have a slight preference for Miko’s over here. I recall when they used to be located east of the Armitage Brown Line stop(and my 1st ever experiences w/Anthony’s) many years ago, so nice to see they’re still in business all these years later. That said, their italian ice is still good, and I do appreciate that they take cards unlike Miko’s. This is definitely a good backup choice, if the line at Jeni’s is too long. I believe they’re seasonal like Miko’s, Scooter’s, Dairy Star, etc. and close in winter months, IIRC. Never strayed away from the italian ice towards their ice cream or food offerings, so I have no idea what those taste like.

Usually go to Mario’s but Anthony’s was 100 x better. Flavors are so incredibly rich you feel like you are tasting fresh fruit. They also give you a great amount for the money. I highly recommend the mango and the rasberry!

The stars are for the ice cream and italian ice only… it’s absolutely DELICIOUS! The italian ice has chunks of fruit in it. The workers here are so sweet and accommodating, too. Love their frozen treats! We stopped in for lunch one afternoon and both got hot dogs. The bun was not very fresh and I was pretty unenthused… but this is coming from a self-proclaimed hot dog connoisseur. I would not order a hot dog from here again. This place is tiny and quaint, very simple, nothing gourmet. It’s awesome and I love it!

On a hot summer night, I got a cold Italian ice at Anthony’s. Medium cup with two scoops: passion fruit and honeydew. Taste buds blown. Anthony’s is a blast from the past. Product served in white styrofoam cups. Clean-cut teens — no tattoos, no handlebar mustaches — working behind the counter. Open till 11pm. Next time you’re on Southport, skip Jeni’s and go to Tony’s. You’ll avoid a ten-minute wait. You’ll save one buck on two scoops. And you’ll feel proud for supporting an old-fashioned local business, not a trendy Columbus OH import.

Walked here last night and it did not disappoint, per usual. The young girl who was working was very friendly and helpful… she let us try a number of different flavors before we finally decided. They took an expired Groupon with no hassle too. Their prices are great to begin with and their portions are generous. I kid the kids size and it is more than enough. The Strawberry, Passion Fruit and Mango are my favorites. I tried the Chocolate Heath last night and was shocked at how good it was for Italian Ice. Love this place!

I’m glad they are back. Still have all the great Italian ice flavors. My favorite is a medium– half pink grapefruit and half red raspberry.

Amazing Italian ice. Hands down the best in the city. Try their mango Italian ice, it’s my favorite!
