O’Charley’s Restaurant & Bar

Awesome place especially for Sunday brunch. I happen to be here for brunch after Saturday hangover. Drinks, food, and ambience was good. Enjoyed having brunch here.

We were seated, a waitress passes our table and said she’d be right with as. Aprox 5 minutes passed no waitress, another walked by us several times pretty much ignoring our table. After about less them 10 minutes and watching others being waited on that had come in after us, I told my wife lets go. Asked to speak to the Manager, he remembered seating us, and could only say Sorry! Screw your sorry… how about fixing the problem!!! In addition.. if you like walking on greasy floors to your table, then this is your type establishment.

The wait was over an hour with people seated as they came in. They seemed to forget about those already waiting. Preference given to parties of two and larger parties ignored. The rolls were always in the oven and never quite made it to the table. Service was slow and staff not happy to be here. Food was ok after a long wait but service is always hit and miss. If you have time to waste then it’s an ok place to go. The manager visited a few tables but did not seem concerned with the complaints.

I found the food very average. There are Just too many good restaurant chains for me to include o Charley’s in my return to list. They do seem to have a following with their Wednesday free pie promotion. I haven’t tried their pie. But found there chicken Caesar salad very average. Also the buffalo strips appetizer and cheese fries appetizer both just average.
Came away not really a fan. But nothing truly wrong. I think it deserves 2 ½ star. Ok if just want consistency I guess.

STAY AWAY. I am beyond disappointed with my experience at this excuse of an establishment. The one star is for our polite server and the buns. My boyfriend ordered the Cajun pasta with no onions and no peppers. When it came out it had both. Thought that may have been a mistake, so I went to bite into my salad. I bit into a chunk of frozen lettuce. I went to try my black bean burger. It was luke warm. I went to get the manager. Finally found him and went to introduce myself. Instead of politely saying hello, he said «yeah?» His unprofessional demeanor was another letdown. I told him about our food and he did not apologize or take responsibility for our inconvenience. Then we got the check. We got charged for both sodas and an appetizer. Considering the inconvenience, one would think the right move would be to take a discount off of our check. He refused and only took half off our appetizer. We are currently driving around looking for a McDonald’s that will better accommodate us. I’ve had better experiences at Waffle House at 3 AM sober as a DD than I had here.

Food was okay.
Pros: Meat inside the chicken tenders was tasty.
Waitress was nice and check in on us a lot.
Fries were good.
Ambience is nice.
Cons:The breading on the chicken falls off and its not very crunchy.
The portions are very small, espicially with the fries, they give you like ten.
Sprite tasted weird.
Our ketchup bottle was empty

Let me start by saying two stars for the yeast rolls and my waitress Des. She made sure to check on us for satisfactory, unfortunately I was not satisfied with my food. :-(
I had the Cajun chicken pasta with a side of shrimp for 5 more dollars. UGH! 7 grilled shrimp that was as bland as water. The pasta that I asked to be spicy was also «blah».
This place reminds me of the old Hot Shoppes that use to cook for Seniors. (No Salt) My son had honey chicken. It looked pretty good and he even said I need to try it, no thanks. I’m one and done with O’Charley.

Food choice and options were ok. Pricing was average. Service was acceptable. I would return, but only if there wasn’t something more exciting.

Excellent food and a nice atmosphere. The server was amazing and very attentive. They were busy and food was a little slow coming out, but still worth the talk time with family.

I’m giving 4 stars not because the food was great because it was about average. Four starts because management and staff were very accommodating this particular evening. I just so happened to have a late dinner meeting with my partner to go over a few things. Our meeting spilled over past the normal Business hours of operation for this establishment. The Mgr. told us, not to rush but to take our time. While we were there, they continued to replenish our drinks and Check on us. They went above and beyond in the customer service department. Happy Customer!

The best thing. About O’Charleys was John the bartender. He was absolutely awesome!
Food was lackluster how can you mess up fries?

Went back on a Sunday night. They seemed way understaffed. The waitress in the bar area was running ragged. Service took awhile for everything. The Prime Rib today was not cut the same out of three meals. One really thin, the other two were cut thicker but not the same size at all. I wouldn’t recommend the ribs to anyone or feed them to my dog. The bartender seemed to be making the drinks lighter and lighter so we left. The appetizers were still pretty good. Maybe if you just got appetizers and beer it would be a great place.

We went there with a large group. They were very accommodating. Lots of choices. All looked, sounded or smelled good. Lots of great comfort food options from mac n cheese to chicken pot pies. The salads are huge. Staff was very friendly. Very kid friendly.

The food is better than the other restaurants around. Weekends for dinner get pretty full. The one thing I like the best is the chicken tenders, drinks are a bit pricey and bartender is all that great at mixing drinks. After your meal staff slows down so be ready to wait for your ticket.

My first experience was not good. Poor service, drinks were lousy, and meal was not great, not bad.
We were willing to try again (due to indecisive group), but when I tried to make a reservation, the staff was rude and unwilling to work with us.
There are plenty of better options in Chester.

Food was good but they sure don’t know how to make good martini. Won’t be ordering that but over all service was good but they changed their complementary bread. Liked the fluffy ones better.

great menu but this location manages to really mess it up.
very unprofessional manager, we had many issues with our waitress within the first few minutes we were there. Asked for the manager, he came about ten minutes later, we asked for a different server, his reply was: we’re busy right now, I can’t get another server to your table but «I will keep an eye on you guys»…
SAY WHAT… I managed an O’charley’s a few years ago in Tennessee, I would fire you and your waitress within two seconds.
If you’re a server and your teeth and mouth are nasty looking, don’t come to my table, i’m here to EAT!
Would never come back here, I’d rather eat grass outside!
To GM or Nashville (if that’s still the headquarters of o’charley’s):
this location needs help, the MOD that was there on mother’s day should be retrained or fired, I didn’t catch his name because he never introduced himself when he came up with his «genius» solution.

Yet another good experience here. The fact that it’s FREE PIE night Wednesdays also helps. On nom mom!!!

Our waiter, Matt, provided exceptional service to us and we weren’t the easiest group to serve that night. Most us were indecisive about what we wanted, and we took forever to even to order our food. He kept the rolls coming and our drinks filled while everyone literally took their time deciding what to order.
I did take a star away just because the hostess was unprofessional not attentive and was more interested in talking to her co-​workers than acknowledging new people entering the door.

It was a little busy so it took a while to get our drinks and food. I ordered a steak and it was tough as nails. Struggled to even cut it with a knife. After telling a manager I got a quick replacement.
Food was ok. Nothing special. I will not return anytime soon. 70 bucks for 3 people and the foods only ok. Applebee’s 2 for 20 would have been better and that’s bad.
