Food is great. Server very very nice. Kitchen a bit slow but over all was pretty good to be so busy.

We were seated fast. Everything on the menu sounded great. I ordered one of their everyday specials. Biscuit, hash brown casserole and fried apples. This also comes with 2 biscuits. The biscuits here are so good. I asked for apple butter on the side, which is also so so good. This meal is only 4 and some change plus your beverage. Only complaint is our server really didn’t come around to check on us.

I am giving it 2 stars. 1 for the hostess being very unpleasant and 2 because the chicken pot pie was very dry and too hot to eat. I literally had to let it sit for 20 minutes to cool off.

Courteous staff. Food worthy of the cracker barrel name. Clean. High staff turnover. However, courtesy, peasantry abound along with great attitudes. The rub? My late wife and I and now my girl friend and I have been eating here since opening day and have enjoyed the place for years. In the past year wait times for orders have turned into noticeable backups in the kitchen. The few times I thought to complain I was told the manager was cooking. There were always consessions made on our check. It is a chronic situation. To sum it up, good food and front of house staff. Management is eager for your business but has back of the house problems. Be prepared to wait while being slathered with southern hospitality. Watch your wait times and complain to your server. The squeaky wheel does get the grease. Tip them good. It is not their fault. My girl friend and I eat out week nights. As much as we loved this placed we now must consider if we have time for this Cracker Barrell.

This was one of worst Cracker Barrel experiences ever! I went to this location near my office to have lunch with my mother. The server was forgetful, hard of hearing and generally useless from taking the order to bringing the check. Complained to the hostess and the manager had to bring the right food for example strawberry jam and biscuits she still brought out cornbread and butter. Instead of sugar cured ham she brought out salty country ham. I should have known from the beginning that I was in for it when I told her I can place the order now and she walks off, I’m thinking to get her pad or pen or something, 7 minutes later she returns with a glass of water!!! I guess order/water was confusing to her. We have gone to many Cracker Barrel restaurants especially on drives to Florida stopping on the way down and back and have never had such a bad experience and right near home so it was very disappointing. Finally the funniest thing about it is when you’re paying for the meal and the cashier robotically asks if everything was okay with your meal and you say No and explain and they just look at you nodding their head like whatever.

Nothing special about this place compare to the other ones I’ve been to in Jersey. Friendly service. Okay food. Good biscuits. Big portions and decently priced

I am writing this review with a heavy heart. I love Cracker Barrel, but my last experience was lackluster at best. My brother came down from New York and wanted to experience the feeling of getting a great country meal. I had explained how Cracker Barrel was one of the best places to go. When we got there, there was a lot of people. We didn’t mind waiting for the 20 – 25 minutes that the hostess promised. We waited about 35 minutes, but the anticipation of the good meal made us feel that it was worth the wait. When we sat down, we had a waiter who greeted us. He took our drink order and when my mother referenced that she wanted some hot tea, he inquired where she was from. I thought it was endearing at first. He proceeded to make a statement about her not being southern because she didn’t want iced tea. I was annoyed, but mom wasn’t phased. This was the start of a bad experience. When we placed our food order, the waiter made it seem like he understood our requests, but then he came back a few times to ask questions again. I promised that the food would be worth the wait. Bear with the lackluster service today. My family was upset, but i acted as a buffer before the waiter and then. When the food come out, the wrong things came out. My brother’s steak was overcooked and try. His egg order was wrong. My food cold and my pancakes were dry. My moms food was fine, but that was because she doesn’t want her food to be too hot. I had to send things back(which I have never done before) and the food came back. By the time it was corrected, my family was ready to leave. They vowed never to return to my beloved place.

This was one of the best cracker barrels around. We were seated promptly and the waitress was patient and friendly. The food was delicious and the bathroom was clean.

Our waitress was very, very attentive and friendly. I love coming to CB when coming down south,(I wish they would open 1 in NYC) they usually have great service and the food is great! Everything I’ve tried in their menu has been amazing, so you can never go wrong.

This place is a hit or miss. Every time I have been there was with a large group and I was not impressed with the server. If you have a large group like that, write down the order? Food was not all the great either. But this location was chosen a lot because of the monthly group function. Not for me.

Oh … where do I begin. We hadn’t been to our local country-fried Cracker Barrel since our daughter worked there many, many years ago. So when friends suggested CB for dinner, we said sure. Why not. They offer breakfast 24 hrs a day. If you don’t want burned pancakes and rare bacon … then go at breakfast time … or go to Denny’s. If you want a rare hamburger … go to four guys(around the corner). The waitress warned us they only do medium, but she didn’t tell us they were hard-as-a-rock DONE. Restaurant chains need to trust their suppliers. There’s something wrong if they don’t. Sure the manager asked if everything was OK, but way before the food was tasted. Yes, the waitress cheerfully replaced the burnt pancake and rare bacon. Yep the staff was cheerful and helpful. And yes, they have a great selection of nick-nacks in the store. Stick with the«comfort food» and you’ll be fine. Well … not fine. Just well fed. OK … not food that’s good for you … just filling … and inexpensive. [update: Five Guys closed. Go to Sibleys BBQ2 miles west on Rt10)

I absolutely love this place! The staff is friendly, and the restaurant is always clean. It’s one of the best breakfast spots in town. You get so much food for such a great value. I’ve never had lunch or dinner, but I’d imagine it’s just as good as breakfast. One of my favorites is the Country Boy Breakfast with steak and biscuits and gravy. The apple cider is awesome as well. The country store out front is pretty cool to waste time while you’re waiting to be seated. I always end up buying something when I tell myself that I shouldn’t. If you’re passing by or in town, you must stop in for a great home-cooked meal.

Had our Army ALC class breakfast here this morning at 0630. The staff was welcoming and cheerful not tired and grumpy lol. We used about five tables and had about 6 waitresses taking care of all of us(about about 30 – 36 of us) they kept our glasses full. With all of us there I was expecting slow service but we all received our food pretty fast and it was still hot. I forgot with breakfast plate I order but everything was good… the pancakes tasted so good, fluffy and crisp… tasted like a delicious funnel cake lol. All and all I will be going again when my family comes for my graduation. Great service and great food. At the register are little snacks for any occasion… I love jelly belly and had just about every different of them. I also pick up some great stocking stuffers. Went again Dec 17 around 730, food again was good and our waitress was nice as well.

Aweful, aweful place. The manager snubbed us, the waitress wrote us off. She was a four star waitress who completely ignored our needs. We come off a long drive, and there’s no offer of coffee, there’s no mention I till we order that their out of chicken and dumplings, their banner dish, and there’s no attempt to ever make things right.

Poor management for large groups. Way to dampen our celebratory mood for us, Cracker Barrel. And the mgmt didn’t even try to accommodate the groups of people including one who called in at 8:15(it was almost 11 when we left). Not recommended for a big group there. They didn’t care that multiple groups were unhappy. I think they rather have us leave than deal with seating groups. Totally incapable. I haven’t been back since… This used to be my favorite lunch place…

While on the road if you have time to sit down and eat something other then fast food this is a decent option. Had the fried chicken meal with carrots, green beans, and mashed taters. Chicken and taters with gravy were all solid, the beans and carrots were horribly overcooked and mushy. The salmon with pecans was a hit and the fruit salad was nice. They have a cool little general store with candy and knick knacks. The service was fine but the food is pretty underwhelming overall. I hope that the breakfast is much better but I will have to wait and see.

Went for Saturday morning breakfast. I was seated immediately and my server quickly appeared. I ordered the«uncle hershel» with chicken, grits, hashbrowns, and eggs. Food was served with minimal waiting. I don’t know if CB has altered what is offered as part of this breakfast or my server didn’t bring it, but I noticed no gravy was served. Good breakfast quickly served, just what I needed as I had little time to spare before going to work.
