We loved our visit here so much that we went 2 weekends in a row. I had the regular french toast with home fries and sausage and the hubby had the strawberry french toast with scrambled eggs and sausage. They were both delicious. I can’t forget about their delicious mimosas. They used fresh squeeze orange juice with made it so so so good!

1st time at this place. Multi-colored Reclaimed wood along the bar seating area, few wall art, old school chalk board menu display. The place is cute. Ordered the Strawberry French toast platter under the Breakfast section. The platter comes with 4 pieces of French toast, 2 eggs cooked to your preference, and 2 slices of Bacon/Sausage. My sister ordered the Chocolate chip pancake platter, which came with 2 chocolate chip pancakes, 2 eggs, and bacon. We had also ordered a side of Cornbeef hasbrowns. My French toast were so good, but my bacon were very small. It only seemed as if I got only one bacon slice and it was pretty thin too. As for my sister’s pancakes, when they sat the plate onto the table I could already smell the burnt chocolate from the pancakes, plus her bacon were just as small. I don’t know if anyone complained about how small the Bacon were. Anyways the hasbrowns were pretty good. Our server basically took our orders only, she never came back to ask us about how our food was, another waitor brought our food and brought out an egg that wasn’t presented on my sisters platter. Our waitress didn’t look busy bc she obviously had time to check if we got our food from afar and print out check out without asking us if we needed anything else. We literally just got our food, wtheck. I felt rushed, bc i wanted to order a orange mimosa as well. I think bc they closed at 3pm she wanted to get rid of her tables fast. Oh man did she really make our 1st experience horrible there. The food was decent, but I gave the place 2 stars bc of the small pieces of bacon served, my sisters burnt pancakes, they forgot to serve 2 eggs on my sisters platter, and our waitress was unattentive. Maybe I will come back, to try again, but my 1st impression is my last impression.

I was really excited to try Stacked from everyone’s reviews about it, but sadly to say my sister and I didn’t have a great experience here. After church, my sister and I decided to grab lunch and I recommended Stacked from reading the reviews I’ve seen on Unilocal.Stacked is located in Greenbrier where the Terebinth use to be located at(miss my macaroons) Anyways, as we walked in it took quite some time to get seated(taking pics. as we wait) Finally the owner noticed us as we were taking pics. of her restaurant for Unilocal, since she says oh you like my shop. We then get a table, and ordered our drinks and food from our waitress. My sister ordered the Strawberry French Toast platter, it comes with two eggs and two bacons. I ordered the Chocolate Chip Pancake platter with two eggs and two bacons. Also, orderd the Corn Beef Hashbrowns on the side. Our meal took about half an hour to come out. As we finally received our meal, my meal was not fully complete bc I only received one of my over easy eggs. The food runner did mention it would come out in a few minutes.(Thought that was weird, everything should come out together right?) When we received our platters, we noticed how small the bacon were(It was One Whole Bacon cut in half to make it look like it was two pieces of bacon.) Then, literally a few minutes later our waitress gives us our check without even asking if we needed anything else or checking if everything was okay.(As a waitress/waiter always ask customer if they need anything else before you hand them the check) Plus, it made my sister and I feel like we were being rushed after receiving the check that quick. As, she handed us the check I said excuse me miss, we actually wanted to order a Mimosa too please.(She then crumpled the check in front of us.) I also had told her about the bacon issue and she replies back«what would you like me to do, do you want me to bring you out more bacon?»(I would never ask a customer that, just bring it out to let customers come back in the near future) I told her no its okay, just maybe let them know that we noticed it and for next time. I also asked for extra napkins, and waited patiently but still had to ask a second time for her to give us napkins.(She now seemed to be annoyed) Finally trying out the food, my sister really enjoyed her Strawberry French Toast. It was deliciously made soft and light, topped with whipped cream and strawberries. But as for my dish, I was pretty disappointed since my Chocolate Chip Pancakes were overcooked(slightly burned), not fluffy nor tasty. Had to drench it with the Maple syrup, and didn’t even eat the other pancake. Had the Corn Beef Hashbrowns, which was the only thing that I really enjoyed eating. It was homemade with real potatoes and some Corn Beef mixed with some green peppers and onions, every bite was pretty delicious. Overall, I didn’t have a good experience here. It was awful customer service and I wasnt amazed by the food they prepared. I don’t like to complain much, but got to say this was the worse brunch I’ve ever had. I’d rather go to waffle house to be honest. Don’t think I’ll be coming back here.

SLOW…40 minutes for breakfast from the time we sat til the time we got our food. Corned beef hash was lacking in the Corned beef. It was all potatoes. This is the third time I’ve been, disappointed every time.

Walking into the high ceilings, the room Filled with several tables and its bar seating directly on the right side. There are but only 4 other customers seated. My first time here. Seemed quiet, and calm with music playing in the room. Maybe it’s good it’s not crowded. Waitress came and j was happy to hear about their special for $ 3.99. It has Two pancakes. I requested with blueberries, two eggs and bacon. It came out huger than I expected. It was made as a bigger portion than what I normally eat for a pancake. My husband ordered the steak and eggs. In my opinion it didn’t come out looking appetizing because the steak was rather thin to my liking and cooked a little over than a medium. It did taste fine. The potatoes, I was for warned of what to expect. It did fit the description of coming a little like cardboard. It wasn’t gross but it was not amazing. Overall I enjoyed my dish. My eggs were prepared right, bacon and pancakes. I’m not wowed but I did get to experience the«stacked.» I recommend it for those who want a simple breakfast. It’s not a wow factor but does the job in filling you completely with a large portion to go around.

This is a great spot for breakfast. Everything I’ve tried has been excellent. I haven’t been here for lunch yet, but I definitely plan on trying it.

Since we were due for a GDO/get together, it was time to have brunch with my girlfriends and we decided to come here. I was really excited to try this place out. It actually takes the place of what used to be Terebinth, the French macaron café/bistro. Stacked has a rustic, shabby chic type décor and it’s quite cute. Smallish establishment but the high open ceiling gives you an airy feel. I like all the wooden benches and the bar area is cool looking too. Bathroom is fairly clean but I DONOT like the toilet paper location. It’s hard to reach and annoying. The trash can is in a poor location, too. I just always think it should be by the door for sanitary purposes. No one wants to race to the door after opening it with a paper towel, tossing said paper towel, and then running to catch the door before it slams shut again! So on to my meal review… To start off, I ordered their OJ mimosa and Country Fried Steak with a side of corn and home fries. Because it was a Sunday and they were slammed it did take awhile for our food to come out. I was not impressed with the home fries. Why? Because it was overly fried, hard and tasted like it might have been sitting in the window a minute too long. Menu said it was seasoned but it was kinda bland. It was also dry. But hey — Nothing a few shakes of S&P and a couple dashes of hot sauce can’t fix! I still ate it all because it was better than the country fried steak(insert sad face here). Country fried steak had an interesting appearance as well as texture. Flavor once again was lacking. I hit it with more S&P and some hot sauce but I don’t know. It was weirdly gross. I couldn’t finish it. The OJ mimosa was good though!!! I wish I could have ordered another, and maybe I should have! My plate also came with a biscuit that I didn’t try. It looked and felt like it could be fluffy and delicious but I was already put off by the steak. The drained corn from a can was also lacking seasoning and could have used some butter lovin’. Ehhh… At the end of the meal, my girlfriends and I hung around longer to continue our gossip and a waitress(who we later found out is the owner) came to replenish our water glasses. As we were walking out, the owner stopped and spoke with us which I thought was a very super friendly gesture and was kind enough to take our picture. She said she was Taiwanese and us Filipinos and Vietnamese are neighbors. So cute. Because I’m a firm believer in second chances I will come back. I will not let my first meal experience here deter me from returning and trying something new.

Update: service is getting really slow. Not a fan of the straight egg french toast. No flavor. Blueberry pancakes are still legit

Earlier this week, I was asked by some coworkers to go to lunch with them to discuss an upcoming project. I had no idea where we were going, I just assumed we were heading to Abuela’s, our normal lunch spot close to the office. When we pulled up to Stacked, I was instantly drawn to the sign! As a graphic designer, it is so refreshing to see a sign designed so cleanly! Hats off to their marketing person/s. Moving on from my design boner… we walked in and it occurred to me that the location was once home to a bakery that I visited a few years back when looking for specific pie! The high ceilings, clean lines, and abundance of repurposed wood gives Stacked an industrial open feel with the smallest amounts of hipster sprinkled in. The service at Stacked was spot on. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. There wasn’t a moment during our lunch when our drinks got low… Hard to find that kind of service these days. While I’m thinking about the drinks, it’s worth noting that Stacked serves perfectly crushed ice with their beverages. Gotta love that. When it came time to order, I had my mind made up on one thing and then the waitress mentioned the daily special — chicken pot pie and a side for $ 7.99, I was instantly sold. I could not have been happier with my decision. The pot pie did not disappoint at all. The crust was perfectly cooked and the side of steamed broccoli was fresh and delicious. The portion size of the pot pie was very large, I hardly made a dent in it! One coworker ordered steak and eggs and the other ordered a monstrous south western chicken salad! Both looked amazing and my mouth was absolutely watering while eyeballing the hell out of the crispy hash browns served with the steak and eggs. Can’t wait to try them on my next visit. Overall, Stacked instantly jumped into my top 10 favorite places to eat in Chesapeake(not really sure if I even have 10 chesapeaje favorites). I will certainly be returning and in the meantime, I’m planning on spreading the word to my friends and family about the amazingness that is Stacked.

This is a cool little quick spot. We went in for breakfast. The atmosphere was open, clean, but like the other reviews, it is busy. The menu was simple. They didn’t allow substitutions. So if you wanted to add pancakes for instance to your omelette, you would just be making a separate order at full price. The food was decent, not amazing. I had a western omelette and this is first time the bacon, onions, and peepers seemed to be sautéed separate and then placed on the pancake like egg. Sort of like a wrap. The best part of this experience was definitely the service. Our waitress was attentive and entertaining. She told us several jokes. Overall it’s a cool quick stop that I would try again.

My dad recommended Stacked since he came here once before for lunch with coworkers. He raved about the fish and chips and suggested we go there for Sunday brunch, probably on one of the busiest days of the week for this restaurant. The tables were packed and a few bar chairs were open, but we opted to wait a few minutes for a table. The décor is very rustic chic lol. I’d pick this place for ambience and location over any chain breakfast restaurant any day. Once seated, we perused the menu and I, as usual, looked through the pictures on Unilocal to see what looked good. I wouldn’t consider myself a breakfast person, so I picked the Southern Burger. My dad went with the Chicken and Waffles. It took nearly an hour to get our food delivered to the table, but while we waited, the staff reassured us our food would be ready soon. After receiving our food, they still apologized for the food being late and thanked us for our patience! They stated the main reason the wait took so long was because they only had ONE waffle maker. Hm… The Southern Burger is quite a hefty burger, and the toppings make it what it is: thick bacon, fried green tomatoes, cheddar cheese, and all that grease! The fries were warm and bland from sitting around. The chicken and waffles were alright… Nothing special but at least they were fresh. I had to dock a star off because of the way the restroom is set up. Working in healthcare, I’m very attentive to the way the sink, trash can, and door handle is set up. The trash can is on the other side of the sink and you have to step on a pedal to open it up. This makes it easy to touch the door handle with unwashed hands, and I certainly don’t want all those germs preparing my food! Would I come back? Maybe, if I had to compare it with the other local«breakfast and brunch» competition.

Reading through the reviews, it seems like Stacked has either really great or really abysmal moments. Neither myself, nor my parents or beau were very impressed. To be fair, Egg Bistro is the measuring stick against which I compare all breakfast joints. Sadly, Stacked didn’t quite stack up(see what I did there.). On a Sunday at noon, the place was about 60% filled. We met my folks there who had already been seated, and ordered a Bloody Mary and tea. They also offer Mimonsas(not sure what those are, but I guess it’s just a misspelling in the menu). The atmosphere is decent. I really like the décor, but at 60% capacity it was still very loud. I needed a few minutes to look over the menu, it being our first venture. They have quite a lot to choose from at lunch time since they offer breakfast all day. The hardest decision is choosing 2nd breakfast or lunch. Our neighbor’s orders arrived while we were looking which helped make up our minds. Between us, we tried a honey ham skillet, french toast platter, pecan pancake platter and blueberry pancake platter. I’ll begin with the good — tasty french toast, ham and the eggs, when cooked correctly, were fine as well. They also offer sugar free syrup, which I appreciate. The bad had the upper hand this morning. My dad’s eggs, ordered over medium, were over hard. His skillet potatoes were unevenly cooked. Some too crispy, others too oily, and had little seasoning. The bacon, ordered extra crispy, was wimpy and greasy. My pancakes were also raw in the middle and had to be sent back. My dining companions were long past finished when my cooked order arrived. They were decent, but VERY dense and heavy — almost like corn cakes. Our server, though friendly, was inattentive at times. We waited with empty coffee and tea glasses and had to flag down another server to assist us with refills that were promised 15 minutes prior. I wouldn’t say no if a friend wanted to return, and would likely try some of the lunch offerings. I probably won’t make an effort to go back on my own.

The place was crowded, at noon on a Wednesday and some customers waited for a seat. I waited to have my water refilled and I waited and I waited. I ordered the fried chicken special with two sides. I have to say the chicken was very well done. My favorite part is always the skin and I am happy to report the skin was perfectly coated, crunchy and flavorful. I had broccoli and fries as my side. Both delicious but nothing to write home about. Now the biscuit that was on my plate. It was dry, hard to eat and without water I couldn’t finish it. The tables are too close together having my lunch companion constantly being bumped not only by other patrons but staff members too reaching to fill up Other water glasses — boy was I parched! I recommend removing a table or two to make things more comfortable for everyone. I will only come back because I want to try the French toast. Other than that I felt like I was in a sardine can.

This is a nice cozy lil spot. The wooden block tables gives it a country feel to me. I didn’t like that the greeter/seater chose to seat us way in the back of the restaurant completely bypassing 3 – 6 empty tables. I don’t know what that was about but if I come back I’ll make sure to pay more attention. The homemade corned beef hash had REAL corned beef in it and tasted amazingly good, I doubt I’ll be able to eat that regular processed corned beef hash again. Overall the food was really good and priced very reasonably.

Five star reviews come from experiences when I am just so thrilled and ecstatic. Breakfast there was truly amazing. I had the O face with every single bite. All for under $ 10? Yes, please, may I have another? The picture does this review justice. Two super fluffy and thick pancakes with caramel, whipped cream, bananas, and walnuts… Every. Single. Bite. Damn. You. Were. So. Good. This meal was so good I wanted to cry. Oh and I should add that the staff was friendly and the décor is bright and inviting. A very comforting place to enjoy a breakfast this amazing.

Breakfast and lunch til 3 I believe. I came in for lunch around 1 p.m. and was searching for a lunch item. But when I discovered that it was lunch all day it was Hip Hip Horray my chance to try their french toast. I’ve eaten a lot of french toast and many different eateries and this was amazing. And it really is prepared simply and presented the same way. No fruit or fancy syrups, Just warm maple syrup presented in a tiny single serve pitcher and butter. The price cannot be beat at $ 5.49 for 5 pieces and almost $ 8 for a platter with meat and eggs. FYI one day a week that platter is under $ 5 so check the website. The ladies next to me enjoyed their fried chicken. One was on her first visit and the other was on her second visit(both in the same week). The 2nd-time customer did say that the sweet tea could stand to be a bit sweeter. LOOK at my FRENCHTOAST pictures! FYI Terebinth was previously in this location. Everything looks very similar but very nicely refaced.

If you’re here for breakfast, I would suggest that you have the breakfast special. I did and it was good, it was a lot and it was cheap! French Toast with two eggs and sausage or bacon. Eggs over easy were nice and soft and runny, just the way I wanted them. Excellent. The French Toast was a little crispy but still cut nicely with the side of my fork and it soaked up the syrup perfectly. The sausages were okay. A few burps later in the morning, but tasty and spicy. Not bad for $ 5!

I stumbled upon this place on Unilocal because I was looking for a new brunch place. I’m so glad this place opened because there aren’t too many brunch places in Chesapeake that are pretty good! It’s a very small establishment, and when busy, the staff is unable to clean tables and floors quickly enough. However, I’ve been able to get a table right away both times I dined at this restaurant. I would say their service is okay. Your orders can take a while to be prepared depending on the amount of customers. The servers also tend to switch tables often, which can confuse customers. As for the food, I highly recommend the strawberry French toast. It is so fresh and light that I was able to eat the entire thing! The sides were okay with eggs and bacon, typical breakfast food. My boyfriend got the Reuben sandwich, which was amazing! The corned beef was so fresh and not dry at all. It literally melts in your mouth! I’ve also tried the fried green tomatoes, which were okay but I could use a different sauce. The food is great, but I would recommend the service and cleanliness improve a bit.

Stacked Eatery has become quite the go-to place for myself and many co-workers. It’s within walking distance of our offices, service is fast and the food is good and plentiful. I often stop in for a quick breakfast sandwich to take back to the office and about once a week for lunch. BTW they make an excellent burger. As I understand it they’re going to be expanding hours past 3pm later this spring or early summer and start serving dinner as well as stocking a full bar. I’m looking forward to that dinner menu.

This was definitely one of my favorite discoveries. Stacked Eatery is just amazing! The restaurant is a little on the small side, but there’s still enough room to move around and too feel like you’re not crowded by the other tables. The dining space feels very open and spacious. Everyone was very friendly to us and greeted us with a smile. I appreciated the cheerful attitude everyone had. The food was absolutely delicious! I got the chicken and chips with honey mustard sauce. The chicken strips tasted crispy and fresh. I really enjoyed the whole plate. And you can never go wrong with honey mustard! I’m definitely planning on coming back again to try more!
