Had such a great meal at Nobo. Great sushi and an amazing pear martini. Will definitely return.

This place is the best! The environment is clean and elegant and food is just fantastic! Everything we ordered had exceeded our expectations. The presentation of every course is very beautiful and neat like a fancy restaurant yet reasonably priced. The staff is nice. You don’t wait too long for the food to be served. It is now our weekly go to place on weekends!

Good place, drinks are great, food is delicious. Not your typical type of American Chinese food but very good!

Excellent food and service. What’s missing from these reviews is the fact they also serve sirloin steak, pork loin, lamb and duck. So if you’re going there with a friend who doesn’t particularly like sushi there are delicious alternatives.

Came here with a huge crowd, the service was amazing and they had no problem giving us all separate checks. Food came out quickly and fresh. Prices are fair. Staff is extremely accommodating and helpful. Plenty of parking. Can’t wait to come back again!

Need a place that you can go to and find awesome food, a great family atmosphere, and friendly staff??? Well Nobo is the place to go! In Chelmsford, MA, a family owned restaurant where the family pours their heart and time into is a jewel indeed. Tiffany and her brother John made a long work day relaxing and enjoyable– it could have only been better if my mom was cooking for me — mom don’t read that part… My colleague and I found this place yesterday and are back again tonight. Who wouldn’t be after having what we had last night!!!

Fantastic variety and unbelievably fresh maki rolls. Our group of 4 ordered the Chelmsford roll, veggie gyoza, bacon wrapped shrimp and scallop dinner and a roll sampler and we shared. We were all thrilled with the selection, size and taste of our food. 2 of us ordered Mai Tais because they were so highly recommended on Unilocal but they were VERY strong almost to an overpowering, unpleasant to drink level. After that we had mango martinis which were much better. I love that there’s another great restaurant option on Chelmsford. I love Fishbones but when we need to mix it up this will be my go-to! Highly recommend!

This place is right down the street from my boyfriends’, and we’ve become regulars at Nobo. Takeout is our usual routine because our schedules are both so hectic, but sitting at the bar or in the dining room are great too! Never been disappointed with anything on the menu– drinks included! If you like sushi, the Chelmsford Roll is TODIEFOR. It’s the perfect mix of texture and flavor, smooth and crunchy, sweet with a little zing of spice. If not, I strongly recommend the Kobe Beef Egg Rolls.

Came here with my sister during off-hours for a spur of the moment lunch. Apparently they’ve been around for a bit over a year, but this was the first I’d heard of them. First: WOW, the interior design is awesome. This place is pretty chic looking, and it is really nicely put together. From the lounge to the bar to just general seating, this place looks like a great location for an intimate meal or a big party. I guess their slant on things is a «modern» spin on asian fusion? Whatever that means? Don’t expect anything authentic but that doesn’t mean it’s bad. We had some sort of steamed pork bun slider appetizer that was kind of a letdown(I had something similar out on the west coast that was 100x better) because there was barely any meat in it and mostly scallions. But the sushi was great, the fish was fresh, and the drinks were tasty. The only downside was despite being so empty(there were only two other tables at the time, and this place is huge, so it felt even MORE empty), it took ages for the server to get back to us for every step, especially when we wanted to order some dessert. I’m looking forward to going back, maybe for dinner next time.

The owners are such nice people, you can’t beat the décor and the food is really fresh which you need to have if you are going to eat sushi. We do take out sometimes but I try to eat in at Nobo as much as I can so I can have their drinks.

Love this place went last night. Pricing is reasonable and sushi is fresh. Waiters are attentive and dessert was awesome. We had torch sushi, pineapple mist, mango mist, bento box, chicken lettuce wraps and tempura ice cream all yummy

The host is so awesome. I always feel so welcomed when I walk in. The food is excellent and the drink menu and prices are decent. Unfortunately I waited 50 minutes for 2 sushi rolls when the place only had 15 guests give or take. It made me not want to go back, and a shame because I love the sushi.

Update: Nobo is still our favorite restaurant. They accommodated a large group of us for a recent birthday celebration. The waitress was super personable, the drinks were delicious, and the sushi as tasty as it is beautiful. Best of all the bill didn’t break the bank.(In fact we ordered takeout three days later!) We are forever fans of Nobo!

Absolutely awesome. Ate there tonight for the first of likely many times. Service was A+. Food was A+. Atmosphere was a B+. I have two teenage daughters with celiac disease(= Gluten free x10). Nobo host was very knowledgable about gluten free restrictions as well as the menu. Most of Nobo’s menu can be made gluten free, and my family was confident in their claims because both the host and our waitress demonstrated knowledge in this area and offered choices and tradeoffs where appropriate to accommodate a gluten free diet. The food was awesome. Not only does Nobo add a unique twist to traditional Japanese fare, the quality, quantity and presentation of the food was surprisingly good. Our server was great and our meals were prepared well. This area of MA needs more high quality eateries like Nobo.

I’ve returned several times over the year and I have consistently been treated with a friendly and professional manner. This family owned and operated business has blown my expectations by operating as a more formal, but still comfortable establishment. The menu is quite expansive with many pan-Asian dishes. I have had several dishes and all were very good. My personal favorites are the amazingly juicy and crispy wings and their hearty soup dishes. I’ve come to know the family and they have a deep history in the restaurant business that spans decades. It shows in their work ethic and appreciation for fantastic customer service. I cannot recommend this establishment enough!

My family and I went there for the first time the the other night. I love sushi and my family loves the other asian faire. I had one simple request. My daughter and I both have sever allergies to tuna. When I told the server, she had the audacity to say«We serve sushi and can not guarantee tuna will not touch your plate. I suggest you go elsewhere»… So we did. Thank you to Feng Shue in Chelmsford to dealing with our allergies.

Move over Sushi Yanagi, I’ve found a new favorite sushi joint in Chelmsford! I’ve been meaning to check this place out since its opening earlier this year but for some reason, we never got a chance to. We went around 9PM and the place was pretty busy. There are 2 sides, one is more of a lounge and the other is a dining area with a sushi bar where you can sit and watch the chefs prep maki rolls and sushi boats. I started off with a pear martini and my husband went with the sake flight sampler. The martini was very tasty. so I had two! I thought the names and descriptions of the sake on the label sheet was neat. and helpful. You can’t go to a Japanese or «Modern Asian Cuisine» and not try their sushi maki rolls. They had a great selection of standard rolls as well as some interesting creations, ‘The Firework,” «The Buddhist», «The Emperor.» We settled for«The Cape» which has softshell crab, avocado, cucumber, topped off with lobster salad and tobiko. It was delicious! The roll had a generous amount of seafood and was presented nicely. My husband loves eel so we tried«The KoMOdo» which has shrimp tempura and topped of with eel, avocado, cucumber and black caviar. The dish was less glamorous compared to its rivalry nearby but the combination of the crunchy shrimp along with the soft eel and avocado was perfect. On the cold starters menu, we tried the Jalapeño hamachi which is yellowtail sashimi and jalapenos with a ponzu sauce. It was just OK and I should have stuck with my favorite, pepper crusted tuna. Next time! After we got our sushi fix, we moved on to hot starters and entrees. When I took a bite into the grilled shishito peppers, I knew I was gonna pay for it the next day. It was good but too much to handle. The lettuce wraps were my least favorite. My #1 preference still goes out to P.F. Changs. I think the chicken breast was too big and dry. By this time, we couldnt order a main entrée. I was intrigued by the grilled lamb rack and the double cooked duck breast but we knew we wouldn’t be able to finish it. I will definitely be back to try those items! In lieu of an entrée, we got bacon fried rice to share. It was a bit on the bland side but the dish was light and the bacon wasn’t overwhelming. I think it was a bit overpriced at $ 12.95 for a small portion. At the end of our meal, the server surprised me with a song and green tea mochi’s.(She knew it was my bday because we got carded. oh how I felt so young!) How I love mochi’s. They are like little balls of heaven filled with ice cream. Verdict: We would definitely be back. Although I could do without the bacon fried rice and lettuce wraps, I did enjoy the drinks and the maki rolls. I dont think we would become regulars as our bill was about $ 170.00 after tip and taxes but we would definitely go for a celebratory dinner for a birthday or anniversary.

Great atmosphere. Everyone was very friendly. We ordered crab rangoons and edamame to start and those were delish. I got shrimp tempura maki rolls and those were delish too. My husband got 3 different sushi rolls and he thought they were kinda small.
