One of the best meals that I’ve ever eaten. My wife and I were in Chattanooga on an anniversary trip and tried the Meeting Place based off of their reviews. THEFOODWASAMAZING!!! I highly recommend eating here(we ate downstairs but apparently theres a bar area upstairs too).

Great people — service at the bar was great — good knowledge and great dinner recommendations. Had the shrimp rolls(so good) and then trout and grits — outstanding! Crispy skin on and cooked perfectly — well done chef! Will definitely be back.

This place provided a nice special meal for a girls weekend. Everything we ordered was tasty. The waiter was also very nice and patient in answering our many questions. Small Plates: Celery root & parsnip ragout, over crusty bread, topped with over easy egg– This dish tasted good, but my issue was that the veggies was lukewarm, not hot. Fried Veal sweetbreads– This was like a tasty chicken nugget. Goes down easily whether you know what it is or not. I was a little skeptical about eating sweetbreads(usually not a fan of innards/offals), but I’m a fan of this version. Complimentary potato sourdough bread and sorghum butter– So good! The butter was lightly sweet, like honey butter. The waiter was also nice enough to also get us some rosemary bread from the sister restaurant next door, but I thought the potato sourdough complemented the butter better. Sigh… I’m going to dream about this butter for a while. Big Plate: Beef cheek– This dish was so tender and flavorful, and that’s something coming from a person who doesn’t usually eat beef. Our waiter introduced this dish as something his grandma would make, and I think that’s an apt description. The green beans & savoy cabbage were cooked very well with slight char and salted just right. Dessert: Chocolate and peanut butter roulade(roll cake), with poppy seed banana ice cream. The ice cream was the star of this dish, even though it was just on the side. I felt like the roulade was a little too rich, and couldn’t eat a lot of it. But that ice cream… yum! What an unique combination. Also got a Kaliber nonalcoholic beer(got a bun in the oven, so not supposed to imbibe the real stuff). I’m going to have to find some back in Atlanta. This place is legit. Definitely would recommend to folks visiting Chattanooga and want a special meal.

Incredible! Have only been there once, but everything was five star from the food to the service. My fave place thus far in Chattanooga. You hardly notice it on Market, except that is is has a cute orange store front. The only thing I would suggest is to add some color in there. It’s all black, which doesn’t appeal to me. I would paint the walls the same orange as the outside and hang colorful art work. I had the filet mignon with green beans and horseradish mashed potatoes. My husband had the burger. Best burger and fries which were golden brown yum! For an appetizers we had the shrimp roll, which are actually tiny sandwiches on Neidlove bakery bread. The salad greens were to die for! Melt in your mouth lettuce and a mild, but wonderful flavor! Can’t wait to go again! Try happy hour if you don’t plan to drop 70 to 110 for dinner.

Holy cow! This place is fantastic. We started with shrimp rolls, tar tar and ceviche. All three were great. I don’t usually get chicken at restaurants but the description was too good not to. It was a great decision. The sauce was amazing. I highly recommend it.

Innovative and well made cocktails to compliment the amazing and likewise creative food. This side is more casual than it’s white tablecloth counterpart, but the food is just as awesome with more of a pub/bistro feel. Fries topped with béchamel, short ribs, and foie gras? Don’t mind if I do. Pork Belly Sliders, Duck Confit and Johnny Cakes, Beef tartare. Man, I can’t wait to go back! Just bring plenty of friends so you can share multiple dishes because it is hard to decide.

I travel extensively and the meal & service that I had at St. John’s Meeting Place was second to none. Service was very professional and the food was perfectly prepared. The food ingredients tasted very farm fresh. I had the chicken dish which was high quality free range chicken. The décor & music is very hip & fun. I highly recommend !

I don’t think it’s possible for the kitchen at St. John’s to churn out a bad meal, but for my $ 110 I wanted something a little better than what I got. We went to St. Johns for the first time a couple of months ago and were ab-so-lutely blown away by the food. It lived up to the hype, for sure. So, we decided to try the Meeting Place as we didn’t feel like going super fancy. Waiter was great, drinks were good, but the food, while still good, just wasn’t worth the cost. The flavors and textures that mesmerized me at St. John’s were lacking here. Having said that, we will definitely give it another try, I’d hate to write this place off if the chef was just having a bad night.

Interesting experience. I felt The waiter was a TAD impatient with my questions BUT he answered them and I feel we ended up having a good dinner time.

Came here last night for dinner. After we sat down at the upstairs bar it took a few minutes to initially get some drink menus. 5 min later the bartender finally made her way back to us to take our drink order. My husband received his and was nearly done with his cocktail before I received mine. We ordered three small plates: Truffle Mac n cheese with kale and speck– crunchy cheese crust(overly salty), kale seemed out of place and no speck or truffle taste to mention Prosciutto, olive, mustard plate– 2 pieces of prosciutto; just ok, I wouldn’t order again if I came back Truffle honey blue cheese– we’ve ordered this before and it’s consistent By the time I had received my cocktail my husband ordered another(noticing how long it took for me to get mine). We finished all of our food before he even received his drink. We had intended on staying for dinner but the bartender was overwhelmed by the amount of patrons on this particular evening and couldn’t keep up. So I sat there; no food, no drink(because it’d take another 10– 15 min), waited for my husband to finish his and we left. Disappointed to say the least.

Space is nice but a little odd, really not all that conducive to conversation. Crispy brisket was very good, but hamburger was still raw in the middle. Not in some type of medium rare way but like it had been frozen possibly and didn’t thaw completely into it was Cooked

I am never disappointed by this place. On this visit I got the delicious summertime sangria to start with. It was so good, I just had to order another one before happy hour ended. My husband got the Spanish red wine on the happy hour menu. It was very good as well. Then my husband and I split the heirloom tomato salad. As an entrée we both ordered the vegan dish. Wow! What a combination of unique flavors. That’s one of the things it always amazes me about this place. The chef makes such unique combinations of flavors to create extraordinary dishes. Even though we were pleasantly full, we just had to try a sampling of some of their interesting ice cream flavors: black pepper crème fraîche, s’mores, and basil(our favorite). I will definitely go back again and again and again.

Friday night 7 O’Clock, no reservation and no problem. They were busy but there was no wait for a table. Service was exceptional Wine list was extensive with lots of great values. My wife had the Friday night special, Spaghetti and meatballs and loved it, It really was crazy good. I had the Wagyu Beef Steak which was amazing. For dessert we had the Carrot Cake Soufflé and, and, wow. Beautiful space and the bar upstairs looks very inviting. We will be back

I am at a loss for words. Superlatives escape me. Best meal of my life. We had a reservation but the restaurant was relatively empty on Tuesday at 8. Our server was attentive and ready to help without being intrusive. The wine list was thorough but the sangria was uniquely fresh and refreshing. Dinner. Heirloom tomato salad. Bacon wrapped quail with POLENTACAKE and trout with jalapeño grits. The quail dish was nothing short of amazing. We almost ordered another side of the polenta cakes. They would be worth the trip alone. The trout was fresh and well prepared but paled beside the quail. Dessert was unparalleled. Carrot cake soufflé with crème cheese anglaise. I will never come to or through Chattanooga without eating here.

If you are a foodie, this place will absolutely satisfy your palette. Nice atmosphere and staff. I went for a casual business dinner and shared a number of small plates for my meal. We tried a specialty blue cheese that was made locally in TN and it was delicious. Also had the Chilean sea bass ceviche and pork belly tacos. Very very good. For dessert, the peach cobbler was amazing and had a lot of sweet fresh fruit. Definitely will come back again next time I’m in town.

One of the best meals you will ever experience in Chattanooga. It’s the one place my wife and I don’t mind paying for a higher price meal, because we know that every time they create amazing dishes. They make a mean Caipirinha! One of the only places in town that I’ve found them. The service is usually great. Our waitress on this occasion was a little over the top with niceness(seemed fake), but we’d much rather have that than the opposite. We started the with the pork belly tacos. They were tender, juicy, flavorful, and simple. The zesty sauce added a nice touch and mild kick. I had the the bacon wrapped quail with fried polenta, kale salad, and a charred peach. Words don’t do this dish justice. I’m tempted to order this every time. Do yourself a favor and order it. You won’t be disappointed. My wife had the roasted chicken with gnocchi. The chicken was perfect — juicy and exploding with flavor. Their gnocchi is the best I’ve had in town as well. Another dish we would order every time. I had a berry and peach cobbler with ice cream for dessert. It was good. My wife had the carrot cake soufflé. Not sure if we would order dessert again. It’s good, but not up to par with the rest of their small and large plates. Overall, you just can’t find a more delicious meal in Chatt. My wife and I will be dining at St. John’s MP every month.

This is probably one of the best meals I have had in a really long time. The service was great. The food was fresh and delicious. The«clean» taste of the vegetables and meats reminds you how food is supposed to taste. I can not say enough good things about this place. Started with Ceviche. The fish was perfect, and the complimenting vegetables(Avocado, Zucchini, radish) were tasted«clean and fresh». Wife had chicken, and I had Pork rice. The menu is created with what the restaurant can source fresh, and the flavor tells it all. I would go back here again, and again.

Absolutely fantastic place! The wagyu beef burger was made to perfection(not an easy feat). The margarita and Paloma cocktails were unique and right on. The roasted chicken breast with potato gnocchi is one of the best dishes I’ve ever had, and the salad is extremely fresh. I recommend this place without question or reservation(you definitely want to call ahead lol)!

Fresh menu with great chefs. Lots of options and Good drinks. I had the filet which was perfectly cooked. The wife’s gnocchi was the best we have tasted. Try the honey truffle charcuterie. Service is fantastic. My water glass never got past ½ empty.
