The manager sat down and chatted with us about Tennessee and hiking and was the sweetest! My jalepeno BLT with an egg or something was DELICIOUS! Definitely try one of their special teas! Super cute décor and atmosphere! A little high on the price range but I thought it was worth it! Free parking in garage and around restaurant on Saturdays!

Rosemary Peach Lemonade has to be the highlight of my meal each time I come here. Sweet, refreshing, and just a little tang that is completely unique. My typical choice for my entrée is their veggie burger. Unfortunately the last time I dined at Tupelo Honey they were out, but my alternate choice of the Southern Belle Grilled Cheese was amazing!

Tupelo Honey is generally disappointing. I always feel like the food is overpriced and unappetizing.

Cute fun vibe walking into this place. Service was very sweet but service was very slow. Our food was ok, we decided we would probably not try it again. Three of us ate lunch for $ 49

The wait staff is dryer than the biscuits, and the food is about as plain as the people that frequent this place. Save your time, and your money. If you’re at warehouse row just go to Public house.

Underwhelming food and WAY overpriced! Especially considering this restaurant is a chain. If you are considering this place, stop. Now go check out one of Chattanooga’s unique and local restaurants, like Clydes, The Feed, or Public House-similar menus and in close proximity to Tupelo Honey, but local and way way way better/worth your time and money.

Ya know, I work upstairs. I really would love to go here a lot. The waitstaff… great. Drinks… Great and the food is pretty okay but I have to get this out there. A. very overpriced for the trendy menu items that aren’t executed well. B.3 times in a row I have waited 50 minutes plus for my food C. I had uncooked chicken today, they offered to comp, i declined and rather than insisting they just said fine. D. They have to learn how to handle a rush, everyone is a bit frazzled it seems. Mostly the kitchen. Biscuits are great though, but the kitchen has to turn it up a lot of notches, my office doesn’t see this as a lunch option because you are for sure there an hour and a half plus, for the price not worth it.

I called to check on reservations and was treated very rudely on the phone! I do not know anything about the food, but the way I was treated was uncalled for!

Loved the Gouda grits and my husbands pancakes were the same size as the plate. Delicious brunch for weekend.

Had lunch there today — was reluctant based on a not-so-great prior experience but my co-workers talked me into it. Ordered a simple hamburger — plain with cheese. I just hate garden and wet stuff(mayo, mustard — etc. — just a preference but feel free to call me Meg Ryan if you want). The super friendly waitress, who was awesome, even clarified that I didn’t want anything else. I said — yes — just meat, cheese, bun. Burger came out loaded with all kinds of extras, which she immediately noticed, apologized, and took it back. When it came back the«chef» had simply scraped off the mustard, pickles, and everything else — instead of replacing the mustard-soaked bun. Tried a few bites but it just wasn’t right — especially for a $ 12 burger. She offered to take it back a third time but to me that’s asking for trouble — chef’s always blame the customer and I don’t even want to think about what someone who can’t follow instructions(twice) might do to my food — so I declined having it re-made or ordering something else. I know — I have friends who are chefs. They hate it when people send things back. The upside is the waitress could not have been more apologetic or helpful. I said it wasn’t her fault, didn’t make a big deal about it, and just ate their free bisquit and when we were done, went next door and ordered lunch at a sushi place — who always gets the order correct. I won’t be going back here again. Decent service, bad kitchen.

Quick visit in Chattanooga and I wanted a delicious brunch. This place wasn’t too far from the hotel and had good reviews so I paid them a visit. Great choice! Before your meal they bring a warm biscuit with jam and honey. I love honey on my biscuits! I ordered the chicken and biscuits and added a fried egg for $ 1. The portion was quite large and the flavor was amazing. I love pepper so this dish was great!

I got a call for a lunch celebration for my cousin. When I asked where, I was told«Tupelo Honey». My responses was something along the lines of «what did you say?» Lucky for me, Google knew where it was. When I look to Unilocal for restaurant recommendations, I’m looking more for food quality than atmosphere, location, etc. So I’ll just say that the restaurant was nice, clean and had a good vibe. I reviewed most of the menu, but shrimp and grits got my attention. It may be a fault, but that item always gets my attention. I feel like adding this item to your menu and failing to deliver speaks volumes about the kitchen. Tupelo Honey delivered quite well on this dish. They added a red pepper sauce that included creole seasoning. It was quite spicy and the shrimp was also prepared well. In my experience, there are few restaurants worthy of a five star review and Tupelo Honey is no exception. However, it is a solid 4!

This place is so good! You can tell they care about the little things… Like great service, awesome tea, little biscuits etc… It was such a great atmosphere and so clean. Order the fried green tomatoes for sure(the bomb)! Can’t wait until the Denver spot opens!!! I will be a regular that’s for sure!

I got the Southern poutine scramble– potato cracklins was lightly crispy and very tasty. The side kale and carrot salad was meh– had no flavor. Toast was hard and way too buttery. I liked the main part of the dish and would order it again. The complimentary biscuit was ok, but nothing special. My issue is that I asked the waiter to swap out the onions for mushrooms, but the dish came out with… onions. Oh wells… perhaps my young male server will learn.

First time here and I must say this place was on point. Nice ambience and friendly staff. I ordered the grill chicken sandwich with cranberry mayo. The bread was nicely toasted and the chicken was juicy. I would definitely order this again.

My favorite part of the meal for me is always the biscuit. I visit Tupelo Honey Café infrequently(we live in Atlanta) so I forget it comes out before the meal. Then, I’m faced with a choice, do I eat the biscuit or not? If I eat the biscuit, I’ll be full before my meal. But if I don’t eat the biscuit… who am I kidding… why wouldn’t I eat the biscuit!!! After the biscuit, I am happy that I carb-consciously ordered the Appalachian Bounty Scramble. Usually unimpressed with scrambles, I was pleasantly surprised by the taste profile created by the eggs, sausage, blueberries, kale and Havarti cheese. The sweet potato pancake is always a hit with my kid. She gulfed it down… granted, it was slathered in butter and drenched in syrup… Whenever we visit, I always have a pleasant experience at Tupelo Honey Café. The service is great, my coffee cup never goes empty and the food is consistently on par.

I have now been to two locations of Tupelo Honey Café, Asheville & Chattanooga, and I must say it is consistently a great brunch spot! This past weekend in Chattanooga, our group of 6 was seated very promptly. We were actually running a few minutes behind and had a seat waiting when we got in. This may not seem like a big plus to some, but I also loved that they had a free parking lot available at a restaurant in the heart of a downtown area. Being from Nashville, that is something I realize is not always a given. The food was awesome! I started with a coffee and some delicious biscuits and jam. I got the country breakfast, which came with your choice of eggs, meat, goat cheese grits or potatoes, and a small kale salad. I had the scrambled eggs, bacon, and grits, and it was a fabulous choice! Such a good combination of flavors, and I really enjoyed the variety! Often with egg dishes, I get tired of just egg. But this gave me lots of other options to switch it up! My friend got a sweet potato pancake that was also great! It was much bigger and more filling than we expected from the description of «one» pancake. It may have been just one pancake but it was larger than a dinner plate! It did inspire me to try my hand at making some at home!

Flavor is supreme. The creative combinations were unique and everything came out fresh and top notch. The sweet potato pancake was amazing. Fluffy with nice crispy edges. The peach butter was a perfect match with the pecans. Perfect treat on a brunch date. Add the fried chicken and you’re over the top fabulous. We also tried the Appalachian Scramble. The combination of arugula, sausage and the blueberries was incredible. The blueberries gave a unique treat in the flavor combo — kinda surprised your taste buds when you’re eating an egg dish. Finally, service was exactly what I would expect from southern sweet comfort. Very nice and prompt. They made the meal enjoyable and were all a delight.

I came here with a group a couple of weeks ago. It was only a few days after they remodeled, and the place looks great. The wait wasn’t too long and we were seated quickly. Everything on the menu looks amazing and the biscuits are delicious. I ordered the biscuits eggs Benedict. Before your food comes out they bring biscuits to the table, it was a bit of an overload, but oh well. Our waitress was awful. Hate to say it, but she was completely oblivious and actually did not put our order in to the kitchen at all. There were 2 tables around us that were seated, served, and left before we had even received our food. We were so caught up in our conversation since we had not seen each other in a while, but I realized it had been 50 minutes since we ordered and no food came out, our waitress had even been over to check on us a couple of times, but completely ignored the fact that we still didn’t have food. I grabbed the manager up front and let her know, she was mortified. I saw her run to the kitchen and personally make sure our food was being made on the fly, and she brought us complimentary French toast for our trouble. Clearly it was only the fault of the waitress, and this was not typical. The food was awesome and the manager gave us a huge discount on our bill and even gave us each free etched souvenir glasses. We left very happy with the experience, and we will for sure be back.

Popped in for a moms night out. The décor and atmosphere is just perfect for us uh ehm 40 something moms. Our waiter was kind of quirky and at first not the friendliest but he warmed up to us and we were on good terms by mid meal. He was very helpful to my friend trying to decide on a beer on tap. He was very knowledgeable and even brought her a sample of an IPA without her asking. I had one of their signature cocktails, the blueberry beauregarde and it was fabulous. I just wish it was bigger. They start everyone with their huge biscuits. Surprising they were just as yummy at night as in the morning. For my meal I ordered the fried green tomato appetizer and a side salad. Both were delicious. I personally think fried green tomatoes are difficult to get right. These had a beautiful breading, perfectly fried to a crispy brown and they weren’t soaking in grease which seems to be common with them. They were laying on a bed of cheese grits and some kind of spicy red pepper aoli. It was very tasty all together. Side salad was«fancy» lettuce and a few other bobbles of pickled red onion and cherry tomatoes. What made it special was the dressing. I couldn’t decide on one so I get the pecan vinegrette and the blue cheese on the side. I still can’t tell you which one was my favorite. I think I are them equally, they were both fantastic. This is a solid choice for dinner or breakfast. I only took a star off because it is a little overpriced. But won’t keep me from coming here!
