Freaking bad service! I ordered to go and had to wait quite awhile for my order. I guess they don’t know the flow of their orders. 3 people that came after me already left with their food and mine hasn’t been freakin prepared. I had to ask and that’s when they just started doing it. So disappointed! Never coming back here again!

I am have not always been the biggest of this place but it’s one of the only things around to during my lunch break. If you like real simple food such as rice topped with beef. Then you will like this place, it’s fairly price for what you get.

This is first Yoshinoya in the north San Fernando valley. The establishment is a Japanese fast food restaurant. This is the smallest Yoshinoya I’ve ever seen and has no drive through. Parking can get crowded sometimes because of California chicken café next door. This location closes at 11pm everyday, making it one of the few places you can get food late at night. The food is pretty standard and the same you get at any Yoshinoya. I was pretty disappointed when Yoshinoya changed the recipe of their food a few years ago, and the taste hasn’t been the same since. Yoshinoya is trying to introduce other types of food, like steak and orange chicken, but i’d avoid those and stick with the original chicken and beef. The biggest upside about this location is that it’s really safe and clean. Every other Yoshinoya in the valley are in bad locations or dirty.

Cash only as their machine was down; okay, but when you have 5 – 6 people manning the front and shootin’ the shit, are you telling me not a single one of them is on the horn trying to get it fixed? And stop chatting about your weekend party plans and cursing… people come here with their children so show some respect in the very least. You just spent 15 minutes chatting it up then you rush outside to smoke? Really?! This place makes the Northridge location look more decent. If and when I need another chicken bowl fix, best believe I won’t be coming back to this location.

My review would probably be 5 star except I didn’t get a chance to eat. I was excited when this place opened. One of my favorites as a kid. I came by last week for lunch but the door had a sign that said CASHONLY. I assumed there was an issue that day so I went somewhere else. I decided to try again today with the same disappointing result. Really Yoshinoya Chatsworth! It’s the 21st century. It’s no longer convenient fast food if I have to go to an ATM and come back.

First impression. Unprofessional establishment. The girl who helped me was not friendly at all. By the way I am writing this review as I’m sitting here with my daughter and wife. There’s a couple in the corner kissing and just hanging out. The whole time the couple is cursing while talking to her boyfriend and constantly yells out her friends name Tracey some girl that works here. The two girls are messing around talking to the guy and has her phone out. You management should take a look at the cam and you’ll believe me. Just hanging out at the front talking so casually with friends. Fantastic environment for NY two year old listening to staff and friends cursing and taking.

I realize yosh is what it is, but I have found this location to be a really good one. I can in 1⁄19 and the young lady working the counter was someone who I have had serve me before. I have to say she is really nice. I’ve always found her to be really pleasant, polite, and just a nice representative of the company. She always greets people coming through the door and is very cheerful. I’ve also found this location to be very fast.

Let’s not pretend this is a full fletched Japanese restaurant… it is Japanese themed fast food place, and its pretty good value for what’s available. You can walk out with a chicken teriyaki bowl — with a real piece of chicken thigh, not some reconstituted chicken patty — for a smidge over $ 5! The veggies in the teriyaki bowl was not overcooked, which I loved. The teriyaki wasn’t too salty. Self serve condiments include pickled ginger(yum), Shichimi(Japanese chili powder) and Siracha… all were nice touches. What’s even more satisfying is that the cashier even smiled and made small talk. I don’t need her to be my bestie, but it’s nice when its not another counter staff in the range of moody or bored.

I can’t think of a closer Yoshinoya than this. When I’m feeling beef bowl or chicken bowl this is the place to be. The service is quick as hell. One time when I was feeling really drained from work, a quick stop here and Chicken Bowl was enough to keep me going!

I love the chicken bowls here. This place is fast and it’s reasonable for the price. Every once in a while I’ll get the beef bowl which taste great with the marinated onions. It can be hit or miss regarding the amount of food you get in the bowl. Sometimes there is hardly any chicken other times it’s got a good serving of meat. I will be returning.

I don’t know how a yoshinoya could get 4 stars. I had the teriyaki lunch here, and while the chicken was Ok, everything else was ubderwhelming. The beef was way too fatty and was lacking taste. Plus one star for having pickled ginger. Compared to this, yoshinoya in Japan gets 10 stars

5 starts for their food and their service! I got the teriyaki chicken and for a place that’s fairly«fast food» –ish, it was amazing! I’ll definitely be returning here for lunch breaks.

Normally don’t think to review large chains unless something was exceptional. Well it was my first time here, yesterday I came for my lunch break from the time I paid for my order till the time I got it was exactly a minute. Blew my mind how fast that was. One star and why I will never return, in the middle of eating my meal at work. I found a small black curly hair in my veggies and I can only guess where it came from. Too long to be an eyelash. Unfortunately not one of mine since I have long brown straight hair. Disgusted and unsatisfied I could not eat after that find. Ruined my lunch I’m not sure if it was meant for the customer before me who paid his meal in quarters but regardless won’t take that risk at this location again.

I was so happy that Yoshinoya opened here in Chatsworth. There’s parking right outside. But I don’t know how parking will be with the Chipotle opening across the way. It’s also located next to Starbucks too. This is the best Yoshinoya I’ve been to. The restaurant is kept real clean. The service is fast and made to order. We come here about once a week.

I’m a Beef bowl lover with the Teriyaki chicken bowl next in line but I have got to tell you something. The Grilled Tilapia plate with the lemon butter sauce is my new favorite!!! OMGosh it’s so good!!! Definitely left me satisfied and a healthier choice to boot!!! This location is always clean and have their pickled ginger full.

I’ve been a fan for years! They serve the best chicken and beef bowls! The service was A-OKAY, and location is really small. If your on a budget and want to eat something healthy come here. The wait can be about 5 minutes to get your food. Restaurant seems clean. I didn’t see a restroom? The parking lot is a bit messy, due to in & put being built next door.

So glad they opened in Chatsworth. The menu is easy to read and the price is reasonable. You know what you are getting. If you are on a budget but want a hearty meal, this is the place for ya. Beware that they only serve Chicken or Beef bowls. No sushi. The employees are friendly and quick which is important as I only get a 30 minute lunch. It also helps to get here before noon during the week to beat everyone so that you don’t have to wait as long. The parking lot is a mess right now as it’s under construction but other than that it’s easy to get in and out from. This location has a drive thru which is also a plus! Welcome to the neighborhood, Yoshinoya!

Came here for a visit, and it was on point in regards to what an ideal american restaurant should bring to the table. When I came in I got greeted immediately along with a smile from the manager. The cozy feeling of customer satisfaction was definitely there. Restaurant itself was very clean and you can tell it gets attended to every time a customer leaves. My order was easy and fast, no complications whatsoever. Food actually being served to my table was established from being cooked and sitting in front of me in less than 3 minutes. It had all the qualities of a great establishment present on this day that I came. Music was definitely my taste and they had a thermostat keeping this restaurant cool but not too cold. Yes it may be new but I can see this restaraunt keeping up with the highest standards possible for the long run. I enjoyed my meal and the service, I will be coming back most definitely! PS: Say hi to John or Jojo. They’re the managers for this Yoshinoya. :)
