This place is legit. A bit on the pricey side. $ 110 check today. But the menu shows you when the fish arrives via Air Japan. I liked the yellow tail with serano pepper the bomb. Amber Jack delicious. Both are sashimi dishes but sliced so thin. Sapporo a bit on the expensive side at $ 6 each. But the flavor and quality is worth it. I heard on the news that some sushi restaurants don’t give you the fish that you order. This place gives you the fish you order. Also the spicy tuna roll is not that spicy. California roll uses real crab. 5 star for quality even though the portion is small.

I was a little nervous about moving out to Chatsworth because I was moving away from all the good sushi places in the valley. I had tried the all you can eat sushi up the street from Omino, and it was gross. Just gross. They’re closed now, of course. So, I decided to walk across the street to try this place and I’m hooked. I didn’t know that I loved blue shell crab, but their hand roll is amazing. I can’t have imitation crab anymore. I just can’t, thanks to this place. The service is like almost every other Asian restaurant, impersonal and short. They’re as «friendly» as Asian restaurants get. You won’t be disappointed with the food, though. It’s reasonably priced, and great for takeout.

Most authentic traditional Japanese sushi restaurant in the Valley. Love coming here! They are exceptionally welcoming & have a variety of sushi to choose from. Black snapper is my absolute favorite because it’s fresh and tastes amazing.

First of all the service is awful. I kept showing the waitress pictures of orders I liked from fellow Unilocalers that I wanted to try and she kept telling me they can’t make that. Then she proceeded to tell me that this is the reason she hates Unilocal because sometimes customers ask for special orders and they may not be able to duplicate(smh). The food was subpar and not fresh or tasty and they are waaaaaaaay over priced. Don’t waste your money. I would rather go to Katsuya and get quality sushi for my money.

The food is great but they do not have any customer service!!! Very bad!!! It’s better to order for to go and do not have to deal with them.

We ventured out of Santa Clarita into the valley hoping to find an authentic sushi restaurant. Browsing through Unilocal, the whole drive down, all we saw were Americanized roll places. After couple of failed stops(walked in and then walked right out) we found this on Unilocal. My husband wanted me to go in and check it out first because from the outside it looked questionable. But we walked in and OMG. We found a gem. The sushi chefs were all older Japanese men, truly knew what they were doing. After tasting how fresh our first order hamachi was, we asked the sushi chef to just give us what was fresh. Everything that came out was so wonderful. Ordered uni and it melted in our mouths we ordered couple more orders. The halibut was also to die for. With one bottle of sake, our bill came out to $ 150 for the two of us but was worth every dime of it. Husband and I discussed bringing our friend next time and then decided against it. We don’t want too many people to find out about this place. But I had to review it. It was so good.

Just an ok place for sushi. Good fish but cuts aren’t generous for the price. And it isn’t cheap here by any means.

Omino Sushi is a hidden gem! Do not be fooled by the outward appearance… the sushi is awesome! My boyfriend and I absolutely love it and have been coming here for quite some time now. We are never disappointed. One thing that is important to mention, however, is that we do not come here for the rolls!!! We come here for the sashimi. If you are looking for good sushi rolls, you are better off going somewhere else, but if you are like us, and crave good quality sashimi… then Omino is your place! The only reason I give it four stars instead of five is because I don’t think their rolls are all that wonderful. We are always treated well here and come here fairly often so they usually know what we want when we come in. The best sashimi to order in my opinion is as follows… –Albacore sashimi –Yellowtail jalepeno sashimi –Kanpachi sashimi We also enjoy their spicy tuna roll, gyoza, and shishito peppers. The Cajun albacore is also to die for. We absolutely love Omino and will be back again and again!

It’s a small cozy restaurant is located in a small shopping strip off Devonshire. We were given a few menus but not the sushi roll menu until we were blowing through Unilocal pics to help us making our order. Not very helpful. We ordered the Tako Carpaccio(octopus) that was awesome! But the rest of the orders were mediocre. We ordered the sashimi and felt it wasn’t that fresh. We also ordered the spicy albacore but it definitely was missing spice, nothing spicy about it. We also ordered the crunch roll and the S4 roll. I was not impressed with the quality or freshness of the fish but the service was good, the employees were all nice and helpful.

I had the spicy tuna rolls and they were not good. There was no cucumber, just the spicy tuna mixture in poor ratio to the rice. The spicy tuna was not very spicy and tasted fishy. The nori was chewy. And it was expensive to boot. I really wanted to like this place since it is so close to my home, but I will not be returning. The restaurant is located in a small shopping complex with limited parking, and the interior is cramped but nice. Typical of a sushi joint.

5 star sushi + 1 star service = a 3 star review! Here’s the very important reasoning as to why… So I’ve been to this place a couple times. The first time was with a group of 4 adults with 1 child, the second time was with my husband and our service animal(a small shih tzu, well behaved, well trained, hypo allergenic). SERVICE: When we came in as a group they were smiling a bit while serving us our food. When I came in with my husband and our service animal, the server that seated us was polite and ignored the fact that we had our service animal. **It should be noted that our shih tzu is a legitimate service animal. For those who don’t understand why a small fluffy hair ball could possibly be of service, look it up. They can have skills such as medical alert for seizure disorders or blood sugar imbalance, disrupt maladaptive or negative behaviors, serve as a guide, etc. I will not disclose on here what service our dog provides** Anyway, we sat on the table closest to the door, behind a divider and our service animal stayed under the table. One of the staff anxiously came up to us and said, «no dogs allowed». My husband politely answered and said, «she’s a service animal» in which she responded with, «the dog has fur all over and there’s food here» in which we responded with, «she has hair not fur» and she is a very clean indoor dog. She crudely said, «keep it under the table». Our service animal did not make a single sound and stayed under the table. We ordered our meal and when it was served by the initial server, she placed it on the table gently but when it was served by the rude staff, she didn’t even give us eye contact. Sometime during the meal, she randomly came up to us and said, «please please keep it under the table I can see it». First of all, their table cloths don’t hit the floor so of course our service animal would be visible… Secondly, our service animal WASUNDERTHETABLE… there was no where else for our service dog to go… Although the sushi was good, ITWASSUCHANUNCOMFORTABLEMEAL. THISISEXACTLYWHATPEOPLEWITHDISABILITIES weather it be mental or physical FIGHTFOREVERYDAY. TOBETREATEDWITHRESPECT and then there are those who are uninformed who behave this way. She was extremely lucky that I, a behavior analyst who works with children with disabilities, and my husband who is a nurse, are on a MISSIONTOCIVILIZE rather than just criticize. The best part… as soon as we were done with our meal, the rude staff walked up to us and began chatting with us and in a curious but cynical manner started asking us what a small animal like ours could do as a service animal. As we are on a mission to civilize, we factually explained that they can have skills such as warn someone of their blood sugar, upcoming seizure… in which she laughed and said, «that’s amazing… isn’t there that thing(gestured to prick her hand)» We told her, «yes there are blood sugar monitors but there are also dogs that are trained to warn.» She finally loosened up and told us about shocking things small animals can do such as, sniff out a small item and search for it… She was laughing and did a complete 180 from her initial crude attitude. I took that gesture with a grain of salt because while this whole conversation was happening, my bank card was on the table on top of the receipt with the tip line still empty. Yes, I would like to have a little more faith in her and hope that she had chosen to open her mind and get educated but part of me couldn’t shake off the feeling that that was all FORSHOWSOSHECANGET A TIP. Considering other Unilocalers saying that they’ve been followed outside by staff demanding a tip… FOOD: Cons: –For my first visit there, I ordered a combination box(tempura, beef, salad, and spicy tuna roll). The spicy tuna roll was fresh. but the rest of the box was blah. The beef was thin and bland. I barely touched the salad and I usually enjoy salads from sushi restaurants. The tempura was ok. I prefer the frozen costco shrimp tempura. –During our first visit I ordered an Arnold Palmer and they literally gave me a canned minute made pink lemonade and a pitcher of iced tea. i thought, «okay, that’s fine, I will just mix it my self. no big deal» but then I noticed the pitcher was old, blackening at the edges and it didn’t look clean at all. Pros: –My husband ordered their Salmon Special and ordered the same item during our second visit. I knew better for our second visit and stuck with their rolls. I ordered the EBI-TEN special which was a shrimp tempura wrapped with spicy tuna with ponzu sauce and roasted garlic on top of each slice. Which was BOMB! Their SUSHI is TRULY fresh and delicious and I suggest sticking to that on the menu. OVERALL, It is such a shame that this place has such fresh sushi and employ such a rotten attitude. I am hoping that that staff is now more educated on the matter especially since the sushi is worth coming back for. It is also a bit PRICEY

My boyfriend has been raving about this place for awhile until he finally convinced me to give it a try. I love finding good sushi spots and Omino definitely delivers. The place was pretty bumping when we got there about one hour before closing on a Saturday night but we stills managed to be seated and served in a timely manner. I pretty much loved every roll especially the crunch roll. I’m usually not a fan of crunch rolls but this one hit the spot. Another favorite was the stuffed squid I loved the sauce they put on it, miso I think? Popcorn shrimp hand roll was delicious as well. All in all an A+ experience. Will definitely be back!

This place is SOGOOD! Definitely one of the better sushi places out in the valley. It’s not Americanized like the other places I’ve been to. I feel like it is a bit overpriced but they have some really good stuff on the menu. I also like that they have a Chatsworth roll. I find that anything that’s a special on sushi menus are really really good. Baked scallop was little too creamy for me but my sister was really over the moon for it. Blue crab roll was really really good too. Very fresh and tasty. The staff are really good too. Prompt and professional.

I give 5 star because the quality of fish is excellent. Very fresh and well presented. Overall it was awesome. I would just suggest quicker service. Not that the service was bad, but I would say they should check up on tables a little more often #justsayin

Best sushi spot in the valley by far. It is tucked away in a small complex, but there is plenty of street parking and inside the lot. When you enter, wait to be seated. I love how this place serves fresh fish, awesome rice, and traditional Japanese sushi chefs make your sushi. We decided to sit at the sushi bar and order various items. I tried Halibut with Ponzu sushi, Kumamoto Oysters, Tuna Tataki, Salmon sushi, Sweet Shrimp sushi, Uni, and Salmon Eggs sushi. Awesome quality fish and the rice is the perfect amount. I love how they fried the shrimp heads and brought them out. Great service and great food. Overall, Omino Sushi is the best sushi spot in the valley. Yes it’s not cheap or AYCE, but if you want high quality sushi, this is the best spot. I will definitely be coming back!

The first time I tried this place I wasn’t the biggest fan. After two years I decided to try it again. I was pleasantly surprised. The fish was very fresh. They had a lot of fish options that a lot of other sushi bars don’t have. I loved the albacore belly, the octopus was so good and juicy. I usually don’t order rolls but I did today since my husband and I were very hungry. Everything was delicious. I don’t know why my first visit wasn’t very good, maybe I caught them on a off day but I really enjoyed my meal. I’m excited to go back and try the baby abalone!

I just moved here in the area and was excited to go to the sushi place. I came here twice in a week! My first visit was definitely better than the second. Tip: definitely sit at the bar rather than a table. You will get better service and better rolls! My favorite roll involved scallops and very fresh fish. It’s really neat that they only serve 100% crab in their California roll! The parking lot is tiny but the place is worth a try!

Fiinally checked this place out after recommendations. Def one of the best sushi spots in the valley! I loved the oyster shooters(with quail eggs), uni(sea urchin) with quail eggs, giant clams, kanpachi, tai, toro and albacore salad. Everything was fresh, delicious, and better than I expected :) We also enjoyed the lobster roll and salmon skin roll: P Will definitely be coming back!
