The rating for this restaurant is 100% fabricated. The quality of the fish is awful. Our sushi chef had an issue with adding lemon juice and sesame seeds to our salmon sushi. He said it was«against the rules»! Really!!! One and done! Never going back!

This is the best AYCE sushi place I’ve been to. The sushi is comparable to most ala carte sushi places. The fish slices are large with only a small rice ball underneath. The rolls are large and generously filled. They even have several rolls without rice. I tried the Honeymoon roll which had shrimp, avocado, and cucumber wrapped in crabmeat and topped with salmon. Very delicious. The only thing I didn’t really like was the weak iced green tea. It had very little flavor and looked like plain water. The staff is very friendly and food arrives quickly.

First time trying out this sushi spot and I’m really impressed. I got the Bora Bora sushi roll and it was delicious! Pretty packed on a Friday night but got seated right away and service is great! I am definitely coming back :)

I started this review wanting to show the picture of this wonderful chirashi bowl I had ordered Togo a couple days ago but I’m not sure where it went. So I’ll skip the picture. :) you guys will have to just go in and try it for yourself. Going in, I had no expectations considering this was an all you can eat sushi restaurant. I saw the hype on Unilocal and decided to give it a try and togo this dish. Might I add, I did come in a little late(oops sorry), but the staff was in open arms to allow me make my order.(That’s a first) At that point, I was pretty ecstatic and was ready to go home and eat! I took it home, & wow, I was in awe. Definitely a place I will come back and recommend to others as well! Come one & come all.

Hikari Sushi is by far the best AYCE Sushi in the valley that I have found. The food is Very fersh with an awesome selection of both rolls and traditional Sushi. My favorites include the Salmon Lovers Roll and the Scallop Sushi YUM !. Unlike many AYCE restaurants, Hikari gives you large portions of fish and just enough rice so you will have room to try many different delights. The restaurant is well staffed so the service is always excellent. My favorite waitress is Holy, who always makes sure we have everything we need and with a bright cheerful smile. All of the staff here seem to be very up beat and happy, I suspect they treat the employees well. So if your in the mood for great Sushi, Try Hikari Sushi, you won’t be disappointed.

Excellent sushi, great service. Went for lunch. Got the all You Can Eat special for $ 22. I didn’t think I could eat that much sushi but I surprised myself because of how good it was. The only catch is that you have to eat it all, you can’t order stuff, not eat it, and expect to get more for free. Our server Holly, was a hoot, and was patient and happy to help us navigate the huge, all you can eat menu. The yellow fin was melt in your mouth good. The rolls Holly suggested were awesome.

We put our name down to be seated at 8pm on a Friday night, got sat at 9pm. This was expected. The service started out on the slow end. The drink order was taken five minutes after seating. The drinks came ten after that. Our first food order taken fifteen minutes after seating. First food came out only five minutes after, which was very quick and awesome. The waves of food just kept coming gradually about every five minutes. At an AYCE restaurant with lots of customers, this is very great service. We were very full, as the food kept creeping into our table one dish at a time, we ordered so much we were wondering when it would stop! They were very nice, hard working, and real people at this restaurant. They try their best, and they move in timely manner. You can tell they try to make their customers happy.

Once upon a time, sometime in the late 90s, the amazing phenomena called All You Can Eat *premium* Sushi faded away leaving lower quality AYCE sushi bars; our favorite cut rolls reduced to plastic boxes in Gelsons and Whole Foods and pay per item restaurants. I wondered into Hikari Sushi after discovering my favorite sushi join was closed on Sunday’s. I was worried about it being all you can eat because I only like the high end stuff. The sushi here is top shelf! The selection of classic and premium rolls are awesome and included in the AYCE price! The sushi is fresh and amazing! Try the tuna is melts in your mouth! They don’t over do the rice. This place offers great high end sushi with the fun environment of the nostalgic AYCE joins from back in the day. This would be a great place to bring friends or celebrate. Top shelf for sure

Yum yum yummy!!! I LOVE this place!!! Their sushi has the PERFECT rice amount, and it’s SOGOOD!!! I got the all-you-can-eat, which, BTW, is AWESOME, and everything was so good! I got a CA roll and some egg(tomago) sushi. Amazing place. Definitely coming back!!!

Seriously the BESTAYCE Sushi I have been to. Small rice… yummy fish, huge variety. You really will love it here. My favorite was the no rice Honeymoon Roll. So yummy. They have several no rice options for those on a no carb diet. Our two boys & my husband were all so happy! What more can I ask for!

The best All You Can Eat sushi restaurant hands down! Completely new owners from the previous sushi restaurant that used to be here which I wasn’t a fan of. Hikari Sushi also has a location in Simi Valley, but when this location freed up the owner bought it out and completely renovated the restaurant. It’s more up to date and lighter feeling than the former décor. There’s big flat screen TV’s everywhere and they constantly play sports and I’m sure you can request to watch something if you ask the staff, they are very accommodating. Everyone who works here is a rockstar, they love their job, they are totally there for their customers. Every now and then they will joke around for fun, and they will always give you the time of day and help explain any questions you have. I love the food here. The way the AYCE here works is simple. There is no minimum amount of participants required to get the AYCE. In other words, if you were in a party of eight and you were the only one who wanted AYCE you’re totally ok to do so. There are some rules with the AYCE, but they’re pretty reasonable. You can’t share the food with non AYCE guests, you must finish your food including the rice otherwise you’ll be charged, and if you want take out they will charge you full price for that item. The current AYCE price is $ 25.99 per person before tax and tip and $ 20 during happy hour Monday through Friday 2pm until 5pm before tax and tip, the expensive sushi items(uni, fresh baby shrimp, etc are not included during the happy hour AYCE). They also have drink specials, but even if you ordered a regular 16 oz beer not during Happy Hour it’s $ 3.50 which is a still a steal. AYCE tip: The paper menu will only list«Round 1» and«Round 2» however you can go for round 3, round 4, however many rounds you want! Also I would just order everything that catches your eye the first round so you can sample everything and then re order during the second round if you’re still hungry. They do not skimp out on the portions here, so you have to pace yourself or come starving. Also part of why I love this AYCE sushi is because the sushi does contain rice under the fish, as it is sushi and not sashimi, but they do not load it with lots of rice, they put very little rice under the fish and the cut of fish they give is very generous and fresh. AYCE menu consists of several categories of raw fish. Sushi: yellowtail, tuna, salmon, octopus, albacore, white fish, uni, etc. Baked Rolls: lots of variety, you can’t go wrong with any of them. Fresh Rolls: I suppose these are your traditional rolls, california rolls, avocado rolls, etc. Tempura Rolls: the category is a little misleading since there are items in tempura rolls that don’t contain tempura, but the majority of the items in this category do contain a tempura element. and finally the Appetizer category: miso soup, house salad, green muscles, tempura, etc. If I went into detail about my favorite items this will literally be the longest Unilocal review I’ve ever made… Let’s go for it! I’m going to write about all the good dishes that are worth ordering again and again. Sushi: Tuna, Yellowtail, Salmon, Seared Salmon, Albacore, Octopus. These are all incredibly fresh and beautifully cut. They unfortunately run out of uni very fast so we usually don’t come in time to get it. Baked Rolls: I love the Nichelle Roll… it literally melts in your mouth and is so full flavored. Really well done, several servers recommended it to me. I haven’t had anything like it anywhere else. Fresh Rolls: I love getting the avocado cucumber hand roll combination. Ask your server about how to get it combined, no extra charge. Tempura Rolls: Totally didn’t get any from here, these are definitely the heavier rolls from the AYCE menu. These rolls also contain the most rice, which is very filling! If I were to order this I’d save it for towards the end, otherwise you’d be too full. Appetizers: Definitely get the Green Mussels. I don’t know what they put on it, well I know there’s some roe and mussels. seriously magical flavors, I’ve never had this anywhere else. The tempura is pretty good too! It’s nice having hot food with the sushi. Fabulous spot for a casual date, sports night, after work, family, friends, birthdays, etc. Good vibes here, everyone just wants to relax and eat good food. Tips: the parking lot can get filled up quite easily, but there should be parking on the street. Just be careful of pedestrians, this seems to always have people walking on the street at all hours of the day.

(+) I like the update from the old Osaka, brighter and more open. And the best part is the AYCE = All You Can Eat. price is reasonable, service was great(ate here at lunch, table not bar) (+) Variety of the sushi menu was legit, not tiered like at some other places where you have to pay more to order from a larger selection of the menu. We ate yelllow tail, salmon, shrimp, albacore, mackerel, cajun tuna, eel, spicy scallop and more… even some uni and halibut(one per customer). We never got to order many rolls because of how all the sushi filled up our order sheet, table, then stomach. I think one michelle(baked) roll is all. Hot items like calamari was good too to change it up. (+) Rice to fish portion was excellent. Loved that. I was so full but not painfully full since I maintained a little restraint hahaha (+) Green tea ice cream included with the AYCE. Perfect way to end the meal.

Best AYCE sushi spot I’ve ever been to… it does not get any better than this! We’ve been here twice now, both on Tuesday evenings, two weeks in a row. Service was exceptional, fast and efficient! The servers were all friendly, took our orders and brought out drinks timely. Food came out quick, and they were on top of taking away empty plates, refilling our drinks and coming by a few times to see if we needed anything :) Fish were fresh, rolls were delicious and they do not stuff them with a lot of rice like how other places do! Price is amazing and affordable: dinner $ 25.99/person(2 rounds), kids under 3 yrs old = free! The AYCE also included a small scoop of green tea ice cream that is really good! We always ask for it at the end of our meal :) Our toddler(2 years old) — enjoys the edamame(not too salty and fresh), miso soup(waitresses also added more tofu and rice in it for her which she loved!), chicken teriyaki I enjoyed and recommend: — Uni(sea urchin) — limit one order(2 pieces)/person; fresh and love it! — Raw shrimp — limit one order(2 pieces)/person; great — Mix sashimi salad — comes in a small bowl, we always order 1/person :) — Salmon skin hand rolls — love the nice and crunchy skin — Cajun tuna roll — spicy but sooo good; my fav roll there — Cajun tuna sushi — nicely seared and spicy; yum — Salmon, tuna, yellowtail, albacore, escolar, spicy scallop —(2 pieces/order) all yummy — Seared salmon — mayo is a little rich but I scrapped it off — Smelt eggs — mmmmm — Baked green mussles(4 pieces/order) — good — Quail egg shooters — lighter ponzu sauce would be nicer but is still decent; wish they had oyster shooters though! :P Definitely family friendly: plenty of high chairs, booster chairs and a changing table in the women’s restroom. Place is clean and there is plenty of booths, table and chairs; great for large parties; few flat screen tv for entertainment :) Located southeast of Devonshire St. and Eton Ave; small parking lot in front and more in the back.

Looking for AYCE? Look no further, Valley kids. Hikari delivers a two-round AYCE sushi dinner for about $ 25. Pretty big venue for a regular sushi joint. Also, if it’s your birthday. Lights go off as they loudly sing to you. So if you enjoy the attention, that’s a perk. If not, discuss nothing of your birthday! FOOD/SERVICE: I’d say 75% of our orders had to contain salmon! Ordered the Salmon Nigiri, spicy scallop, masago, Salmon lover roll, Aloha roll(with cilantro. if you don’t like cilantro, do beware), & the honeymoon roll. The waitresses checked up on us every now and then making sure we were stuffed! If we were daring enough, we would’ve ordered more. I was glad we stuck to the fresh rolls, the baked rolls looked extremely heavy! Fresh rolls leave more room in your tummy(they’re a TAD bit lighter). Should’ve ordered one more appetizer or so. But no one could ever go wrong with Baked Mussels! ATMOSPHERE: It’s a much bigger sushi spot for AYCE than others around LA. Usually most AYCE’s are tabled near the bar but this spot seems to be known for their AYCE because it’s a chain. So this spot is awesome for parties or kicking your feet back with 4 or more friends! So much food. Lots of chatter. Tons of room between tables so the restaurant didn’t seem as suffocated as other sushi places found in the valley. Overall, expect another visit on my next major cheat day! Heads up(s): — There’s a lot but if it’s full, fear not! Street parking isn’t bad. You’re in an easy going part of the SFV. — They play sports for all you fanatics! Extra points. Happy eats, Unilocalheads!

A friend of mine has been telling me about this place for a few months, & after seeing all the good reviews I couldn’t wait to try it. I met my friend here & was surprised that we were sitting at a table instead of the bar like we always do when we go to AYCE sushi. He told me the service was fast enough that there was no need to sit at the bar to place or orders directly with the chef. The restaurant is well lit, clean, & has lots of seating. The food, service, & price is great. They have a large variety of food, & the sushi pieces don’t have a lot of rice, for $ 22-$ 25 you can’t go wrong here.
