We were the first in the place and were charged $ 5 ea. All the seating was VIP. So I was supposed to Stand there with my Date and Listen to a Substandard DJ My Best advice is to AVOID this place. And for it to be in Epicenter is a Disgrace. Don’t go! Not worth it!!!

I was NOT prepared to go on a Friday night to this place. Friends dragged me here, I was not dressed the part ATALL and was convinced I would be turned away at the door for dress code. To my surprise they let me in. And paid a cover charge(I’m trying not to get my feelings hurt on that). Dude at the bar closest to the bathroom was working his butt off trying to serve everyone. There was a wait but he definitely deserved his tip, as it was obvious someone did not show up to work the bar with him that night. Bathrooms are DISGUSTING!!! Like that middle of the nowhere smelly gas station bathroom with the flashy light and the dirty cracked mirror kind of gross feeling. It was just Ew, I would’ve rather held it(my poor bladder has not grown since I was a toddler, so these nasty pit stops are essential). DJ was decent, mixing some kick – s old school hip hop with junk that the radio claims is «music». If I actually put a dress and heels on next time, I would stop by for a drink.

Always have a great time here especially on Thursday nights. Giving two stars though because they wouldn’t let my man in because of the dress code. After waiting in front of the line(where the bouncers could openly see us) for 30 minutes.

Guess I was at the right place at the right time. Found myself in Vault on a Thursday. My group of friends got in without issue, despite being in business casual work clothes having come from Alive After Five. We were quickly given a section/table and partied for at least an hour. This was my first time here and I was surprised at how small this club is. Leave the shoes you don’t want stepped on at home. The DJ was great. The music was contemporary rap/hip hop. The crowd was young, average 23. This was not your grown and sexy crowd, so if you’re looking to two step with sophisticated socialites, this is NOT the place for you. This is your twerk something, stand on the couch and swag surf, back it up type of crowd that I appreciate on occasion. Negative is that there was no waitress for our section, so we had to go to the bar to get rounds of shots. Nevertheless, this was a lively time with a crowd that breaks a sweat. Highly recommended for Thursday nights.

I agree, I wish I could give this place a zero or a negative rating. It sucked! The bar tender refused to give me a cup of water and then told the other guy the same thing. 2 minutes later I walked to the other side and that bar tender was totally cool. Not sure why you would deny someone water. That’s just dumb! Other than that the music was mediocre and the crowd was hood. I won’t be back. those bartenders should learn a lesson on customer service!

I wish I could give them 0 stars. The door guy first said I was out of dress code with a cammo print Ragland style tee on because of the cammo print. But at the same time there are 4 other people already in the place with cammo on. Wtf?! Seriously? Then his excuse turns into«your friend was being rude». Being rude apparently meant he pointed out the fact that our of the 20 people in their establishment, 4 have cammo on which according to him was against their dress code. Please! This is the kind of crap that gives Charlotte a bad name. Will never in my life go here again(after having been several times before). You gotta love customer appreciation. Smh

Will never go to this place again. While standing in line my friend and I overheard the bouncers making negative comments about a group of black people. Once the line got to us we were denied entry to join our group in VIP with no explanation. We were in dress code and 100% sober. I am NOT one to play the race card but we were the only 2 black people in our group. After the first bouncer denied our entry another one took his place and acted totally oblivious. He then said«Well y’all can come in but it’s a $ 10 cover.» He said this in a condescending tone like we couldn’t afford it. !!! I could see something like this going on in the 40s but I’m shocked and appalled to be treated like this in 2014.
