How is it possible to mess up nachos? Quite possibly the worsed plate of nachos I have had the misfortune to order. Shame because the wings were quite good. I did tell our server so she could do something about it, but nada.

They’ve downsized the menu, which is disappointing, but the food is still good and the service was great! I had the nachos which were huge and tasty. A full plate of chips covered in beef & bean chili, lots of cheese and black olives topped with sour cream, guacamole and a side of salsa and jalepenos. My dining partner had a side of homemade chips and with eight teriyaki wings. Had a taste of the wings and although they were coated before fried they were crispy and the sauce was good and not too much. Our server was sweet and attentive making sure we had everything while we watched the game. I was surprised there wasn’t much of a crowd, but that was okay.

It’s nice. Having been to the Time Out downtown, this is more a bar/club. It’s a fun place.

We walked over from the hotel hoping to have a taste of nostalgia. The service was so bad that we waited for 20 mins with no one taking our food order. Two waiters, which included the bartender, is not enough for an establishment of any size. The service was so bad that one of the waiters mouthed«I don’t blame you» when we got up and left without being waited on. Not the staff’s fault, very poor management is to blame.

I like the atmosphere and unc tar heel theme. Just not much of that spirit though from most of the help. There is a Steelers fan club that meets there for Steelers games, and they are full of spirit. Go figure. I think many sports bars have gone down hill recently and this place is no different. Now unc athletics is again getting more bad press… stay tuned…

This place is a joke. I only came here in the first place because it’s the«sponsor bar» of a local group that comes here weekly. As I just said – we come here weekly. Same time. Somehow, it seems like the staff is always surprised to see us show up(if they’re around, that is). Last week, I stood with a group of at least 10 others who waited 20+ minutes to order a beer(I left after 20 minutes – not one of the 3 bartenders even acknowledged us in that time). The only way to get food in a reasonable amount of time is by ordering at the inside bar, and the food is awful. Several of us decided the ranch dressing is literally watered down – lacking flavor and of the completely wrong consistency. The staff is completely apathetic and clueless. Food is terrible, beer selection is terrible. If you arrive on a busy night, there is no parking because of the shared parking lot with the attached motel. If you are staying in the motel and want a real sports bar within walking distance, head to Bailey’s in the adjacent shopping center.

This is a dreadful and sad little place. Dingy interior, and food that matches. I ordered their chicken biscuit and it was not worth promoting. It was one of blandest pieces of fried chicken I have ever eaten. My dog eats better food than this. Combine depressing atmosphere with crappy food and a terrible beer selection and you have a restaurant where it apparent that the owner simply isn’t trying anymore. Throw a rock in any direction and it will most likely hit a restaurant that is better than Time Out. This place isn’t worth your time or money.

This place is an abject mess. The outside bar is generally undermanned, especially at busy times, and the result is that it takes an etenity to get service. One would think management would be able to plan this knowing when large regular groups are coming In, but alas. That being said, once you get service you get your food pretty quickly. However, that does not make up for the slowness. Simply put, it’s slow. They do have corn hole in the outside bar, so that’s a thing.

I came for the Chicken Cheddar biscuits that became famous on the Food Network. It’s not necessarily a nice bar by any means but the service and food were great. The chicken cheddar biscuit was HUGE. I split that and a sausage egg and cheese biscuit which was also large. The coffee was good. Its definitely something everyone should try at least once.

Slow! And definitely not as good as the original on Franklin Street. I tried this location with some musician pals looking for a late breakfast the morning after a weeknight gig. Our food took FOREVER to arrive, and the waiter only refilled my iced tea after he had refilled coffee for my three friends three times… and we were about to leave. I had the chicken biscuit with lettuce and tomato. It was ok, but no where near places like Sunrise Biscuits, Rise, or even the original Time Out. It was crumbly and cold. I’d avoid.

I don’t even know where to start. When you show up to eat breakfast at 8am and the place is completely empty… its not a good sign. Common sense would have told me to turn away… but I didn’t. Blame it on the lack of coffee. Rewind about 10 hours and I called the restaurant asking if they had breakfast, what time they opened, and was told they had a $ 9.95 breakfast buffet. Everyday. Starting at 6:30. I get there at 7:45…no buffet. No people… but a high pitched squeal of country music was coming over a phone situated on the bar to provide very uncomfortable background music. Once we sit… we waited. Then the server came over, got our drink order and it took another 10 minutes to order. Again, only people there. After we ordered it took about 15 minutes to get our food. Again, only people there. I was convinced the server was also the cook, but I ended up seeing another lady lounging around talking to some customers(as we were leaving) instead of helping the server. So about half way through our food several others started to show up, probably guests from the hotel. Watching they had painfully long wait times as well, the entire time this lady was just jabbering away, not really helping the situation at all. After we were done it took another few minutes to get the bill, then another 5 or more to get him back to the table to pay. All in all I think we were there 50 minutes for breakfast with a good portion of that time being the only ones in the restaurant. The real kicker? Our breakfast(with tip) was $ 27! For two people… breakfast…seriously. Never, never again. I’ve always liked coming here to watch a game if need be and the bar food is always fine for what it is, but I’ve blocked this place out all together now. 501 Diner is across the street but they don’t open until 8am for breakfast. If you can wait a bit later — go there.

I love this place. One of the best bars in a hotel I have seen, but I am a local! I come here«on the reg» and take advantage of beer specials. Sit at the bar ask for Amber or Tim. The only reason they get 4 stars is because they close at 11, never later.

Despite its somewhat odd location in the Holiday Inn on 15−501/Fordham Blvd., this is a pretty good sports bar. They have a projector and a bunch of TVs, and if you go there to watch a Carolina game, it won’t be so slammed you can’t get a table, but the other people there will also be Carolina fans watching the game who’ve discovered this place. It’s still bar food, but what I had was pretty good. I had a delicious crab cake sandwich with sweet potato fries. I was pretty excited about the sweet potato fries, but they weren’t as good as expected — they come with a delicious sweet sugar-cinnamon sauce, but that makes them kind of dessert-y, and without the sauce, they are a little bland. My crabcake sandwich was better than I expected though. I did have a few bites of some cheese fries someone else ordered, and they were quite tasty and in the vein of Linda’s(crinkle cut, with lots of cheese and bacon). Everyone at my table liked their food, and the guy who ordered ribs said they were messy but awesome. Not too expensive — I’d rate it as «cheap» but if you order drinks and food, you’ll almost certainly go above $ 10 per person. Check it out to watch your next game.
