I held an event here for about 30 people to watch a game. The good news is that there is plenty of seating(indoor and outdoor), parking, lots of TVs on the walls showing sports, numerous pool tables, and a pretty big beer list. It’s got wings, nachos, chips, and some other bar grub. I like dive sports bars, so this was so promising. Alas, this place has problems. Now for the downside. The big downside is the staff. The staff consists of the manager and about half dozen young ladies. Look, I empathize trying to run a sport bar just off the highway. It’s tough. These do not appear to be veteran waitresses who have learned all the art and trade of being a waitress. Many, but not all, of these young ladies appear to see this as a job, so they are not professionals. There were times where nobody was manning the bar and I literally had to go find people hiding in the back. Gaggles of staff were standing at the edge of the bar talking with each other. Some were constantly chatting with patrons while other patrons crowded the bar waiting trying to order. Others seemed to be in the kitchen for long periods. When I waited at the bar counter, I heard other patrons grumbled WTF as we commiserated with the sub-par service. A pet peave of mine are wait staff who go station to station. They take one order from a single patron, go to the bar empty handed, wait for it to get filled and then come back 10 minutes later — rather than take a bunch of orders, clear away armloads of empty glasses/dishes, and come back with a tray of orders. Only one staff seemed to get it, while the others were wildly inefficient and more worried about flirting with the boys in the room than serving old guys like me. Our group was about 30 people and we were promised 2 staff to serve us. I complained to the manager who said that the two were proved, but he noted that our first arrivals were elderly folks who only ordered sweet teas — which I interpreted to meant hat he was saying there was better money elsewhere. Look, I get that some customers are better meal tickets than others, but please have the decency to lie to me about why they reneg on a verbal agreements. That’s not very gentemanly. What happened because of the bad service? Our younger group members showed up later and had a hard time getting served. We were watching a football game on ESPN and most left in the second quarter because they couldn’t get served and would rather see the game at home than get bad service here. Bailey’s, you kind of messed up my event and that makes me sad. I will be organizing me events elsewhere.

Two stars is being generous. Had to seat ourselves as nobody was at the front. Took 10 minutes to even get a server. Took another 15 minutes to get a beer. Service was horrible, kept bringing us the wrong beer. Food was mediocre at best. Manager didn’t really care. Will never come back.

They can do a decent burger and Black Forest sandwich but that’s about it. Otherwise the food is just mediocre. Good beer selection. Crowd is not my scene in terms of the bar but they have pool and games plus lots of tv’s to watch games if you’re into that. Better for small parties versus large tables where the service can lack at times.

We have been eating at this restaurant for more than 10 yrs. and it’s sad to say that this restaurant is going downhill FAST! Maybe they changed mgmt, but the menu and service is poor. Sad to see a sports bar go bad.

Wow? What in the world happened to this place? It went from a regular spot on my rotation to no way in the devil’s playground would I go back here. I’m assuming management changed since I know longer see the nice and professional one that made this place run and was always on the floor. The last and final visit there was no hostess so we waited and caught the bartender’s eye who got someone to seat us. She sat us next to a group of waitstaff who were drinking and eating maybe after their shift? They were loud enough that I heard one waitress say how she had her tits(sic) on Instagram. My husband and I just looked at each other like what the hell… Out waiter seemed pretty spacey and kept bypassing us to go to the employees table and chat it up with them. He was forgetful and we had to remind him a few times for things. My husband ordered the ribs which for the price was a very small portion though he said it was good. It came with Parmesan fries without any discernible Parmesan. I ordered the veggie burger which I had before that was house made but this was clearly a Sysco burger that was soft and soggy. I got a side salad which was so nondescript and lackluster. They really used to have a good menu but since they’ve changed it the food quality And selection is poor. This place is incredibly loud with the tvs blaring. I know it’s a sports bar but we aren’t hearing impaired. The one star is that they can make a decent margarita.

Just left Bailey’s for a Thursday night date and I had a great experience, primarily because of my waitress Tatyana(spelling). She was attentive throughout the entire dinner and accommodated our request. We both ordered margaritas that were mediocre, but she offered various solutions. I would return for the service!

The service was great. I’ll say that but the food is overpriced for small portions. I could have gotten a sandwich twice as big at which which for the same price. I’m sure if I had been there to drink I would have had a better time.

I have been coming here for 6 years off and on. It’s always been fun and the food is awesome. However, recently the wait staff has been more than lacking. I decided to bring my fiancé last night for some pool, drinks, and a good time; however, it was everything but. We sat and waited to be greeted as servers continued to walk past our table, not once acknowledging us. We watched as one server sat down with other guests, flirting and using offensive language. We were never greeted which forced us to go to the bar and order. Tatiana is an awesome bar tender, be sure to request her when you go in. We will be back but I hope things drastically improve.

Pool tables. Decent food. Decent beer selection. Every football game I’m interested in is on at least one TV.

Great for lunch! They have meals including drinks for 6.99 for lunch m-f 11 – 2. The salad, no extra charge to use for a side, I was impressed with the size and the colorful-ness. You can get the fox chicken sandwich in any sauce. The chicken was huge and tasted very fresh. Very happy with meal and service. Even got a card for lunch rewards.

They have wings. They have beer. They have specials. They have good salsa. They have pool tables. They have TVs lining the walls and over the bar. There. I just reviewed every sports bar in America, including Bailey’s. Ennui aside, they do everything OK, but it’s nothing special. Plenty of options for beer and wing sauce, plus salads and sandwiches of the type you can get anywhere. Service is friendly, there’s plenty of easy parking, but sometimes the kitchen is a bit slow. The interior looks a little dated now, but it’s a pretty decent spot to watch a game with good sightlines. Probably the only place in the area that’s significantly better for viewing is Carolina Ale House, which is my top choice for big football games because of the giant screen they have visible from anywhere in the restaurant.

So let’s start off with the positives: It’s great looking inside, clean, roomy, high class sports bar with a ton of TVs. Service was also great, we were four families, four checks 9 kids and one wonderful waitress. Having said that, all and I mean all of the food was bad. Onion rings were greasy, chicken breast was dry, reuben was rubbery, wing sauce was weird, sliders were flavorless. I could go on and on, but everyone, male/female — young/old, all thought the food was horrible. Maybe if you’re just up for a beer and the game, it’s a good place. Just plan on bringing a bag lunch.

This place has gotten awful. Came here a few times when I moved here 2 years ago and loved it. I’ve been playing pool here for the last 3 months and it keeps getting worse. Who wants sit in a bar that smells like raw sewage all the time. The management say it’s our grease traps being cleaned out. Every week? I’m in the business, I call bullshit, there’s a major problem and they don’t want to spend the money to fix it. I feel bad for any families that decide to dine, if it smells this bad in the dining room what hell is it like behind the walls and in the kitchen.

I don’t like to give lots of 5 star reviews, but I was surprised to see this place not rated higher overall. When I thought about it, I can’t come up with any complaints in 10+ visits to Bailey’s over the past couple years – with large groups, as a couple, and with parents, my experience has always been pleasantly consistent. This place is big, and I have never had a wait. There is a back room with pool that I’ve sat in to watch big soccer games before. Televisions all over, and a good-sized bar. Good beer selection, and the food is your typical, standard sports bar food – but never disappointing. The waitresses are friendly and flirty. This is everything a sports bar should be. The manager there is extremely friendly and conscientious, and always goes above and beyond – I wish I could remember his name!

It’s easy to root for your favorite team when you live in the city where it’s based. But when you’re a fan on the road, sometimes you feel sheepish in a sports bar wearing different colors and asking for a different game on one of the TVs. This is not the case at Bailey’s. Keats and his staff graciously hosted a crowd of more than 50 Michigan State Spartan fans to watch an NCAA tournament game, and we had a blast. It was so much fun to bond with new friends wearing green and white as we cheered our team to victory and another trip to the Sweet 16. The staff worked hard to accommodate our large and loud bunch, even putting us in a room where we could have the volume turned up to hear the game. We very much appreciated the assistance and attention. You made a lot of new fans that night! The next time we’re on the road in Chapel Hill, we’ll be back. Go Green ;)

Having heard about this place for so long, I finally made my way over on Thursday night and was so incredibly pleased! Our server was so incredibly nice, helpful and friendly. I wish I could remember her name to give her a well-deserved shoutout! Pint specials were great – order the Carolina blonde if you’re into light, crispy brews. We ordered a bunch of the late night specials: Nachos: a little too much sour cream, but nice and filling. Mac and cheese: I think the cheese was leftover from the day, so there were chunks of dried up cheese and way too much cheese-less pasta. But our server gave it to us for free since it was obviously not prepared in the intended method. Chicken tenders: Crispy! The best kind. Dip and chips: Get the spinach artichoke dip – I can’t remember if you can choose or if it’s included, but definitely order it! The salsa was mildly spicy, but memorable. Looks like a fun place to catch a game, but I can imagine how crazy it would get during busy hours. We went when it was completely dead and enjoyed the careful service and humming background noise as opposed to a loud bar. Also, the bathrooms were clean and offered mouth wash! Which I loved, even though I didn’t use, but maybe next time.

We decided to go here because it was after 10pm & we were starving. The beau & I shared the appeteizer plate called Play-Action Platter. The preztel sticks were very tasty & the cheese to dip them in had a great flavor, the cheese sticks were okay(nothing special), the boneless wings had a great flavor & we got them plain so we could try the three sauces & all 3 were great, & the potato skins were good, but not full of flavor unless you had the sour cream on top. Our friends got the hamburgers & when they came out, they were HUGE. They looked very good. I didn’t get to have a bite, but we are going back so we can try the burgers. The beer was good. They have good choices if you are a beer drinker.

I’m not sure if I’ll be adding any new information to the reviews already given — basically, Bailey’s is a decent sports bar. They have attentive and helpful waitstaff, the place is spacious with lots of televisions and pool tables, and parking is not an issue. The mouthwash in the bathroom is a nice touch. However, the food isn’t anything special, and neither is the drink selection. It’s an ok place to hang out with friends(especially a bigger group) and play pool or watch sports, especially if you don’t want to have to deal with parking on Franklin Street.

I’ve given this place two chances and I think I am done. I have noticed a few good waitresses(friendly, helpful, quick). then there are some REALLY bad ones too(I don’t think we’ve ever gotten one of the good ones near our table). We went to watch a game(that wasn’t a busy one) and our waitress ignored us for 10 – 15 minutes. She was talking to a group of people at another table– not sure if she knew them or was just working that table for a bigger tip. We always tip VERY well– so that was a mistake on her end. The first time we went– I got a chicken sandwich and the chicken was SODRY and I could barely eat it. The potato skins looked like frozen ones you could buy at the grocery store. I WILL say– that the 2nd time I went– the potato skins were awesome. so I am not sure what the deal is with consistency. That’s literally the only reason I gave this place two stars instead of one(well the skins and beer specials). Their mixed drinks are good– but no prices in the menu on those… thanks? The food is WAY over-priced. I got one beer, one small mixed drink and potato skins– and it cost me $ 20+ tip. Lastly– some of the waitresses who work at Bailey’s dress like hookers. So good luck getting tips when the wives pay. It’s makes the place look sleazy. Fox and Hound in Raleigh is a little classier. Oh and one of the waitresses brought us our check and said«oh sorry… ran out of pens» and just stared at us… like we were SUPPOSEDTOGETUPANDFIND A PEN? WEIRD!
