This is my third check in here and every time it gets worse. I keep thinking if I go back I’ll have experience I had the first time. I ordered a few to-go items at the bar. As I sat and waited for my food to be made, my smoothie was made in front of me. She then proceeded to pour herself the rest of it and drink it in front of me and not give me mine. It took right at about 20 minutes for me to get a dessert crêpe and three fried green tomatoes. She then rang up the order incorrectly and we needed to have a manager come over and fix The payment. Needless to say I haven’t even tried the food yet.

First off: if you have a particular food alergy, let them know right away. Seems pretty obvious, but I’ll explain below how I didn’t follow this. The staff is very accommodating. This is a great breakfast spot. I’ve have eaten here a few times, aways satisfied with the meal. This review is going to be on the Eggspectation Omelet. Skip the next paragraph and go right to the rewiew if you don’t want to hear about my weird allergy. So, quick background. I found out(the hard way) recently that I am alergic to kiwi. Yes, kiwi. Supposedly its the hairs on the skin. It’s not something I really think about except at birthdays. You wouldn’t believe how many birthday cakes have kiwi chunks in them! So when I ordered my omelet, I didn’t expect a beautiful thick slice of kiwi sitting on top. I apologized to the waitress and told her my personal issue with kiwi. I didn’t know it came with kiwi, didn’t state that on the menu! She explained they pick different fruit garnishments to put on the plate(and just my luck, I got kiwi). The waitress was very kind and promptly took it away to started a new order. This time without the dreadred kryptonian kiwi. Great staff, very understanding. Now the review… and a warning: I am an omelet snob. I tend to ultra critical of my omelets. The Eggspectation omelet has mushrooms, onions, green and red pepper, bacon, sausage, and ham. Comes with a side of their sliced fried potatoes and no mention of any fruit(a few strawberries on the side of my plate) and an options of toasts. Quick advise: after you order ask for your toast right away. Otherwise it comes with your meal and it’s almost too much food at once, for me anyway. The omelet itself was good. More green than red peppers, but bacon? What bacon? I noticed the sausage more than any other meat. The egg portion of the omelet was a little dry as well. Also, something that I didn’t catch in the description, no cheese! How can you call that an omelet without cheese. Next time I’m definitely going to ask that they add cheese to my omelet. All in all, it was a okay omelet. Definitely healthier without the cheese. So, ask for your bread right away, add cheese to your omelet, and look for your bacon bits.

I came here for the very first time. A lot of my friends have come here for brunch. They said it’s really good. I looked at their menu and they have so many entrées to choose from. If you love eggs… this is the place to go. If you like coffee… I recommend trying out the mocha caramel iced coffee. It has vodka! :) For my meal… I ordered the Eggspectation with bacon. Also a side of the corned beef hash. Very delicious!!! The French Toast is amazing! Next time I will try the chicken and waffles.

I ordered the Florentine Benedict which is one of my favorite brunch dishes. The eggs were half-heartedly poached, so there was some runny yolk and some cooked yolk. The meal also came with an english muffin that was mushy and nothing special. The real problem though was that everything was drenched in the hollandaise sauce that tasted very diluted and like empty cream. If the sauce was good, I could see why this might work. It was bland and heavy. The side potatoes were also soggy and not super appealing. Our server was very attentive but almost to a fault — we asked for more time to view the menu and she gave us about 45 seconds before returning. We were seated quickly. Additionally, the bathrooms weren’t super clean which perturbed me more, setting this two star review in stone. To top it off(last observation, I promise), we were seated in an area where you could see the hot food coming out being placed under a warmer. There I witnessed the manager or some food prep person douse copious amounts of salt on almost every entrée. Again, not super appetizing. I don’t think I’ll be back.

I woke up wanting some good breakfast food while my boyfriend just wanted regular lunch. After Unilocaling around where we lived and even though all their reviews weren’t the best we decided on Eggspectation! So happy we did! Our server was super friendly and the atmosphere of the place was great!(Really neat inside) I noticed really great happy hour specials while we were there so I know we will be back. I got pancakes with bacon and sausage In-between them topped with sliced potatoes! As you can see from the picture it was a lot of food and sure was delicious! He got the bbq burger which had onion rings on top and he said it was one of the best he’s had. Definitely glad we decided to go there and like I said I know we will be back.

I went to Eggspecations with my wife and another couple for brunch on a Sunday. It was quite possibly the worst brunch experience I have ever had. It took 1:45 minutes for us to receive our food. I understand that they were busy but 1:45!!! The only reason, I believe that we finally got our food was that I finally complained to a manager an hour and fifteen minutes into it and then it still took another 30 minutes to get our food. I ordered a smoothie and it came out an hour later — I mean, an hour to make a smoothie? I would definitely recommend not going to this place, I love their food but based on the service, it is just plain awful, I gotten better service at IHOP. The manager didn’t even offer an apology, just a huge disappointment overall, avoid these overpriced eggs and go somewhere else, or just go in before your hungry so by the time you receive your meal, you’ve worked up an appetite.

Not a good first time at this location. I understand it was a holiday and it was busy, but that is no excuse for what happened. Seeing that I had good experiences at the Gainesville location, I tried this one out figuring First Watch would be a longer wait. I got what I thought was an apple cinnamon muffin(I really like their muffins), and huevos rancheros. The latter I’ve had before there and it’s really good and plentiful. Well when they got me my muffin they got me a banana nut instead. Seeing that they messed up, they got me another muffin. And it was a banana nut! I asked them to replace it again. They bring it back and lo and behold, what’s the muffin they give me? Another banana nut! Eventually the manager came up and apologized saying, «We mislabeled the muffins this morning.» Ya think? The huevos rancheros was just okay here. Edible but not like last time. Oh well. I’ll be hesitant to come back to this location.

Not really sure why this place is rated 3.5 stars. We’ve been here at least 3 different times and consistently its provided excellent service, deliciously consistent meals, and decent draft beer selections. The entire menu is served all day so it’s perfect anytime. I’ve brought my in-laws here and gotten their approval. The fries are well seasoned and crispy. My favorite here is anything with eggs ;)

Being an egg-lover I had high hopes for Eggspectation. I was not impressed. Initially upon walking in I was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance and décor. Unfortunately the food was just not that good. My husbands omelet was so overcooked that the eggs were brown and dry. My Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict was so salty I could barely palate it, and salty savory food is my favorite. I’ve had better Eggs Benedict out of a warming tray at a buffet on a cruise. As far as chain breakfast restaurants go, Id choose Cracker Barrel or Bob Evans over Eggspectation any day.

Who doesn’t love a good breakfast! Rafael was our server and the bartender(we went in for a late dinner). He was very attentive considering he kept a pretty full bar too. The food was ‘egg’cellent(hooray puns)! I plan on coming back with friends and family. Everything was very well prepared and the environment was very nice as well.

There was a deal on groupon so I decided to make the drive to Chantilly. Definitely a cute and egg festive place. Loved all the egg puns in the menu. I ordered the firecracker shrimp($ 7 happy hour price), Eggspectation Omelet($ 14), and the fruit stack pancakes($ 12). Now it may seem pricy but the portions are HUGE so you really get what you pay for; good luck eating it all. As for taste, the pancakes were my favorite with how fluffy and decadent they were. The firecracker shrimp reminded me of the shrimp from Mike’s American grill but not as crave-worthy. Since eggs are their specialty, I was hoping the omelet would blow me away but it tasted like something I could make at home. I would of gave this place a 4 if our server was a bit more enthusiastic. I guess my eggspectations were too high.

Q: How can you go wrong with breakfast? A: You can’t! I know some Unilocalers steer a wide circle around chain restaurants but there are days you crave consistency. Eggspectation breakfast menu is consistently good and the portions generous. My only difficultly is in the number of choices, just when you think you’ve nailed it, they ask for what type of toast and rattle off 5 more choices! Our service today was good(we had Ricardo), but they use a team style method where many team members visit and deliver food, refill glasses and check-in on the customers. It can be a little catch if you can with finding your waiter, so it might worthwhile to point out that service is team style and«feel free to ask anyone in an apron». We were in and out within 40 minutes! I love the banana and chocolate crêpe as it works for dessert, appetizer or main course! Somehow the bananas mitigate my sin of chocolate and crêpe!

I so want to love this place. It has an amazing selection of beers on tap, but the service is simply horrid in the evenings. I convinced a group from work to come here for our weekly after-hours get together. We tried it several times but was driven off by dismal service. Tonight, I came back again by myself in the hope that things had changed. 15 minutes for my first beer, 45 minutes to get my food, which only came after I asked them to check on it. It immediately came out then. Hmmmm. The food is decent; beer selection is amazing. All this ruined by the slooooow and inattentive service. I have finally given up and will not return.

A nice little hometown restaurant with fantastic food. I ordered the smoked salmon eggs benny. Fantastic pairing of smoked salmon on toast with red onions, cream cheese, capers, and a hollandaise sauce over poached eggs. Also there were a side of Lyonnaise potatoes and fresh fruit to cleanse the palate to keep re-tasting the deliciousness of the eggs Benedict, because it was so rich. I also ordered a green smoothie which is why I am subtracting one star. It was a delicious smoothie, but mine was full of uncrushed ice at the bottom making it difficult to drink my drink. No need to add ice to the smoothie! It’s fine the way it is, or just a bit of water would do. Also the price of the smoothie was a bit high for what was definitely frozen fruits and greens put in a blender with ice to be blended. Other than that I thought it was a great sit down place! I can see why it is so popular!

Hit or miss. Biscuit burned. Cheese grits good. Veggie egg omelet was super dry but lots of veggies. Croissant is not a croissant. It is a crescent roll. Kids hamburger and fries and the kids scrambled egg breakfasts were the winner. Burger great after we added tomato and lettuce(it comes dry). Bacon in kids meal done just right. Waitress super nice. Corned beef hash… SKIP!!! Fist sized portion(and we asked before ordering). But… Their potatoes were excellent and I do not like breakfast potatoes.

If your looking for a place where you can sit down and be completely ignored, then this is the place for you. A pleasantly appointed restaurant staffed by a group of overwhelmed indifferent half-wits will remind why there is a minimum wage and not all states have embraced recreational marijuana use. After asking for water there times my server actually asked me if I wanted something to drink. Please don’t trouble yourself. I know how hard it is to remember the water I requested the last three times we interacted. Luckily, my server managed to ignore my water request the entire time I was there. I guess he figured fish has sex in water so it is not to be trusted. After the fourth time I ordered water it arrived thirteen minutes later. The menu is varied, and everyone should be able to find something. Cocktails are a must. They can’t bring water, but they do bring cocktails to the table in a timely fashion. Bloody Mary’s and mimosas are yummy. Fortunately the food was tasty and very filling, but the poached eggs came out soft boiled and the crêpe was more like a burrito.

*** 3 ½ stars *** Selection is huge! The Lobster Benny(eggs benedict with lobster chunks) was delicious. I subbed out the potatoes for a side salad, which came way overdressed(to the point of being inedible), but would’ve otherwise been a nice complement to the heavy egg dish. I really enjoyed my cappuccino. The foam came topped with cinnamon and(I believe) nutmeg which was lovely. I recommend round tables especially for big groups! There were 16 of us at a super long table making for limited conversation. All-in-all a decent brunch chain; just be prepared for a wait on the weekends.

Great atmosphere — very festive for the holidays! had the blue cheese burger — cooked well, not soggy — I hate when the burger is so greasy that the bun gets soggy!!! It was nice and crisp. Everyone in our party of 6 was happy with the entire staff, food and establishment!

What a great place! Picked it based on Unilocal reviews and it was close to our hotel. Saturday morning meant a little wait but we popped to sit at the high-top and watch the cooks and got right in! Everyone was friendly and hard at work. Coffee was strong and good, Bloody Mary was PERFECT! Lots of drink and food options. A huge and all around great menu. They split the omelet for us and we also shared the French toast. It came out fast and was amazing. If we lived here we would be regulars. We may still go back for some dessert later.

Look, I live in the damn ‘burbs of the ‘burbs. There are no interesting, amazing brunch places. I’m over it. Enter: Eggspectation. The food and service are solid. I get the French toast with the bananas and strawberries. It’s pretty good. Prices aren’t cheap here. But what choice do I really have? I’m paying DC prices for a chain restaurant. And there are no unlimited mimosas. Eggspectation wins because they are a reliable. If I were having out of town guests, I feel confident bringing them here for a good meal.
