LongHorn does not disappoint. Granted, when you walk in, don’t expect Morton’s or Capital Grille type steaks. But for«somewhat cheap» steaks, its pretty darn good. They always get our steak temperature correct and its flavorful. You can’t go wrong with that damn evil bread they bring out, you really can’t stop its awful. Even the appetizers are great. One of my favorite is the sweet chili calamari. They bring a huge plate filled with flash fried calamari on a bed of lettuce, with extra sweet chili sauce on the side. Just divine, cooked perfectly and the sauce is great. I usually order a filet here, done medium well, always comes out correctly and well seasoned. We’ve gotten James J. several times as our server, and he is phenomenal. Very attentive, always ready with a new refill and great at checking up. Really nice guy! Whether we get him or not, the service is always consistent and we leave happy. And prices are affordable, if you want cheap but great steaks.

Yes this is chain restaurant, however I’ve had consistent service and delicious meals at this location. We ate in the bar area as I wanted to watch some of the game(Go CAPS!). We started with the Texas Tonion, which is definitely a favorite with me and the kids as we devoured it with ease. The onion pedals are crisp and the dipping sauce has just the right amount of zing. I also ordered the 10 oz. NY Strip. It was on the thin side, as I prefer thicker steaks, but it was seasoned well, cooked correctly and had lots of flavor. I mentioned this to our server and she offered to bring out the bigger NY Strip, but I was happy with the taste, so I declined. Again, the service was on point and our waitress wanted to ensure I was completely satisfied. My son ate the 8oz sirloin which was cooked to the correct temperature and was seasoned very well for our taste. It was juicy, tender and had lots of flavor. My daughter enjoyed the kids grilled chicken, which was also cooked correctly as it too was juicy and not dry. If you’re looking for a good decent steak at a very reasonable price then this should be on a short list.

I had Flo’s filet and it was EXCELLENT — tender, juicy and cooked to perfection. Hubby had Steak Frites and said it was great. Son had prime rib –same review. The rib eye was just OK –too fatty. Service was great. We’ll be back. As hubby said, they give Outback a run for their money!

Time after time after time, this place delivers a perfectly cooked, top-notch sirloin, usually without a lick of fat or gristle — VERY impressive. Knocks the socks off Outback. Great staff, speedy and friendly service, perfect baked potatoes.

The service was excellent and the food was delicious. This was our first time at this Longhorne and we will be back whenever we are in this area again!

The food is always good. Nice portions. Love their bread. I’m told that the broccoli cheddar soup is very good. Trying a new signature side pecan praline crusted sweet potato casserole.

We came to this LongHorn because my wife really wanted a steak. We came on a Friday night. The wait was tolerable. The food was terrific and the waiter tried(a little too) hard. I ordered the rib eye and was probably the best steak I’ve had in a long time. The sides were so good I finished them first and saved half my steak to heat up the next day.

I came for an early dinner with my parents and I was truly impressed! The bread was warm and crusty and the salad was cold and crisp. My mother and I both had the NY strip, dad had the prime rib. We were all extremely happy with our meals. My steak was perfectly cooked and had very little gristle. The creamed spinach was amazing and seasoned perfectly. The waitress was wonderful, attentive and friendly. I’d recommend.

It’s convenient. LongHorn is a nice option to have in my neck of the woods. I’ve been here twice so far and enjoyed my meal both times. The hostess are always kind and do their best to get you seated quickly. Our servers have been friendly and attentive. I like that they bring out complimentary bread at the beginning of your meal. The food is consistent and it’s always seasoned well.

Hadn’t been here a while so thought we would pop in for a early dinner. Overall a average meal a bit high in terms of salt. Have to say 5 stars to whoever was doing the cooking. Hubby’s filet was perfectly cooked to a medium rare. My pork chops were done yet still moist. However that said someone is a bit heavy with the salt. It was just on the edge of acceptable so we didn’t mention it as we weren’t interested in getting things redone. Both of us had cesar salad which was nice with some nice cheese shavings. A bit light on the dressing in fact our waiter asked husband half way through if he wanted more. The creamed spinach was worth the upgrade and is large enough to share. Very rich! Our other issue with things are the pepper grinders. Ours at the table was a extremely coarse grind. A issue for those of us with teeth issues as those bits of pepper can be painful. I do love fresh ground but not this corse. Service was acceptable… Just overall I wasn’t wowed by anything and add in heavy salt and really coarse pepper the star rating hits a 3

This place is AMAZING. It’s extremely hard to find the quality steak that they have for the price. Every time I have gone I’m able to switch it up because of the unlimited delicious options they have. I strongly recommend it. I will say though… the service is VERY slow. Overall though – one of my favorite restaurants.

The restaurant is decorated quite nice. It doesn’t provide crayons for kids but it does have very good kids’ water cup. The waitress is a little bit cold and seems no patience to answer my questions. The food is good, and the lunch combo is below $ 10.

Hands down the worst service I’ve ever experienced. Six of us went here for dinner on a Thursday night. Getting drinks was about as painful as what I can imagine a catheterization to be. And it isn’t like we wanted water. We ended up getting two bottles of the most expensive wine on the menu, which only added up to $ 80 total. Of course, the waiter didn’t bring water until we had to ask for it toward the end of our dinner when all our glasses were empty and we were all dying of thirst as if we had just trekked across the Sahara. One of the guys at my table insisted on ordering the crab dip. It was as greasy as I expected but at least the bread for dipping was good. Nice and firm but not overcooked. Most of us got entrees, which came with salads but I think I aged a year between ordering the salad and actually receiving it. Then, when I did get it, it came with the wrong dressing. At least my prime rib was delicious and rare like I ordered it, even though they almost didn’t have it available. They didn’t have another cut of beef two other people at my table ordered so they had to pick a different steak. The sad thing is the service didn’t get any better as the night progressed and the crowd died down. Meanwhile, a shift manager was on duty and did nothing to intervene. Aside from being out of some food dishes, they also tried serving two of us the remnants of the Fat Tire keg(only one the six options on draft), which we all agreed to rename«Flat Tire.» As I see it, this location is poorly managed, which I’m basing purely on the combination of clear inventory management problems and the fact that our service was as disastrous as it was.

Server was slow and paid little attention to our order details, which caused my burger to be overcooked and my friend’s burger to be way under done. Then, in an attempt to fix the undercooked burger, he clearly popped it in the microwave which affected the taste. I’ve had better experiences here, and hope to again.

Longhorn CHANTILLY: No star because the hostess made us feel like we are bothering her. She looked mad, did not smile once and did not say a single word to us even after she lead us to our table. The server told her in front of us that it is 5 minutes to 4pm and she is not taking anymore table. We got the clue that they don’t want our business. We just decided to leave and go to the one in dulles town centre because we have a good experience there.

What can I say… I ordered the guacamole and shrimp stack. It came without guacamole. I order the spicy wings. I received spicy chicken poppers. I ordered red wine. It also came with cork. The food was decent-borderline good. Service was odd. I felt like I was in first grade… Quote: «Now, do you know why I have to ID you?» Sure.

LongHorn, the great American chain steakhouse! And yet despite being a chain LongHorn is actually pretty good. In fact, it’s really good. The staff are exceptionally attentive(and we’ve gone in with parties of 20+) and prompt. The food has been excellent all around, flavorful and juicy, well seasoned and not too salty. Portions are generous(as you’d expect) and they have plenty of options available to customize your plate for as healthy or as heart punishing as you can make it. The Wild West Shrimp are freakin’ addictively delicious. They’re spicy, but not overly so… and they have an aftertaste which leaves you wanting more. NOM! The Firecracker Chicken Wraps are also pretty tasty. For main courses, I’m torn between the Parmesan Crusted Chicken and Grilled Chicken & Stuffed Portabella. Both are equally amazing on their own. If I could get the Parm chicken over portabella I’d be in bliss. All in all? I’m a fan. Been here several times, and will go back again. The service and quality have always been exceptional, and despite being a chain, they’ve been far, far above average.

We usually go to the Longhorn at Dulles Town Center but since I was picking up my son from the in-laws, we decided to meet in Chantilly. The quality of food has definitely gotten better through the years here at Longhorn. Usually the Herb Crusted Prime Rib is the go to(juicy and tender) but since I usually feed my 17 month old some of my food, I decided on the Longhorn Salmon. Seafood at a steak joint??? YES!!! I ordered double seasoned rice as it was already part of the meal and you get an extra side. Being Asian, had to get double rice!!! ;) It was outstanding. The salmon was perfectly moist and flaky and not overcooked. My son loved it too! It also came with a garden or Caesar salad. I got the garden with 1,000 Island. Yummy ruffage! The most important thing these days is feeding the toddler. I ordered him the mac and cheese and asked what other options we had for side for him. Our server Sara suggested that he could have a dish of Mandarin oranges slices and strawberries. Two of his favorite fruits. Let’s just say this kid finished ¾ of the mac n cheese and the entire dish of Mandarin orange slices and strawberries. Extra points and tip for her for the fruit suggestion!!! :) My father-in-law ordered the pork chops and mother-in-law the grilled chicken with some kind of spicy sauce. Both loved their dishes. Longhorn isn’t high falutin’. Longhorn isn’t a dive. It’s a good place for good food and good service at a moderate price. I do enjoy the servers interacting with my son. That’s extra points in my book too! P. S. Like all chain restaurants, as a tip, sign up for their email/club and get a free coupon for appetizer or dessert. At Longhorn, you get an email coupon for a free appetizer. We chose the Stuffed Mushrooms with cheese!!! Gooey goodness and the boy loved it too! ;) Oh and free bread is always good too! :D
