La Vida Dulce Baking

I was introduced to the fabulous baked goods at my former employer’s campus and there were days I had to tell myself NO you will not buy yummy pastries today when you just had a HUGE lunch — have some self control woman! Then I would buy one and share with coworkers or family. oh the cupcakes are good not overly sweet just perfect so the taste hits and enjoyment can be rewarded and not spoiled because you have to tame the sweetness with water or save the pastry for later because it is too much. You look down and realize it is all gone! I ate 13 cookies or the whole cupcake. And yes the short bread cookies EXCELLENT! Lemon bread, Lemon Poppy seed bread, I could go on and on try it you will like it — oh my cousin’s favorite Pumpkin Bread!!!

Yumm! She sets up shop at my work a couple times a week. So far I’ve only tried cup cakes. I’ve had red velvet and strawberry. Both are wonderful! The red velvet is very moist and the cream cheese frosting has just the right amount of sweet. The strawberry was also excellent, no artificial pink cake, it had real pieces of strawberry in it. I also tried the peach pie cupcake with whiskey cream cheese frosting and it is the best cup cake I’ve ever had! That frosting must contain magical unicorn tears or something, it’s amazingly good!
