Oh how I love Rita’s and this location was no exception! We stopped in for dessert this weekend and I enjoyed my usual mango misto shake — so amazingly good and refreshing! The store was clean, the staff was friendly and they made our drinks quickly and correctly.

We LOVE Ritas in Cathedral City! Elissa is an employee with EXCEPTIONAL customer service. She always has a friendly smile and greeting to match. I love the way Elissa remembers your favorite flavors and even takes requests. We recently moved to the area and Elissa has even been helpful in recommending places to go and things to see. She is a true GEM. We highly recommend Elissa for the next available promotion!

We went last night just for frozen custard. Were greeted with, «As you know there is a nationwide egg shortage, so no custard.» What??? A business with the tag line«Ice, CUSTARD, and Happiness» you may want to pay the extra $ for eggs and make custard.

Oh BTW. No egg shortage. This is a custard joint pay eggstra for the eggs and charge more. So far it looks and taste cheap.

I really wanted to like this. We even had a coupon. We haven’t had Frozen Custard since we visited and tried it for the first time in Oklahoma and were thrilled to see it come to California! Which is the only reason we wanted to try Rita’s. BUT… They refuse to disclose their ingredients(in person or on the net) — which to me means they are questionable — and it tastes too processed and chemically to me. So NEVER going back. We’ll stick to Lappert’s or some of the other places that serve Frozen Yogurt. Too bad, maybe those other places will eventually serve a Frozen Custard with better ingredients down the road. Oh well.

Quality you can taste on your first bite. They have plenty of flavors to chose from so no matter how picky your kids are they will find something they like.

We found one in palm springs while we were visiting. I brought the kids to try it and they loved it. Their italian ice were good and refreshing. The frozen custard are yummy too, thick and filling. None of us got to try the Gelati though, maybe next time. Portions are great. Prices wasn’t too bad. They only had one server when we were there but she handled it pretty well, It was at least 15 of us, luckily no was else was there the same time.

Yes they don’t honor their buy one get one free coupon and just tells you to go f*ck yourself sorry I can’t recommend this place this is misleading and literally hitler. Edit: apparently reviews are saying a lot of locations are doing this which makes this a management issue. Also they don’t contact back because their too busy trying to bankrupt their company.

I wish I could write a review about the quality of their custard, but I never even got that far in the process… Never had tried Rita’s before and then got a flier in the mail with several coupons that basically said, «Free Cone» when you buy one, so figured We’d give it a try. When we entered the shop we were greeted with the counter person asking if we had ever been there before. When we said«no» she said she’d walk us thru the process, but when we said we had this coupon, she immediately said«that coupon is misleading. You don’t get a free cone, only fifty cents off your second one». I assume she has had this problem repeatedly based upon her response and asked if we still wanted to proceed with an order. We, of course, said«nope» and walked out. This happened Friday around lunch time and I immediately sent an email outlining my experience to the company, but as of today,(Sunday), I still haven’t gotten a response from them. Basically, a very disappointing experience and with all the yogurt and ice cream shops around, will not be giving Rita’s another chance.

Great service not to many suggestions though cashier was super friendly. I didn’t agree with the flavor :(the taste was similar to tap water.

First time here. Came with hubby. I had gelato and custard that were cappuccino flavoured. I’m not a coffee drinker, but the combo of gelato and custard was creamy, cold, and delish. Hubby had root beer gelato and vanilla custard, to make a root beer float. The service was outstanding, the space very clean, but the music was a bit loud. I got a sample of the fresh orange gelato. It tasted of fresh oranges. The margarita was… ok. It needed tequila.

I’m from Wisconsin where frozen custard is more popular and I’ve had it many many times. Thought we would give Rita’s a try. Walked into the place and it absolutely reeked of disinfectant. The odor was overpowering and I made mention of that to the people behind the counter. The custard here is made from a mix, so it’s not as good as real custard but it was pretty good. Loved that they dip the cones in cherry, chocolate or caramel. Don’t see that too often anymore. Next time I’ll try the gelati, which looks interesting.

The mgr, Lisa, comped a free quart and was quite gracious and apologetic. Giving the product some thought it’s quite similiare to DQ and $ 15.00 for a qt IS a bit pricey. Glad the franchise cares about customer service.

This dessert shop is unlike any other. The customer service is beyond amazing. The frozen treats are to die for. All the employees are extremely nice leading to a grand experience that will leave you wanting to return. For people that have not tasted Ritas. I suggest you stop reading this and go try it. I’ll be here. Did you try it? It was good right? Excellent. I look forward to many happy visits to this store.
