I rarely let little things get to me but today was one of those days where I felt it was worth wasting time to actually write this. I found it necessary to share a little wisdom about this place and the senseless manager and lack of customer service it offers. I come in pretty often and when I do the only good experience I’ve had was when a young man was helping me. Other than that, the only reason this place gets barely 3 stars is because the food is good for what you pay for. But having customer service as an experience and also being a woman, I know first hand that you smile and let go of the attitude. It really amazes me the lack of compassion and patience(the description of what customer service is) some of the employees and more specifically the manager Ashley has. When you are a manager of a business and you know people have the ability to support you or fail you I really do not understand why any business owner or manager would act a certain way other than of service. I cannot wrap my head around it. I will continue to come in because for the most part, I can let it go and I do enjoy the food but hopefully this will wake them up. A little advice, If you want yummy fluffy pancakes, a decent chicken sandwich and a manager with a lack of awareness this is your place. Thank you for your business.

I tried this place for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised! Even at a slower time of the day they had enough staff working to make sure the line didn’t back up. They were playing good music and the frozen chai was tasty on a hot day. The seats were comfortable and it’s a big enough location to accommodate a good sized crowd. There were some small tables and some large enough to seat a large group! Great place to hang out, to study or get some breakfast. I will be coming back.

Neat little place with great coffee! Driving through towards NM and stopped for a late breakfast. We hear they are out of green chile… Oh no! They were that busy and ran out. No worries though because they came through in a big way with their Hatch Valley breakfast sans green chile! It was fresh and perfectly cooked and really really good. We will probably be back on our way through in the future… it was that memorable! Thanks for taking good care of us guys!

Smothered breakfast burrito was good but wife’s club sandwich was dripping with butter with some pretty weak looking lettuce. Cookies were only average. It also looked like the whole place needed a thorough cleaning

We stopped in on a Sunday morning expecting a wait. There was only one couple in front of us, the four of us order and received our food quickly. Everything was delicious, I recommend anything covered in the green chili! I have been wanting to stop by again to even just get coffee, it was fantastic. The only downside is the odd seating. They have a mix and match seating and when big parties are in it made it difficult for a table of four to be found but nothing that would stop me from coming again.

We stopped here on our way down to Garden of the Gods. It was a really solid place. Prices were great, portions were healthy. Coffee was great. Ordered the hatch valley breakfast plate, and shared it with my wife. Was the perfect amount for 2 people honestly. The portions are healthy here! $ 8 breakfast… honestly not bad. This is a great little breakfast nook. Would come here again :)

The food is great, the people working there actually seem to really enjoy their jobs(even when they are slammed late morning on a Sunday) this is turning in to our favorite get away for breakfast and delicious coffee. Well done and will will be regulars. Go for the smothered breakfast burrito, you will not be disappointed.

Just a solid and wonderful place all around. No lines, no exorbitant prices or ridiculously large portion sizes. Just friendly service, good coffee and delicious food! We shared a plate of the Hatch Valley breakfast because we weren’t that hungry and the portion size was perfect for one hungry person or two people with a weak morning appetite. The breakfast plate was delicious! Hatch green chiles, cheese, bacon and sausage patty served on top of a slice of Texas toast. Skillet potatoes served on the side. This was so good we cleaned our plates and couldn’t stop remarking how well the flavors came together in this dish. Highly recommend the medium roast coffee as well.

If you are a coffee person and don’t want the big chains, come here. Not being a coffee person I wondered myself why I was here. Not the simplest to find in Castle Rock, but definitely worth a try. We hit before the busy time. They have a great coffee bar, with teas and smoothies, and good staple food. I’m told they use all natural ingredients, farm to table type stuff, but cannot verify as that was from another customer. I ordered a breakfast bowl which was mighty tasty and a cinnamon roll and enjoyed it.

Great food and fantastic staff! My boyfriend and I came in about 15 minutes before they closed and they were more than happy to serve us and checked on us often. I got the breakfast burrito with a stack of pancakes and it was all delicious. Especially the pancakes. My boyfriend got the Hatch Valley Breakfast Plate which was terrific and inventive how the eggs, chili, bacon, potatoes were on top of a French toast slice. Two thumbs up. He also got the French press coffee which had more than enough for two cups full. We can’t wait to revisit again soon!

Hidden away off the main drag, but well worth tracking down. Excellent food, decent portions and fair pricing all make this a must see for breakfast /lunch when in Castle Rock. Their custom made«dessert» coffee’s are a treat. The friendly staff and speedy service will keep me coming back.

I am working in Denver for the summer(hopefully to become permanent) and have been looking around for a nice bakery/coffee shop to visit. I saw this place on Unilocal and decided to check it out. This place is basically perfect. It has a great location overlooking the mountains and is an easy 2 minutes or less from I-25. The interior is typical comfy coffee shop furniture and atmosphere. They do have patio seating as well for those crisp mornings. Anyways, back to business. I ordered a mocha latte and a poppy seed muffin. It was maybe 4 minutes before it was in front of me. They were amazing. I simply inhaled the muffin, and the latte was perfectly made with just the right amount of dark chocolate. And the grand total? $ 6. Yep, $ 6. Highly recommend this place! I will be a regular!

Eggs Benedict and cinnamon roll with a breve latte. Heaven awaits you. These guys are pumping out seriously great espresso drinks and breakfast. One thing we’ve found out as newbies to Castle Rock is that this place is in serious need of some topnotch breakfast spots. This certainly fits the bill. The Hollandaise sauce is very tangy from the extra lemon which is just how we like it. The potatoes were under cooked but were kicking with flavor. Personally I boil my potatoes first before finishing them in a cast iron skillet to get that wonderful caramelization. Steven is a super cool guy and a great barista who free pours his latte art. We will return on the reg!
